  • Released in 2019 the Victor Thruster K BXR badminton racket is considered to be a 'design breakthrough' with its Ultra Thin Frame. It is the latest Victor's head heavy range of rackets.
    With the development of new technology, this is a very different Thruster in terms of feel from the grip through to the head. This video shares my personal thoughts following a period of testing.

    Hi Paul. The way u describe it, it sounds like yonex ti-10, except for the flex point if the shaft. Not sure if u hv played with ti10 before. If yes, do u mind compare it? I hv spent like 10 yrs to find a racket to replace ti10 but failed

    So am I to understand that the reason it takes so long to get acquainted with is because of the carbon handle/flex being in a different spot? I’m looking for a 4U racket that is aerodynamic (think bravesword) with a Dry BP is 310, and preferably medium stiff shaft. Do you know of anything like this? Closest I can think was maybe jet speed Ahmad. Also I haven’t seen victor publish it’s BP’s, how did you get to 320 for this one?

    Good review Paul! I did not what to expect from this racket but thanx to your review i'll let this one slip. Can't wait for your review of the ARS 90K which is coming out soon...

      Ir's very nice! I spent a week with a 4U version but didn't have the time to review it, At the time, there was no announcement about 90K so I couldn't say anything. It's a great racket, more head weight compared to 90S but still a fast frame

    Hi Paul, I’ve been playing with Yonex ZF2 for a while . I’m able to generate powerful smashes quite easily by my speed goes down after 3-4 games . I’m looking for a second racquet that I can use after I’m down a few games . As of now I’m checking out Astrox 88D and Auraspeed 90s . Any inputs ?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach

      Sunish pillai 88S or Duora 10 may be more suitable where you consider reducing the head weight. Alternatively, train harder so that your endurance increases

    Thanks for the review Paul, how would this racket compare to an astrox88d in terms of head heaviness and stiffness? Or would the 90k be more similar?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach
      @TheBadmintonCoach  4 роки тому +1

      88D is much heavier and quite slow compared to BXR. 90K is closer to 88D in terms of headweight and is still a faster frame

      Hi Mete, whilst I am hoping to get chance to test it, I don't know when as yet - I have to rely on getting rackets on loan from a retailer!

    Hey Paul, I want to convince myself about this. May I ask you to rank TK-BXR, Astrox 88D, and Astrox 99 all 4U in terms of power and speed? Thanks!

      Wilson. The problem with this is that it is my personal opinion. PLayers may have completely different opinions and therefore you need to realise that the only opinion that counts is yours.

      Paul Stewart Advanced Badminton Coach Okay Paul Thanks btw. Actually we have quite similar racket preferences. Many of my rackets I bought after watched and read your reviews, and I felt what you felt and I agree with your opinions 😂 Looking forward for your Auraspeed 90K review, Paul!

    Hi Paul, I recently got an Auraspeed Cai Yun edition but its soooo head light that I cannot generate a decent amout of power for a hard smash. I am now planning to get a Thruster BXR but a little worried that I would not be able to make a hard hit since its a light weight racket. On your opinion, would I be able to generate a stronger smash with BXR compared to Auraspeed Cai Yun and TK-FC?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach
      @TheBadmintonCoach  4 роки тому

      Byron, I think it's important to identify the specs on the racket which allowed you to generate a hard smash. Then lets talk again.

    • @seyji_revive
      @seyji_revive 4 роки тому +1

      What I have in mind is the Thruster BXR, Hypernano x900 and the Jetspeed 11. I watched your reviews about these 3 rackets. Based on your experience, which of these 3 can give you a decent amout of power? I'm still struggling to find the best one for me.

    • @seyji_revive

    I saw this review in 2024 and am trying to buy it in Australia, but it seems like it is discontinued because I cannot find it anywhere. I am a 45 years old, newbie (literally learning to play badminton) and want a lot of support from the racket to generate power, have a bigger sweet spot. @Paul, what do you suggest I should buy which is good for me.

    • @TheBadmintonCoach

      You will struggle to find the racket. Whatever brand you choose, being a newbie, look for mid range, medium flex

    • @TheBadmintonCoach

    How does this compare to the thruster K 9900?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach
      @TheBadmintonCoach  4 роки тому

      BXR is a standard size head, thin frame and moves really fast. 9900 is a very powerful racket that is more akin to ZF2 being a stiff flex, compact head. Very different feel and speed.
