An observation from a Football Manager player who's never liked the newer formats. What I see is that they've added all this depth though with one stroke of a mouse button all said depth is removed and managed by the games AI. I ask, what's the point? It's arcade like. I still play Football Manager 2011. The best by far as it has everything you need. You set the tactics, you set the set pieces, you do it all and it's not overcomplicated. I wish their was another option when it comes to the Football Manager games.
True but a lot of jobs like hiring staff, planning training for that week match etc are done better by yourself. On the other hand I imagine FM retains an older player base who don't have the time to micro manage everything
@@pbh81.. I like taking training and setting the tactics. I like sending the scouts out. I can do all of that in 2011. It's so much better then the new games in that regard. The match day engine is terrible. No fluidity to it at all and the games are arcade like. Twenty shots on target and one goal yet the opposition has one shot and two goals. You get my point.
Yeah its so you don't have to micro manage every little thing if you don't want to. The AI won't do as good a job as an experienced player, but it does a serviceable job for newcomers or people who don't want to min-max every part of their club. You can interact with this depth by ignoring the AI and doing it yourself.
Thank you Sir! COYS!
