I bought the top model with the installed optic and the threaded barrel. Mine came with 4 mags. It also came with a holster, that was for the original R7 Mako and does not fit the Carbon Carry. It also didn't come with the Small backstop or the Optic Adjustment Tool. I called Kimber to inform them and have them send me the parts. On the Kimber website the 15 round Carbon Carry mags sell for $48 each. I watched two different YT video reviews of the gun and they both said that the 15 round Original Mako mags, with the movable plastic sleee or spacer at the bottom, would also work with the Carbon Carry, if the plastic sleeve was removed. I called Kimber twice to confirm this, before I bought extra mags. Both times, Kimber said that they would not work with the Carbon Carry. After closely studying the R7 Mako 15 rounds with the removable plastic sleeve, I concluded that they would work with the Carbon Carry. I bought four of the R7 Mako 15 round mags for $30 each, a savings of $18 rather than buying from Kimber. I received the mags, removed the plastic sleeves and they are the same exact mags as the ones provided with the Carbon Carry. So Kimber lied to me on two occasions. Good luck trying to find a holster.
The first R7 Mako is too small for me to be interested but this looks like a winner. I've always admired Kimber products but have never bought one - that could change. 😎
Wow, the small details of the grip are really well thought-out. People like the Kimber K6S revolvers, this looks really good; I wonder if the memes about Kimber 1911s being paperweights die out or not lol. Great look Graham, looking forward to seeing this on the range.
Bump in the night, if I wake up, I'm clearing my own house and property. I'm not waiting the 15 to 30+ min response time for the local clean up crew, they aren't going to rescue anyone. The police in my area do not have any tactical skills, unless its the regional tactical team. In fact on some off hour shifts the officer on patrol to population ratio is probably 1:25K. The local cops are good at pulling over Sunday morning church speeders and issuing parking tickets. I live in a relatively peaceful area and even here the large businesses and grocery stores have given up and hired armed Security Guards.

As always, the best close-up reviews on the internet. Looks cool, can't wait to see how it performs.
Great review, as always. You are definitely one of my favorite reviewers.
Thank you
I love how Kimber is making good non 1911 firearms!
Love the trigger under cut. This Kimber is on my list.
Kimber did a great job with the design of this pistol👌✌️🇺🇲

Muddy River Tactical has holsters as well as the ones available on Kimber’s own website.
Shame on them for being dishonest.

Great review! Looks like my mako needs a big brother

First review I've come across on this new one. Interest peeked. Handsome pistol
Great video. Keep up the good work. Finally someone has an opinion about bore axis.
Slide looks amazingly similarly to the Arex Delta.
Thx. Planning on getting a TS9 before they are gone. There probably will be no aftermarket, but it can be a house and range gun.
Great video, as usual.
😮😮⚡⚡🔥🔥 VERYGOOD sudyord
I from THAILAND 🇨🇷 patlung 👍👍
Nice pistol
The Taurus GX4 carry has that same tiny over gang with frame fit
Any light bearing holsters for it? I believe every HD or SD pistol should have a light on it.
Definitely some nice features and kinda cool looking. BUT...How well does it shoot?

You must be new here. Wait for the shooting review.
Kimber 43x!!
Not quite, this is a different action type and different size
Very interesting video. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. Kimber has a history of manufacturing some nice pistols.
Have a great weekend 😀🙏
Isn’t the TS9 available here now? GrabAGun?
Here's the sources I found when I reviewed it: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/taurus-ts9
It sure is.
😊😊👍👍
Never had any interest in the mako 7, but this might be a different story
The slide kind of looks like a Tisas PX9.
Do the Taurus mags work? As range use ?
No, they do not, this uses the same mag bodies as the R7 Mako Micro compact.
Looks almost identical to a Tisas PX-9.....
weight ??
