Very inspiring. I’ve made 2 Acoustics now and really like your take on ‘not perfect’. My first build was a present for my dad and I made best I possibly could. The second acoustic was made as a players guitar with most effort put into neck feel and tap tuning top. It’s kinda why I’ve never got on with PRS.
Very very impressive James. I am sure regular viewers like myself are excited to see where this takes you in the years to come. Loved how the Friedman PLEX took off in contrast to the rich JL Sig swampwash. 😊 Plus I think the raffle idea is a great idea giving back to your UA-cam community. Have a great Christmas. 🤘
Awesome content and super cool build! Congratulations! On separate but related note - you always leave me drooling for a Bartel amp! I think they are one of the very few options that rather than having one particular strength manage to successfully blend huge versatility without the sacrifice of tonal quality, regardless of where you set them and what sound you're after.
I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and it’s really interesting to follow the progress of your guitar making. The aesthetic of your instruments is right up my alley. I hope one day I will have the means to order one. The strat looks amazing. Greetings from Norway 🎄
Not to sound critical, but curious as to why you are making guitars with headstock shapes that seem to be dangerously close to a Fender. Either way it looks and sounds amazing!
Thanks! It’ll likely change over time - subtly and gradually to get it right. But it seems it is generally what people want and many small makers stick to the shape, or very close to, i think. If i can design one i love i’ll do it of course 🤘🏼
Good on you James you should have a good idea on what it takes to make a great guitar considering the guitars you’ve had over the years as for the headstock maybe do one with a Tyler shap and see if anyone complains 😂merry xmas
You are asking for trouble with that headstock shape. You can bet Fender will be sending you cease and desist letters once you start selling them. Save yourself a great deal of money and change the design before you market your product. It will save you in the long run. Don’t understand or believe me? Talk to Mike Bowes guitars who recently went through the debacle. Best of luck!
I think that’d take a while! Mike has been selling quite a few for years. But i will be working on a gradual change anyway. I wonder how Nacho Guitars does it - theirs look quite standard?
Let me know what you think about the raffle idea. Have a great christmas 🎅
Congrats on starting Smoke Stack guitars! The raffle idea sounds great!
Mate congrats on the launch of your guitar company! There were some amazing tones also

Thanks! Yeah if you are looking at high end amps, Bartel really cover so much ground and have a special feel!

Very nice, however, we would love to see a original design 👍👏
It’s coming 🙏
