Grow my own vegetables and fruit. Also, I only want to live in the provinces. No city living for me.

Always enjoy your videos! It just came to my mind to share that in my case and personal experience, though not religious, being a practitioner of Buddhism allows for sooooo much enjoyment in life on the bare minimum budget...by choice, not force. In other words, no fast/junk food, no alcohol, no drugs, no smoke (treating the body as "Gods temple") tends to equal plenty of money to do whatever you desire, wherever you live be it here in Wisconsin or there in Philippines. To top it off, love making is so much better, health excels, appreciation of nature and humankind abounds, living in the moment become easy, being aware is clear, there's lots more money, thoughtfulness, clear headedness and the like. Anyway, when there is a will, there is a way and cutting the junk often leads to enjoying a life few ever will doing so on less, even when you have more. All The Best from Wisconsin! Todd

Great post. I can relate to Mark I have lived here (Mindanao) about 10 year,s way up in the mountains and it's truly a laid back life. It does have it's down fall for me and like Mark it's the food or may I say the quality of food. I just can't bring myself to eating meat from the open market with all the flies on it. Plus the freshness of let's' say fish. I too married a lady with property so we build a house and it's nice plus a farm. Matter of fact I'm the only American living in this village.
I've seen a lot of budget videos, and budgets vary wildly. Tim is on the high end & this guy is on the low end. As mentioned, he has everything paid for. I'm not there yet, but planning to have everything paid for before I arrive for good. Even with everything paid for, I can see my budget being on the high end. I watch a few vloggers that appear to just exist, and that's great if that's what they want. I can't just exist. Maybe I'll change when I get older
I have my mother’s house build really good. And we inherited land from my father. So someday retirement is good enough. I will be just paying food electric bills and fon etc. I can plant some vegetables and some stuff that I will enjoy . As long I have my family is very important. Even though long distance, but thanks to fb and social medyo a big help for connecting the families.
We live in Samar and P5000 per month for domestic helper (5 days p/wk) is P250 per day... not high wages by any means (below min wage). That property is definitely worth more than $50k usd... probably twice that.

Hello Tim and family. Lets say that 650 euros its not a lot in Slovenija! As far I understand 800 euros per month its still preety good for a pensioner to live. Current situation. In my opinion. Great carring Wife !!Mark , seems to be the most intresting Smart person!
Great video! Everyone seems to be happy. But being able to have access to proper health care ( especially at old age) seems to be neglected.
Im living about 2,500 to 3,000 monthly , wife 2 kids and extended family in Dumagete!
650 usd is around 37-38k/ month which is way above the salary of many. Pretty good margin for living comfortably 👌
Great video. Hope you include Mark in some future videos.
When you reach a certain age existing is by far the most important thing in life. Father Time isn't impressed by material possessions.
Pretty good story MARK AND HIS WIFE SEEM NICE LUCK TO THEM FROM AUSTRALIA 🌟✨🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The house is huge and the farm great stay happy 🌹🌹🌹
Wonderful Life they have Built! Wonderful Home and Farm ...
This man is living the life!

*I lived in Taguig, Metro Manila for a year in a nice 2-bed condo for $850 a month, including utilities and food for two.*
Great videos, good to see he is becoming self-reliant.
He needs to love her and support her more. He has it made. He should be treating her like his Queen. She's his provider.
Good show Tim , quality content !! Tks !!
I have my mother’s house build really good. And we inherited land from my father. So someday retirement is good enough. I will be just paying food electric bills and fon etc. I can plant some vegetables and some stuff that I will enjoy . As long I have my family is very important. Even though long distance, but thanks to fb and social medyo a big help for connecting the families.
we used to live 200 dollars a month back in the early 2000s, it's crazy how expensive the philippines now.
We live in Samar and P5000 per month for domestic helper (5 days p/wk) is P250 per day... not high wages by any means (below min wage). That property is definitely worth more than $50k usd... probably twice that.
I think it was a lot more than he said he is a funny man 🍸🍾
That was interesting. What a nice guy, he needs his own youtube channel
I love the strong Aussie accent
My husband & I live in Phil. Half of our pension w half saving it will never happened in USA 😊😊😊😊
🇺🇸 Stumbled on this youtube video. Started watching but got hooked till the end! Simple conversation but so much interesting listening to two nice men just talking..
Cheers from Pennslyvania, USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice video! Mark is living a very comfortable life. I didn't realize "fortnight" is British English.
This was a good blog , what a beautiful piece of property ; does it make u want to start building on you and Chrissy land u all bought ?
Excellent blog cheers from Canada,🍻 Timman rock.
"How large is the parcel?" "I don't know...the whole mountain." LoL! You married well sir.
Hello Tim and family. Lets say that 650 euros its not a lot in Slovenija! As far I understand 800 euros per month its still preety good for a pensioner to live. Current situation. In my opinion. For a simple person worker to live in Slovenija - 1500 euros per month. Have a beautiful day in the Philipines. Bye. Rudi.
Great video. Mark seems like a great guy.
Shoutout from a Leyte Pinoy in Scandinavia ❤
Thanks for sharing Tim.. great video👍
just be intelligent and always use your common sense when you want to build a life here in the Philippines, we are kind and nurturing but we also experience struggles and we fight to survive too, everyday :)
I basically live with 1500 But I have 5 dogs, 3 cats an 3 chicks( that don't l even lay eggs no
more. to feed. 650 without the above mentioned collaterals (dogs and cats ) it is actualli doable. Ciao Tim, a Hug from Dumaguete.
I hope we'll be able to move in the Philippines 2 years from now..watching this video made me miss our small farm in Davao de Oro.My husband Randy loves to live there than here in the US.❤
Mark's a real aussie for sure living the dream. Fantastic farm, love to see the other property as well. I can see why he spends so much time there.
The scenery of the Farm is dope
Top Vid!
Love seeing these.
Ill point Scotty to this vid so he can see first hand why never to buy a GoPro 😂 but seriously its the most frustrating thing ever to be in the middle of something exciting or get home and find the damn thing didnt record or wont turn on, DJI Osmo Action's for me from now on only I think.
Well done Mark cheers for showing us your life in sunny Samar, id love to hear some commentary on Waray girls and how they are a bit different to other Filipina's, the whole hard headed, stubborn thing would have been good to know about before I got there and may help other hapless travelers in "them there parts".
I primarily use it for the microphone which is good and the ability to go back and forth from selfie to forward looking. BUT. I always have my iphone 14 pro max as a backup as the last few scenes show. It did take 15 minutes of continuous filming in hot heat before it failed.
@@TimKyoutube Whats Marks land like for sale Tim? I love Samar id love a place with a great view of Mountains/Sea to build a Cyclone proof house, maybe a dome or something, the only thing that worries me is those Waray girls lol, worse than Quakes or Cyclones 😆
No one is commenting on the pigeon sendoff? Haha, that was hilarious at 14:25
LOL Classic! Yea man... why is no one talking about that perfectly timed event!
No wonder westerners are moving to this country in their millions, it’s beautiful, incredibly cheap and the people are so friendly and have the same values we did in the 1960s
i went to the philippines few years ago, beautiful people, planning to go back.
