Tell me during this test you drive a 125 or 155 ch, are you in normal mode or in eco mode? I'm about to buy a Ford puma and I'm trying to find out which of the 2 engines is better

The 125 has max torque 210Nm at 1750 Rpm. If you nail the sweetspot of the clutch, the acceleration is simply stunning. So, it is perfect for city traffic and it is also more forgiving on the turbo. The 155 has the max torque 240 Nm at about 3000 Rpm and it is less kind to the turbo, but it flies on the highway at over 160 km/h! The 6 speed manual gearbox is the true gem, as it makes both engines quite suitable for high speeds on the highway. But, if you will use the car more in the city, I recommend the 125 mild hybrid. The electrical component compensates for underrevving or mistaken gear changes and (I repeat), if you get properly acquainted with the clutch, you will accelerate from the stop light like a flea! Also, be advised that the sport mode is not just a marketing element. The acceleration is sharper, the steering is more connected, the suspensio is stiffened and, evidently, the fuel consumption goes up. But overall, the Puma is a very fun car to drive and also the perfect alternative to classic hot-hatches.

hey bro. I have the car 1 year and its stuck at 5l per 100km and the numbers down right on screen fall quick it is normal?

Average I think it ll do 5-6 km/100 km..not bad for a compact car with less aerodynamic shape than sedans and one with over 1200 kg kerb weight.
City mileage will b more crucial, if it can do a 8l/100 km itself its good

I drive an Ecosport 125hp also alot in the city and do 7.5 Liter in the City. So this one would perform better i think

Well not all cities have same traffic density right.
I am from India, and in my country even diesels struggle to give 7.5 in city, let alone petrols

@@1989rs500 but as you said. Not all have the same traffic. I didnt mean my response as an offense at all. I live in central europe (Germany) and stuttgart has horrible traffic. I can do 7.5 Liters in that condition, so to everyone else in Europe 6.5 should be able to do. Do your cars in india have auto start/stop?

No..we dont have auto start stop. But India is 10x more challenging country to live and to find automobiles that can hit manufacturers specified mileages

As we said in the video - the road went down hill more time than up hill during the drive. It's not a proving ground.

3L/100km? I guess it's possible downhill and with the one cyinder deactivation feature but I've had it for 2 months and you simply cannot drive it that economically. It is waaaaaaay too much fun, even the "inferior" 125 MHEV (which actually provides it's max torque 210Nm at sub-2000 Rpm and makes this crossover a proper stoplight racer!). I confirm that it is as economical as a classic Diesel, but whoever buys this funky looking car is not going to drive it like an old grandmother, especially given the "Fiesta" type suspension, handling, steering and overall sense of "togetherness".
