    I absolutely love the PDP platform! It is one of my favorites, if not the ultimate platform. I have the PDP match sf 5", PDP match poly 5", and the PDP pro e. All of them are extremely accurate when I shoot them, and it's just the most enjoyable for me. I'll have to try shooting this PDP f pro. I would love if they made a G26 sub compact with this PDP platform. That would be awesome 👌. I'd buy one right away!

    Standard PDP-F was "okay" but it mainly resides in my safe. Not as easy to conceal as the PPS model. Hoping Walther upgrades their PPS to an M3 version. Looking forward to your review if/when that happens.

    All Caniks come with 3-4 optic plates, more back straps, my Stoger bargain handgun comes with 4 steel optic plates, IWI Masada 4 plates, they can do it , Walther could too. Or how about do what the new Rureg RxM does or the Echelon. And for a msrp of 900 clams, that aint cheap, ( cheap of Walther)

    Do you know if this works with the standard PDP-F 15 round magazines ? I'm wondering if the mag well prevents that.

    Great Review! So looking at the price the non Pro version I can find for $600 and the cheapest I could find for the Pro was $800. IMHO (and it is just an opinion) For me what you are getting is not worth $200 extra price tag.

    The optic plate system would be ok if you got the plate in a reasonable amount of time. Easy for you to says it’s ok they sent your plate with the gun.

    I would have gladly paid extra for the plates, still waiting since September 15th… With the labor to ship, postage, phone calls, having to resent replacement plates lost in the mail and paying for tracking on the 2nd shipment you can’t tell me it’s cheaper not to include them.

  • @ruggedmeetsrefined5345
    @ruggedmeetsrefined5345 Місяць тому

    lol yep, cannot run anything else on an F Series slide. I was able to run my PPQ SC slide on 3.5 F series frame, but I would not recommend anyone do so; as it requires removing drop safety plunger. Cannot swap internals either. I think it’s a cool new design but I don’t like the break in continuity. A P99 or PPQ slide on a 4” F-series frame would be so cool but it doesn’t work. Maybe they wanted a new patent that won’t expire for another 20 years before a Turkish gunmaker can copy it. But

      Better is subjective in this regard. Some people like the 90 degree break. I personally think the PPQ M2 was a better gun than the PDP.

    The gun is a great shooter. The money you spend should come with better sights. I have changed the ones that come with the pistol. I want to say the sights have to be the cheapest sights I’ve held when I removed them I’m talking air soft grade worse then Glocks . I couldn’t believe again how cheap they are.

  • @robinj.9329

    I really dislike pistols with shortty barrels. Give me at least a full four inch barrel. Even in the .380.
    You need a proper sight radius for accuracy. Some weight up-front for handling. And enough barrel length to get even minimum muzzle velocity!
    My ideal "Service" or "Duty" has 5 inches or nearly so.

  • @1jimmarch

    If you're smart you do NOT run a plate on this. You go buy the Holosun SCS which has a flavor that bolts straight on to this gun with no optics plate needed. That gives you a good low slung optic with a strong co-witness and you don't have the extra point of failure called "optic plate".
    The Springfield Echelon and Ruger RXM have both pointed the rest of the industry in the direction optics mounts need to go. A straight RMR cut would work too. Plates are bullshit and need to die.
    I believe C&H also has a red dot that directs mount to the PDP optic cut. It's not as good as the SCS.
