    The thing is.... Matt Johnson could make a Casio VL Tone sound great - so any synth or VST played by his hands is always going to be impressive ;-)

    You know why you‘re my favourite music channel? You‘re so good that you manage to put in your chops in every track you make without it sounding forced. That then reminds me, that I don‘t need more gear, I just gotta practice and make music.

    I've got a 106 sitting in my bedroom and listening to this is almost scary; it's like they captured the soul of the instrument and put it in a bottle! We can break out the oscilloscopes if we want to, but as far as I'm concerned, this is everything I'd want out of software emulation. I'm slowly transitioning my analog studio over to ITB and it's amazing how blessed we are to have these sounds at our fingertips for such low prices.

    • @lifescansdarkly
      @lifescansdarkly 2 роки тому +3

      @ghost mall As beautiful and tactile as my analog synths were, there was always something going wrong with them. I've easily spent thousands in repairs and service, plus every time you ship a synth you're taking a chance it might get damaged by rough handling. And on top of that most synth repair places are overwhelmed with work so I've had some jobs take over a year before I got my synth back, no exaggeration. All that time and money spent that I'm not spending making music just wore me out.

    I've had it for about a week and couldn't quite get my head wrapped around what everything did, especially tracking. This video cleared everything up perfectly. When I first open it up my default go-to right now is 80s Aoingy.

    Now this is how you advertise in 2021.
    Where full passion meets real demand.
    Just great people getting together creating beautiful things.
    This is definitely a purchase from me supporting both developers as well as great youtubers in one go? “Shut up and take my money” as the saying goes heh
    I love your videos Matt and am so happy you’ve decided to put your name to this and do this sponsorship with Softube.
    People really need to be awaken to the power of current SW instruments.
    Used to have a Juno but I upgraded to the big boys in the Jupiter series, so it was gathering dust sadly so I let it go into the wild. The thing is that this plugin version sounds even more moodier and alive than my old Juno, weirdly enough. Due to the advanced panel, some sounds I can’t even do on the JP 8. That’s how crazy cool this VST is.
    To be honest, I have almost everything that Softube puts out. Their plugins have become indispensable to me so I had to own almost all of them.
    Really, there isn’t a project that I don’t use something from them.
    Honestly this plugin and video made my day Matt, thank you and Softube!
    My sincere best to you guys!

Looking forward to a lot more reviews from you (maybe you should take a look at the Arturia MatrixBrute or its "polyphonic" brother the PolyBrute synth - both seem to be awesome and fun to play and to program). The expression pedal works a bit like using breath control, but breath control is so immediate and organic. highly recommend using breath, it's amazing how alive the synths become. I find some these Juno emulations (I use the Cherry Audio one) are juicier with a little more muscle for lead and bass sounds than a real Juno. Probably have a faster envelope too.
