- I made a commercial with my friends just to make one. Worked a little harder on this than I thought I would but thats not a bad thing.

Probably around 5 hours shooting and 5 hrs editing.
I think calling stuff a "masterpiece" too quickly takes away from this word in the end.

@@cinematic_monkey I'm not hating here, but yes, there is neither crazy amounts of time, work or anything else invested here, it's just a mediocre piece lacking anything intoxicating. If it was a real commercial, it would be turned down. But I guess it's a little training project, you gotta train your filmmaking skills. But don't call it 'masterpiece' because it has shots that look 'cinematic'. This is so easy to do these days. Let's raise our standard back to normal.

Vuh, take this with a grain of salt. I'm nowhere nearly as good as you are and ultimately this is your art and it's all subjective. I think a voice over would go a long way. I love this piece though, now I want to make something like this. Thanks for always inspiring us.

If I could offer my advice for you. Try to find ways to incorporate more sound into the clip. Try speed ramping out of the slow motion, into a cut into a faster paced tight shot. For instance, the clip of him running in slow motion on the street should ramp into a tighter focal length of his face straight on, use breathing SFX, keep the shutter speed high (even if shot on 24 fps) to emphasize the quick motion. Lastly, try to add more ambient SFX. Feels kind of empty, good way to avoid this is by removing the music and seeing which parts feel empty.

I have so many points of this that I love, but my favorite is the aspect ration honestly! I think the classic anamorphic/letter box format has its place, but I love seeing content that takes advantage of a seemingly more immersive “IMAX large format” look. Such a huge fan of your work

It's hard for me to except that as "cinematic given the aspect ratio isn't wide screen and the aspect ratio changing numerous times. The edit was great though and the look is pretty good
