Buckin, you don’t know what excellent timing this video is! I had received my suspenders awhile ago and have been thinking about how to sew my buttons on! I hate to admit it, but it has been since high school the last time I had sewed! Thank you so much, the Buckin 101 sewing school is awesome!! I will never stop watching your videos, so inspirational, knowledgeable, love and kindness being shown! Until next time, Work hard, be kind and be honest! Peace out
Good to see the smile on Daryl face and using his chainsaw.Thank you for the tip on wrapping the thread around the bottom once you have it sewed on . ❤
Buckin been climbing in England for the last 5 years, been studying to do my tree surveyor qualification for the last few months and I've got my test the end of the month, thank you for all your videos which spread help, knowledge and positivity

I haven’t been around big saws until the last year when I bought my 585 with a 32 and 36 inch bar and after running it a few minutes, I decided I like my legs in one piece 🤣😂. Of course, my local Tractor Supply was out of the house brand chaps , so on to Lowes big box store for a pair of Husqvarna chaps. Living in North Carolina, the weather is a bit warm and humid, so I will be sweating a lot, but I will be a bit more protected. Also broke down and got one of the hard hats with the flip down shield and ear pro. I have a ton of them from being a welder but why not one more 🤣😂. I have learned a ton from you and I bought a 562 basically on your recommendation. I missed one that was a new saw that had been sold and promptly blown up so it was completely rebuilt and I could have walked out with it for about $500. The boy who works there went to school with my son and was supposed to put it back for me, but forgot and it got sold before I could get there to buy it. He still gave me a great deal on a brand new one and so far, I’m over the moon with it. Also, my mom was a home economics major in College and I was taught to use a needle and thread at an early age. When I became a paramedic many years ago, I hand stitched the patch on myself. I was proud of both accomplishments. Much love to you Buckin’ and be careful out there and safe travels to you and the Mrs. Thanks for all that you do 🤙🤙🫡
Man I wanted that saw so bad but you what ? the right person won it for a reason . I going shopping for chainsaw pants right now. Thanks and safe travels .
Dental floss makes a good strong thread if you don't need it fancy or for emergency repairs. Keep doing what you're doing, Billy, and I'll keep watching! Best wishes, all.
A button sewing trick or two: Wax your thread with beeswax by pulling it through a block of wax a few times. Helps the thread move, and protects it a bit from grime and water. Stick a wooden matchstick between the button and the thread to create some slack thread as you sew on the button. Once you've done your wraps, slide out the match, and then wrap the thread around itself (on the underside of the button) to create a post. You can wax that too if you like. Will last forever and ever.
Back in 1969 there was a poster put out of the moon landing, and the title was "So What" well, people started saying 'so what' to everything. And we started saying "sew buttons" as the quick retort. And years later the saying 'sew buttons' has more meaning than ever. ✅😂💪⏳
Has anyone here been to the petrified Forest in Arizona? The fossilized trees are fascinating to me seeing how some look like they were cut. Interesting looking at the pictures given the age and being interested in chainsaws.
Awesome Daryl!! Smile says it all!! And ole Buckin sewin buttons in his underwear haha i literally did the same thing yesterday at the table😅😅!! Your a good man brother, prayers for safe travels my friend❤❤
Nova Scotia trip? Toss an extra hat in your bag and ill buy it in person! 😅 Im down the eastern shore in porters lake. I'll show you my husky 141, such a monster saw. Experts only...
Sir, Pleasure to meet you in YVR. Just wanted to say thank you for all your time sharing your knowledge and experiences. Bought a ported 592 with 36” bar for SE BC Fir and Tamarack firewood, thanks to your videos. The guys at Squamish Howe Sound Equipment did an amazing job on the porting and exhaust. Keep safe, and thank you.

I have a pair of chaps, and I've been inconsistent about wearing them. When you're talking about power saw pants, are they different from chaps? I might be in the market for suspenders. God protect you all in Nova Scotia.
Well that was a good technique on sewing but I will just keep using metal buttons, faster cheaper . no as for Levi’s similar pants I am guilty. I should be using chaps and had a few nicks, but but that brand of pants have been nice but over 400 bucks a pair ouch but I guess if you running a business, you can write it up on your taxes
I am begging for a shout out. I am 19 years old, both to be 20 bucking. Billy Ray's. I was the guy that was on your live stream. What are you trying to ask me how old I was?
Prayers for Buckin’s family and all involved in the tree removal process. 🙏♥️♥️

Very different. They are pants
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith Thanks! I didn't know they existed.
Quick question what’s your finishing not? You didn’t show your finishing knot.
Two or three half hitches

Yes, they're expensive, but the question I ask myself is, what is my leg worth? My answer is, a lot more than $400.
