Use the stock diff cover. Theres a reason theyre shaped the way they are. Banks has a whole youtube series about it. Most aftermarket ones make the fluid foam up, and dont fling it towards the pinion bearing.
That is the stock cover
Man it sure is cool to still have guys like you explaining allot of stuff we didn’t know before and teach us to be more more knowledgeable about our trucks🤙
I have 3 with cummisn engines 89 drw w350 01 2500 and a 08 6.7 drw 3500. All run great. They are very simple and bullet proof engines to own . The basic engineering that went into the first one in the mid 80s is still used today. Yes they add valves for air flow changed displacement but the basic design of that engine is still used. Great engine. I love my trucks .
Thats really impressive with all the stock emmisions still installed.
Rob K lol ain’t no way in hell that thing still has a dpf on it
@@Zherka-t9b it does cowboy
As long as the system is used properly, they can last. I have 650k on one on a highway truck. It works all the time. Average load is 140k gross. If you pay attention to the regen cycle and dont shut off the truck while it's doing one it wont plug all to hell.
@@jnk26 biggest pyle of a def system ive ever had , mine went at 108k, my ford had one that had 210 on it no issues. def is a pyle of a system on dodges, youve must of got lucky.
@@maseratilife1316 a sensor here or there is normal. Usually a failed system is used error(shutting of the engine at the start of a regen) the biggest issue with these systems is the lack of understanding how they work and when they are working. A friend of mine bought two identical trucks(VIN sequenced) and his had issues at 2500km third trip to the dealer, his brother drives the other and so far no issues. Difference is the wife drives his truck and doesnt pay attention to anything. I feel like he has doen a few things wrong leaves it idling for hours on a job site. I have a 2019 6.7 powerstroke with 42,000km and ZERO issues. Just oil changes and the tailgate recall
I only run 100 percent pure synthetic democrats tears for my blinker fluid!!!!!
Ata boy.
How do I fill my blinker fluid?
I run Manhattan , trust fund, spray tan orange combover, body guarded, Lying, gold toilet, golf course that doesn’t allow work trucks in parking lot, never have driven a truck, January 6 insurrection Republican tears for coolant. Most of the trucks I drive are built by union workers who have good health insurance due to democrats. I didn’t have to inject disinfectant in my veins to avoid Covid so I could drive mine. Nothing to do with my truck involved Saudi Arabia chopping up someone with a bone saw and it didn’t haul the body parts away in suitcases. Their was no Saudi Arabia a/ss kissing involved after such an ordeal. And my son in law didn’t get a loan from said bonesaw killers. My truck never needed the Republican tears from hauling Mike Lindell “MyPillows” from the factory. No Jewish space lasers took aim at my truck. No Q-Anon fluids were needed for the power steering or the transmission!
Never run Chineeze Blinker fluid… your wife will get pregnant.. you’ll have a dam stupid kid… then you’ll name him Sum-Ding-Wong…. Bet my words…
*Libtard tears to be specific

My son’s 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins water pump went out at 90,000 miles. Dealer said there was a recall on that item and replaced, no charge. Insurance paid for towing.
Would love to see a coolant flush video. Also, thoughts on adding coolant filtration?
Just got a 5th gen. Gotta take notes so it lasts this much !
Same lmao
I love seeing this. Mine has 310k. Still going strong, i do hotshot and i want to keep it for a long time
my 2011 6.7 just hit 250k, all my miles! i did get rid of the dpf and its amazing, and it was made before DEF fluid was needed! 6.7 are better than the 5.9s if you ask me.
Think I seen this truck last month on the west coast of Washington! Always have to look at the hot shotters to see if it's your company. My girlfriend was amazed because we were like 4 hours from your base. Probably a delivery to the local mill I was thinking.
My 08 original water pump has 375k right now. So should I be worried?? My in laws originally 04 waterpump has close to 500k still running today.
this was way informative unlike some of your videos that go off on a tangent.
Pertaining to the power steering service, the resivor has a permanent screen built into it.
Love the 4th gen. Having great luck on mine.
servicing goes a long way. I've never been a schaffers man but I've been standing by Castrol and Mobil 1 forever. Castrol ATF and motor oil, Mobil 1 gear oil seems to do me the best. sometimes I'll use m1 when I can't find the specific Castrol I like to use. I've also noticed pads unglue with age, on my dad's truck we just changed them because of the age even if they have half the pad left. better safe than sorry. belts don't seem to really care about age but power steering once a year does it good. suck out the old fluid. fill it up drive a bit and do one more rinse and fill and it's good to go for the next year. little bit overkill but my power steering is 20 years old and running strong and quiet.
Hey man! Love these videos! Don't get rams in the UK but always wanted one! what do you use the trucks for? how do you get to 500,000 miles?:)
It's a big country. ; )
*got an 06 Mega cab with the 5.9 in it and i think i'm going to jot these recommendations down sounds like a pretty well researched plan and if i can get 500K out of mine i'll be happy. i of course am not a hot shot driver i only use mine to tow vehicles from one state to another occasionally, I don't even know mine well enough yet to know if it even has a CCV filter or not. but i have already replaced the entire front end components ball joints, bearings, etc How about a good recommendation for shocks because that's what i need now. and mine being a 5.9 i've been told to watch the P pump and injectors any insight on that? i replace the fuel filter every oil change and every second tank of fuel i add Sea foam to keep my injectors clean and healthy. was also told the turbo woll need replaced at around 200K miles as well right now i am at just over 180,000. i really need this truck to last because as much as i would LOVE a duramax, i want to cut my teeth with Diesel on a proven truck which is why i went with the cummins for my first one. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh and Blinker fluid should be changed out every year when you change out your head light lenses too just to keep everything all fresh there too lo*
Love my 2018 ram 2500 6.7 Cummins only 10k miles, hopefully many more.
Same here got the same truck and it's kicking strong 15k on it with 6k of it towing a 5th wheel 👍
You’ll hate the 2500 transmission. Chrysler is shit. Good luck with it. Had one 60 miles and it went. Until they switch to Allison I’ll stick with my 6.7 ford
Looks like the transmission in this video is the Aisin transmission, and not the Chrysler one.
@@KD-kf4zm 2500s don't have asins. And who makes asin? Sure isn't dodge. Useless junk
@@That90sShow They are a Japanese corporation with ties to Toyota, strangely enough. And yes, it's for 3500's only.
Nice, do you have any issues with front tire wearing uneven?
I finally had that drag link issue. Threw some blue loctite on it and tightened it back up. What is your fix for that? The dealer recall fix is to weld the nuts!
What Brand a oil you use for a transfer case and have a good Day.
How about your turbo, what is the maintenance schedule for it. Also what filters do you run.
Aerosol can of white lithium grease will stop those doors squeaking.
Did you look at the bank power diff cover for your trucks
Great vid!!
Battery & alternator?
Also def sensors or parts ... my light came on recently , just
curious
Hey Paul, how long are your batteries lasting and what brand do you recommend for replacements? I lost a battery after less than 2 years in my 2018.
Right about there. 2-3 years. Winter time is when they show if it's time to go or can go another year. Typically
Thanks. Paul. You put Mopar batteries back in your trucks?
Batteries Plus has some good high quality batteries. I’ve always had good luck with Optimas, however some say the quality has went down.
Get a set of Northstar batteries! They'll last 10-12yrs in very harsh climate and use conditions. They cost more but well worth the reliability.
If you get 4 years you are doing great.
Jesus that's a lot of miles on those pads. I had to do my fronts at 90k and rear was done at 110k but did have lots more left on the rear but less than 50%
Hey Paul - quick question on the 19s. I heard you mention in a video quite some time ago that you had a vibration while driving somewhere around the driver's side floorboard. Did you ever figure that out? I have the same issue. Almost feels like a pump turning on/off.
How about the spark plugs and glow plug fluid? 😎
Every 1k miles. How do you think I keep them running for so long. :) lol
Does the truck had DEF, particulate filter, and exhaust recirculating? I thought those systems destroy Diesel engines?
what do you guys do about fuel does the workers pay for it when they need to fill up on the road? Or is there some kind of gas card you gave them?
That`s awesome
alright so with the perfect or near perfect treatment to these 4th gen cummins, what mileage can they possibly hit without needing major rebuilding?
My f2shity 7.tree has 890 thousand miles all original...still stroking and purrs like a kitten 😸
13 letter shitspreader INTERNATIONAL best diesel ever made
Hell yes! Best engine for longevity.
important question. do you have a "clunk" when shifting between gears PRND? thanks
Do you have problems with The “Death Wobble”?
Do you still have this truck? Im thinking of picking one up
What's the point of the cover on the battery? How often are you changing batteries?
Do you use the Chrysler transmission oil or the Schaeffer's?
2012 is it even worth looking at with 163k miles one owner
How many miles do you have on this truck now?
Paul no offense but why dont you do a Full delete on SOME of these trucks that ARE NOT SUBJECT to Highway inspection???.Just asking, not being an a-hole.
If he can get 515k out of it and it's still running great why would you delete it? I'm just curious
Why break the law? Just curious.
Some states like washington have emissions testing
@@moparjr89 ok
Guys I know. Delete it and leave everything attached to the truck. No issues
Do you use a desel fuel additive ?
Ball joints? front driveshaft double cardan?
I have a spare 2015 Ram and a 32’ PJ gooseneck. What is a fair rate to pay a driver ? A guy to drive only?
I get paid $18.00 per hour PLUS $0.50 per mile....
PRIVATE COMPANY TRIPS
2012 6.7 Cummins laramie
I'd like to see a 3rd gen 5.9 in Your fleet for a longevity test ...... For fucks sake ......
Do you clean the EGR valve?
And the Diesel particulate filter
And the egr cooler?
Thanks
Paul doesn’t do this since he runs Schaefer’s Carbon Clean in his fleet of trucks. Its a diesel fuel additive that cuts down on soot by producing cleaner exhaust gases.
@@kylelangley8818 ok thank you.Have you tried the lucus product? Also how often does he run the cleaner?
U sound stupid
Nothing bugs a truck driver more than pulling to a travel center like loves , flying j, or TA to find a pickup truck in a big truck parking spot;-)... well maybe folks who think it's a KOA and are parked mid yellow line with their tip outs set up .
Original injectors?
Alt and starter what time on them
How often do you grease the front driveshaft?
Once a year. Right before winter
@@pddieselpower perfect!!!
Trucks are like women's sometimes you take care of it and End up leaving you, same with the trucks you do all and still fail,
Nice
radiator is can of worms 'cause it has plastic tanks...with aluminum tabs bent over to secure them... thats why they stoaer leaking...
Exhaust brake = Saved brakes
My truck I do oil changes every 10k
@Mctrician2 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve got 280k on a 2008 6.7
this truck paid for itself along time ago meanwhile I see guys ruin a truck after 50k miles...
Smh you should have got a Ford they last up to 200k miles
He said it has over 500k, dummy! 😂

Don't know how you get to make videos like this all the time. When I try someone alway wants to talk to me. The wife needs something. Dog starts barking. Chickens crowing. FedEx delivery comes here Yada Yada.....
Bla bla bla... hard to keep up
