Oh just a small kit… you know the Lomos on an A35, just a nice $130k camera package. Love you still Potts
thought the same thing. its all about perspective i guess.
Same thoughts haha where I live, a cámera like that is used only for big budget feature films or the biggest comercials. Nothing else, it's impossible to rent for lower stuff than that since there's only like 2 of them.
yeah thats what i was wondering when he said "low budget"
Don fogget dat 1200d bugger than wharever and 4 other lights.
He's saying low budget in the sense agency isn't forking out a ton on rentals, most of the camera dpt gear is his. If you've watched him for any length of time you know he owns some Illuminas and the 35 so yeah he's making $$ on his day rate and kit but agency is saving money hiring him with all of it.
The amount of useful info you manage to pack into a mere five minutes is insane. Your entire channel is a goldmine for budding cinematographers
Can't summarize this better....I love his videos too and what's funny is that he speak fairly slow but the videos pack such a pinch in less than 10 mins
"small shoot". I brought my alexa 35....
Lovely lighting on the guy!
Cool trick with the 'fake zoom', seen it done before but not on a real project.
Keep these coming please
Your "small" budget ad look a lot bigger than the "big" budget ads I get to work on hahaha. It's cool, it give room to dream! And, in the end, the techniques are the same where we get to shoot on an Arri 35 with anamorphic in a desert across the country or on an URSA with spherical in a field next to our home.
Great video as always!
Felt this comment on a different level lol
Bruh. You just changed the game with that crash zoom with no zoom lens hack lol. Thank you
I really appreciate the effort you make to share your creative process! Thanks! Love it!
such a good inspiring video. doesn't need to be some 40 minute long essay about how these 5 tips will change your videography, but got more from this than plenty of over-the-top videos like that. gave some awesome pointers, thank you for what you make lewis!
Wow, I would love to see the full version! Thanks for the simple yet detailed explanation!
That's awesome! You really gotta appreciate the low budget stuff, sometimes the results and the creativity behind them are superb.
Love the zoom effect, will definitely give it a try! thanks for sharing all the info with us!
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing this. As a junior director working on low budget commercials it’s great to see what can be done with smaller shoots.
Love your work! Also cool because I actually got to work on this one! I did the VFX for the neon sign and the TV screen replacement
Very nice 👍
You did amazing
Dope bro!! How much does one charge to do VFX like this for a shoot in post? And is doing VFX like this hard?
Amazing breakdown!! I love seeing BTS of commercial shoots from you! Extremely resourceful!

Short and simple yet so informative! Keep it up Lewis. Love your content!

Always a delight to watch your videos Lewis! Will look into that massive umbrella for diffusion, looks much easier to travel lightly with than than the Aputure Domes.

Haha this ad looks great. Love the slapping
incredible stuff.
I will use that Crash zoom effect in every video now! Thanks!
The fake zoom ends up looking even better! Like you said, it fits the tone really nicely. It adds a subtle odd quality but you don't really notice why.
In Afrikaans we call them "plakkies". Loving the solid work and loving the videos! Aight, baayee.

Amazing video as usual. This is greatly appreciated.
Love this
Honestly loved this. Great piece of work & really enjoyed the breakdown of how you got the shots and put it all together in post. But am I the only one here that thinks a 60k Arri Camera and all the lighting you could ever want is anything but "low budget & minimal tools".. haha
Thanks! Love it!
