Hey guys, Joelster here, I teamed up with Lustre to give you more TV options with similar price range and all from amazon, check out the link here: my.lustre.ai/uaHyS
This is the last review for the tv I want and is the Q60 for sure I’m getting. I been researching and watching reviews on the Q60 and now I finally made my decision and is the Q60 !!! Thanks for the review
Its ok, The Q6FN is a better tv from the two www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q60r-vs-samsung-q6fn/780/623?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 Even the Samsung NU8000 is better - the QLED
@@christianpaulista www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q6fn-vs-samsung-q60r/623/780?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 The Q6FN is a much better tv with higher peak brightness, color gamut and color volume along with everything else. The Q60R and the R lineup in general (2019) tvs has been shafted but the Q70R isnt worth u should pick up a Q7FN or Q8FN before getting a Q70R...Again all the R tvs are dimmer in peak brightness People thinking R is better along with FALD = Full array local dimming but thats not the case. More so if u can i would really wait untill 2020 when the next samsung series comes out thats when they prob will make a solid line up again i see they come out with solid tvs every other year...
That little change made the Q60r look exactly like the Q7fn. Thanks Joelster. Looking forward to some new videos about the Series x and Ps5 with these tvs.
Me personally Q7FN right now is just a solid all round TV for a good price. It may suffer in dark rooms with dark scenes but other than that excellent TV.
on the Doom comparison clip at 4:57 it looks like the q70 has black crush on shadow detail on the walls, i heard this was an issue with local dimming zones, the q60 seems to strike a good balance, color seems as vibrant on both displays when you have the game enhancement mode switched on, is this accurate to say?
@@alanng1740 Im not the one going around saying the Q60R is better...LOL www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q60r-vs-samsung-q7fn/780/597?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 Q60R lacks the color gamut, Color volume, Peak brightness and a lot more.....Heck the Q6FN is better then the Q60r LOL details missing on the Q7FN? Yea right by a long shot
At 1:58, does anyone else see that on the Q60 the right side of the image is brighter ? Not sure if its suppose to look like that or its washed out. On youtube all content seem either brighter or washed out on Q60. Only Joelster will be able to tell what it really looks like.
According to Rtings Q7FN has the double brightness! I am curious if it applies to real world usage. Could you confirm that Q7FN is 2x brighter than Q60? Especially in daylight the difference is that huge? I can't seemuch difference in your videos.
Yes same here in your video with similar settings per TV while gaming hdr the brightness is very similar are they set same in hdr if so then worth a buy?
HDR is not about how bright the screen can get, i think thats where the misconception comes into play to where they looking for a brighter screen and thats not fully it....Its about seeing the highlights in both light and dark areas...Alot of people say oh i want blindness HDR and thats not how hdr works....To sum it up you want something to look more true to life as u would see it with your eyes..Realistic image..Gears 5 HDR for example is done well and even on a Q60R u will be able to see it. Q6FN would show you more details with the picture showing at the same brightness overall..Colors pop more, The depth of the image sticks out, Your able to see more details in both light /darkest parts of the image ...To me thats HDR... HDR to me is more detail that you wouldnt see in SDR...SDR is dull, lacking
Color isnt an issue especially with the q80r and q90r anymore and zi would of hated it my q8fn has great color but conors glow more on my q80r just like Sony TVs they dont have the widest gamut but they have really bright vivid colors with live comor on I get the gamut is less but that's in movie mode as they test them other reviews have measure fit at 96 percent with the q90r and 98 percent on the q8fn both in standard mode so it's still pretty close yes rtings measure fit lower in movie mode but you do not notice the color difference in person except for the nee update because Vincent wanted more accuracy on movie mode and for it to follow the pq curve so now it's more natural and accurate but all the other modes are super saturated and colorful again side by side with my q8fn the colors glow more on my q80r just saying you wont watch it and say oh man I'm missing color it just wont happen just like last year everyone still says there over saturated keep in mind the q60r is dimmer much dimmer then any and has the least amount of color out of all even tho the q70r has more it still doesnt look close to as vivid as the q80r this year or the q90r they really did find a way to keep the color super vivid and saturated on the q80r and q90r and Its haven't noticed colors missing I've watched so much content side by side I enjoy the experience more with my q80r
I'm happy with my Q9FN. Its gonna take time for 8K. I bought a 4K when they first came out and then after 2 years my 4K did not have HDR. So I will wait few years till 8K at full speed.
I heard that the Q60 is a downgrade of the model - Q6FN (or like here compared against Q7FN) from 2018. I do not see any downgrade on the screen... I see more vivid colours. More options to adjust settings. The only thing is really visible is the quality of the manufacture. The Q60 is very plastic - here i totally agree that Samsung could have at least kept the previous model built quality...
@Donny Nightmare When you play a dark game trust you going to want that peak brightness..Gears 4 comes to mind...Shadow of the tomb raider would look bad on that tv ..Bad in a "wasting money on a Q60r way"
Q7fn>q6fn>q60 period. The 2018 Displays have more max brightness. Build quality and more functions. If you can get a q7fn for around 1000 Dollar / Euro buy it.
Q6fn bro I just got that one after buying the 60r as well, put them side by side and did multiple test. Q6fn has local dimming where q60r doesn’t. It has hdr plus mode and it has a better housing too looks nicer. Q6fn all the way
I'm interested in this TV as in Brazil it is somewhat afordable. What I want to know is how this TV behave with freesync and game motion plus. This TV have native 120Hz inputs? What's the resolution support? Once I had a 4k samsung that supported virtually any resolution but now they don't. I really want some options between 1080p and 4k beyond 1440p...
So I’ve been saving some money so I can buy my first ever flatscreen and I was looking into the Q8FN and it looks nice is it a bigger jump from that to the Q7? I tend to game a lot and watch movies if that helps lol.
Q8 has better blacks and better for dark rooms. Other than that pretty much the same TV. With Q8FN it eliminates it's edge bleed, less blooming. But just heads up Q8FN does have DSE, and all Samsung TV have issues with local dimming. Lastly Q8FN doesn't have a one connect box

I have the nu8000 love it, looks great in both games and movies. I can't really justify spending another $450 for the Q70 just for possible marginal differences. im completely happy with mine NU8000
And on your q7fn turn the contrast down started at least half what you have and look and see how it looks that's what I changed after the update first I tried lowering the backlight when I turn that back up and lowered the contrast I got a much better results I hate when they do these types of patches that feel like they the optimize the panels I got my auto updates turned off now
Keep up the awesome videos bro, ive been looking ahead of the new 75in vizio quantum x and hisense 75in uf9, i was saving my money to buy one of these, is there any chance you could do a review or even a showdown would be so amazing. I want to know which one is the better 4k tv, they look to be around the same price of $3,500. also im a gamer, so which is better for gaming, from what i heard, vizio has one of the best imput lag on their tvs. Thanks bro
I bought the q60r and it is very dim on HDR. now i see that q7FN that has much more nits/peak brightness is even dimmer ! . on same settings! maybe the local dimming whic is HIGH here.i dont understand that. what do you think ? i want to sell the q60 because of that.
Hy joel, please tell me whats the differences between my 55q6fn and 55q7fn , i want to know just in terms of picture quality,it is by far superior q7 than q6? Because from your comparison ,it seems q60 seems to be even slightly better then q7,or at least equal by picture quality. On the q7, the collors ,and contrast are more popping than the q6,or its the same?. And i know that q60 is equal with q6fn, maybe q6fn its superior on brightness.
Q6FN is closer to the nu8000 Q7FN is closer to the Q8FN Q60R doesnt even come close to any of them - You would be better off getting a NU8000 ....Q7 contrast, colors, peak brightness, color gamut volume pops more then the Q6...But the Q6 is still a solid tv but i would stay away from the Q60R Q6 Vs Q7 - www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q6fn-vs-samsung-q7fn/623/597?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 Q6 vs Q60R - www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q6fn-vs-samsung-q60r/623/780?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 Q7 vs 60R - www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q7fn-vs-samsung-q60r/597/780?usage=7318&threshold=0.1 ------ In this order i would go Q7FN Q6FN NU8000 - As a option Q60R
Thanks for the video! I guess 49 inch of the Q70R model same as last year, doesn't support FreeSync2? Will 49 inch benefit from FreeSync or the screen size is small enough not to need the FreeSync?
Hey Joel. Nice video. But I have a question for you or anyone who owns Q60R 55 inch. I looked at it in my city's store and it looked dazzling good. But I have one big dilemma and that is I am between BenQ EX2780Q 1440p 144Hz monitor with excellent speakers and everything and this Q60R 55 inch 4k 120Hz TV with external speakers(or maybe someone tell me If speakers are good then I wouldn't need to buy them, or I should buy them(Logitech Z333) and plug them in DAC(CREATIVE Sound BlasterX G5) , but I am planning to buy new Big Navi or Ampere when it comes out m but It depends on how it would perform and price. And Idk is it worth 174€ euros more for Q60R over BenQ monitor . What do you think?
My local Microcenter has refurbished Q6FNs on sale for $500 I'm considering it but it being refurbished is what keeping me from considering it. I Know the QFN series is better than Q-0R series but being refurbished makes me very worried. Even If I buy the 3 year warranty I feel the quality it comes in might be lower without me knowing.
@@stefwall90 It's 55 inches. It's a Q65FN to be exact. Can't really find anything on it but I assume its just a different model naming for it since it gets the same updates as the Q6FN. Worst case scenario it does not meet my expectations and I just return it. I know the Samsung QLEDs only have 120hz at 55 inch and above. I need the 120hz because I plan on using it as a PC gaming monitor. Jolsrer I need to tell you I was doing the same thing with the auto for the color space I got to tell you I think colors on everything whether it's hdr or not with a Samsung panel looks better with a native give it a try see what u think
@@DETERMINOLOGY it's all good these things are pinions anyway but to my eyes the native color space looks better overall than the auto color space colors have more depth to them that's just in my opinion though
@@DETERMINOLOGY everyone can have there opinion to me on the samsung panels through calibrations native give the most depth in color weather ur gaming and or watch any other content at least that's what my eyes are telling me but to each there own enjoy ur panel and be well
Based on your video (why do you only show games? real movie or movie trailer clips would be much more useful) the Q7FN looks better, better contrast, better color, just more apparent depth and lifelike compared to the Q60 which often looks washed out or blown out in the clips you showed. If I had to choose between these two, I'd go with the Q70.
Ip Singh great TV I have Q60r 55. On paper nits aren't as good as last year's. I think Rtings said 345-550. I guess Hdr with 1000 nits of brightness is crazy. Loving my Q60
@@0376eddie if it looks good than thats great, the only thing you have to worry about when it comes to a tv for gaming is input lag, sites like displaylag and rtings, show this and basically the lower the better. For most of the newer tv's on game mode the input lag is good but it really isnt the biggest deal unless your into fast paced games like fighters. Qled tvs are known for the low input lag which is why they are mention in TVs "great for gaming."The reason i say OLED is not what you want is because OLED tend to burn with stationary objects on the screen like a games HUD. Which is why an led screen is better.
Q7FN vs Q80r in light rooms or watching in day, still searching for the best one with reflections according to this subreddit, although Q60 looks better so expect Q80r will be muuchh better! www.reddit.com/r/4kTV/comments/cc57qg/is_q8085r_worth_the_extra_over_the_q70r/
The Q7FN would look better in gaming and movies compared to the Q60R...Heck even the Q6FN would be better then the Q60R..Hopefully you dont think since the R series is newer its better..Imo all the R series from 50-90R tvs have been sorta dialed back compared to the FN series..Hopefully in 2020 we get more well balanced tvs such as the FALD thats in the Q80R-Q90R + More peak brightness,Wide color gamut and volume that was in the Q7FN.. If the stats isnt right im not buying and ima sit on the Q7FN for another year

Hey do you still recommend these settings for Q60R? Also why can't o choose st.2084 as gamma function? Says this function is not available
Nu8000 still good for movies and games? ):
I have the nu8000 love it, looks great in both games and movies. I can't really justify spending another $450 for the Q70 just for possible marginal differences. im completely happy with mine NU8000
I love my Q7fn. 🤟
And on your q7fn turn the contrast down started at least half what you have and look and see how it looks that's what I changed after the update first I tried lowering the backlight when I turn that back up and lowered the contrast I got a much better results I hate when they do these types of patches that feel like they the optimize the panels I got my auto updates turned off now
How the q7fn is it good for ps4 pro and what are the spec plz i need to know
Nice Video Q60 is looks very Bright good TV, plz make a video of Samsung q80r Vs q7fn
I have a q7fn put away in store but I have the option to upgrade to the Q70r, should I stick with the Q7fn?
If you prefer the one connection box option yes if you don't care for that then the Q70R is probably better since is FALD.
Thanks for the reply, I’ll
Stick with the 7FN, the 70r isn’t compatible with the no gap wall mount either
Can’t get the Gamma ST.2084. Any ideas as to why?
Because you probably need an HDR format for it to be available.
Thanks bro
What about edge light bleeding. I am sure you must have noticed it !
Esque these a good TV to play mainly?
Awesome man. I really fan of ur work.
Can you please make video for " The best sound bar 2019"?
Yes, Im waiting to see which one to review first.
My recommendations are:
1. Yamaha
2. Vizio
3. Your choices
Make video only for best Atmos and budget prices sound bar.
In this video q7 dominated. Way better contrast...can see it in many scenes most obvious is at 9:38
q60 is trash
Can you please tell me what your Auto motion settings are? Is it 10 and 3? Pls reply
Q6FN is closer to the nu8000
Q7FN is closer to the Q8FN
Q60R doesnt even come close to any of them - You would be better off getting a NU8000
....Q7 contrast, colors, peak brightness, color gamut volume pops more then the Q6...But the Q6 is still a solid tv but i would stay away from the Q60R
Q6 Vs Q7 - www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q6fn-vs-samsung-q7fn/623/597?usage=7318&threshold=0.1

Q6FN
NU8000 - As a option
Q60R
Thanks for the video! I guess 49 inch of the Q70R model same as last year, doesn't support FreeSync2? Will 49 inch benefit from FreeSync or the screen size is small enough not to need the FreeSync?
no 49 and lower doesnt have freesync
Hi Joelster, nice video!
I'm planning to buy this model (Q60R) on the next week.
Did any issues apear during these months of use?
Tks
Thanks, no issues at all, my mother has the tv and she loves it.
Hey Joel.
Hi may I please ask is the Q60r good enough for next gen consoles pls tell me
It is enough for 4k/60hz gaming with HDR and it also supports Freesync, IMO it has all the basics for Next-gen consoles.
That's a good price. At what size?
@@stefwall90 It's 55 inches. It's a Q65FN to be exact. Can't really find anything on it but I assume its just a different model naming for it since it gets the same updates as the Q6FN. Worst case scenario it does not meet my expectations and I just return it. I know the Samsung QLEDs only have 120hz at 55 inch and above. I need the 120hz because I plan on using it as a PC gaming monitor. Here is the store page

when are you going to do more on the Vava? Im very interested in this.
Is the brightness of this TV high? I want to play on ps4 pro but her hdr is hdr 500, I wonder if the brightness and contrast are good ....
480nits get the q70 or q80
So my q7 2018 is having an issue, i can exchange it for thr q70 should i do it?
Yes, if you are having problems with it yes.
@@JoelsterG4k thanks. Is there any significant downfalls in picture quality. I would imagine fald would actually make it better am i right?
@@JoelsterG4k oh and the problem i have is its turning off and on randomly. They told me its a board issue. But idk it looks and acts ok otherwise.
@@lp37oh7 Yes, FALD will have better contrast and blk levels, yes if you have those issues right now it would be better if you replace it.
@@JoelsterG4k thanks. Appreciate it.
What do U think about the Q70r

What’s better the Samsung q60 or Sony 800g
I'm not picky at all. Still enjoying my q7 curve qled from 2017. Ilm upgrade next year maybe.

Q60r looks better in terms of colour, contrast and quality. Which tv is better between samsung q60r and ru8000?
Jolsrer I need to tell you I was doing the same thing with the auto for the color space I got to tell you I think colors on everything whether it's hdr or not with a Samsung panel looks better with a native give it a try see what u think

but in this video you made: ua-cam.com/video/2Jw8WNHgg64/v-deo.html
you said you had the q65fn!
@@JoelsterG4k But from this video the Q60r looks better than the q7fn in terms of brightness and colour.
Joelster, please do the 2019 Hisense H8F 55 or 65 inch TV - The price is really calling out to poor folk like myself :)
I will, just that right now Im in the process of moving so that will be until next month.
Love my Q7FN
Based on your video (why do you only show games? real movie or movie trailer clips would be much more useful) the Q7FN looks better, better contrast, better color, just more apparent depth and lifelike compared to the Q60 which often looks washed out or blown out in the clips you showed. If I had to choose between these two, I'd go with the Q70.
I showed a movie clip towards the end of the video, but i don't show much because of copyright infringement.
The Q7FN has crushed blacks all over the place
Samsung qe43q60r games yes or no?
What size are those TVs
Q6NF vs Q60
I could be wrong but I don’t think the q60 has edge lighting. They omitted it this year
according to rtings, it's still edge-lit.
please make a video of the q9fn and the q90r
Q60 is very much Brighter TV, it's Great
Ip Singh great TV I have Q60r 55. On paper nits aren't as good as last year's. I think Rtings said 345-550. I guess Hdr with 1000 nits of brightness is crazy. Loving my Q60

How this model for gaming? I would apprecuate an honest reply thanks
Don't listen to the troll, OLED is the worst for gaming
@@theelusivememe1772 i cant take my tv back its hdr and in my opinion a lot of my game look live like realistic. Thank you for your response
