We owned a Pursue, then upgraded to the Intech Flyer Explore with double tip out. Set up solar, can haul toys, tow it anywhere, store in my 8ft garage door (I live in a townhouse condo). Tow it with our Jeep and minivan. Bring a porta potty. Lots of videos online showing their construction..all aluminum frame. LOVE IT

It was great to see you featuring InTech. We bought our Flyer Pursue in June 2019 and just started our fourth season in it. Ours is outfitted just like the one in your video but a few years older. We love the simplicity - no water lines or tanks to worry about and it fits great in our garage (yes, we have an HOA!). We have no regrets with this trailer and the quality has been fantastic. We were skeptical of the A/C and heat strip but are glad we have it...especially after this past weekend with the extra cold weather in Ohio. Excited to see you review more InTech products!

I bought the Pursue in March of 2021. Put 9,000 miles on it last year. Love it! Anywhere my truck would go, the trailer would follow with no problem, as the suspension is very good. The space at the foot of the mattress is where I put my big RTIC cooler. Adult beverages and water in the RTIC cooler, and food in the electric Dometic cooler. Kayak fished in three states last year pulling this great little trailer.

Speaking to your potential customers, this is a fantastic trailer out of the box, and a perfect platform for customization. With the barn doors it can double as an equipped hauler (Try loading plywood or drywall in a NoBo). Also I’ve been thrilled with Intech’s quality. Can’t overstate how keeping it at home, in the garage, warmed up and ready to go is a game changer.

Just brought home the flyer explore (slightly larger and taller. A 5' 6" person can stand in it) a couple weeks ago. We love it! The new OVS 270 awning is awesome and the queen fold out bed is simple and quick to deploy. Perfect for adventure and taking the place of a regular pop up trailer. For water, we just took a Kobalt garage cabinet, set a sink in it with a 12v pump and two 5 gallon water jugs underneath for fresh and gray water. Roll it out by the kitchen and good to go!

I shared this video with my son. he just got a jeep Cherokee trailhawk so we have to make sure it can tow it, but if he gets it, he said he would want the straight awning and would add a bike rack, either to the hitch or on top and then get a screened in tent for the back. Hopefully the screen is an option so it has better fit. when he goes camping it is just him and his dog, and only takes weekend trips, so this is perfect for him. thanks, Josh, for the truthful insight and the laughs

Nice little bed in a box. Can Am spyders can only tow around 500 pounds if my memory is working correctly. Other trykes with the rear axle as 2 wheels may be able to tow more, the homemade 3 wheel motorcycles could be much more heavy duty. It would be awesome to be able to tow something this nice behind you and have a nice bed at night instead of a tent and hard ground. There is always a rock you missed that is right under your back. Nice video Josh be safe. The mountains in the backdrop are pretty sweet.

Removing the fridge and bringing it inside to load or unload food is very handy. You can plug it and get it down to temp in your temperature controlled home instead of say leaving it outside and wasting a lot of energy getting it down to temp in a 90 degree day. I do this with my NoBo 10.6's fridge. Plus, I can also run it for 3+ days off a 700wh bluetti EB70 solar generator without solar panels, just straight running off its battery.
The biggest limiting factor for this is the AC. You still need a beefy (and heavy) generator or be tethered to places that offer 30amp service. The AC is also completely overkill for that small of space. I'd much rather see a small 15amp residential style window AC than an RV rooftop AC. Sure it takes up storage space, but without a big rooftop AC, you gain a lot of versatility with rooftop storage and accessories.

Alright Josh I have a 2020 chase I bought in Nov of 19. I get stopped all the time and asked about it. Love the thing. A few design flaws but easy enough to fix. They didn’t offer the fantastic fan at the time which it needs bad. My biggest problem that InTech has ignored. The rear doors will open as you go down the road. Today I’m drilling holes for eyebolts and then a clevis pin to keep them shut. Even with that I’m still in love with the thing. The tent that connects to the rear if it rains water will get in if you do not put nose down even with that wheels have to put up on blocks to get nose low enough to get water off. After 2 years there’s no way in hell I would sell it 😂. I live in a momentum and camp in my chase. Easily pulled with a Tacoma

We started our camping adventure in a "Little Guy" Teardrop. We loved it! Not a site anywhere it wouldn't fit in, this reminds me so much of that, even the color is the same. I would definitely recommend the optional tent for the rear. We had one that attached to the side door. Great extra space to give a couple room to spread out and not kill each other. I would prefer a griddle in place of the little camp stove and maybe an outside mount for some entertainment.

I'm pretty sure these can, in fact, be pulled by the large Harley touring trikes. My uncle and aunt were looking at a fiberglass one of these without the camp kitchen or forward storage area for their cross country rides until they were killed by a drunk driver in July 2019.
Back to the sleeper unit - I do wish these had just a bit more headroom on the inside though so I could still sit up even if I use a proper full or camp queen instead of the split thin camp mats. This would be perfect for couples camping with a Jeep - for those who need a/c, a proper mattress, and a locking door for more "private" moments...

I really love it!!!! I thought for my 1 ton truck, I would have to put a truck camper on it so that I wouldn’t have to pull my 5th wheel that I would be living in full time. With that camper and the attached tent that I already have, this would be a more economical way to visit family and not have to sleep on the couch or kick a grandkid out of their bed. Not too sure what a heat strip does to keep it warm when camping in the snow. Let me know. But with a rack on the end, a potable generator and portapotty, would take care of you. Plus, I could pull it with my SUV.

The large 270 awning would be a nice option and the total package. I'd dump the mattress and go with a self inflatable pad and good canvas sleeping bag and some type of chair - Bean bag type not a bad idea or short folding. Really like the cook area also. and perhaps a lower legged foldable table. that 11,000 btu? Well if that doesn't keep you cool, nothing will. Pretty awesome.

Josh: Well this certainly takes the idea of a bed and a head and a mess in a different direction. It’s done differently but I like it a lot more than many of the 40+ fifth wheels you review. I noticed that in the storage box there seemed to be a hose and connector for a 20# propane tank with enough room to also include a 6 gallon blue square water tote. Add a freestanding cassette toilet in the back, the larger front awning and the rear tent option and this definitely meets the requirements for a bed and a head and a mess RV. And bonus NO TV. Wife and I, at our age, would not be in the demographic that this trailer speaks to but sure wish we’d had this as a possibility during all the years we pulled popups or set up tents. I like it. 👍👌👍👌 Any idea if it will make it to the Coldwater inventory? Respectfully, W.S.

ones this size are closer to my budget level lol, so many cool little trailers i would have a hard time choosing again.... so much give and take with ones this size, such as this one has no place for a tv to hang really, nor water storage of any kind.... nothing says you cant bring some 5 gallon containers with you, and a 12v plug in shower head (which i do have one of), huge plus on this one is those back doors... dual use trailer... it can be JUST a cargo trailer if you need one for something, turn around and go camping in it that night, and toy hauler of sorts as you mentioned, quite a few various toys can fit, some 4 wheelers, some of your smaller motorcycles, or 10 bicycles lol, a jetski, etc. .. people like me who can only afford small trailers most likely will only have small toys anyway... so perfect fit there. ... you could even put this trailer with a toy of some kind inside your huge 5th wheel toy hauler along with a short jeep, get to main camp spot, then pull out this and jeep and go drive down the trail to secondary further in camp spot, or take the jetski down closer to the lake (such as lake mead now, camp sights are like 4 miles from the lake, when the lake used to be right there at the edge of the sites) ... a small toy hauler in a larger toy hauler is totally something i would do lol. these little trailers are so cool and versatile, cant wait to see more floor plans of this manufacturer... i saw one from another that was absolutely awsome, but many people would HATE it.. really tight in there... tv, fireplace, microwave i think too, and a full wetbath, along with a single place to sit, and the bed... with ability to use left half like cargo hauler as well... all INSIDE one this size. totally a one person only unit.. barely room to move around in there. all of these with rear cargo doors are cool, much prefer that too the rear kitchen, the slide out kitchen is placed where i would rather use it anyway, on my camp side, not off the back. also prefer ones with only one side door, i do not like a door on both sides for some reason.. better floor plans with only the camp side door.. this is a great one, and anything "missing" is easily tossed in the back and taken with you anyway..... that is the point of these models, give you the basics... if you want anything else, bring your own... and many would prefer that... why pay for yet another tv and another generator when you already have 1 or 2 of each sitting around, some may be hunters and can not take a shower, it will wash deer piss scent off them, so why pay for one? i expect to be seeing more of these smaller types as time goes on, especially with gas prices hauling around monster trailers.

I think it would make more sense to flip the camp kitchen to face the rear rather than the front, and then switch which side the entry door hinges on, for easy “pop out to grab a drink from the cooler and flip the burgers on the grill” access from inside or while hanging out under the awning. Don’t make me walk around into the rain to cook, you know?

If you could get InTech to provide a wall cross-section, you'd likely get a lot of buyers off the fence on their units. There is next to nothing on the insulation & anyone who camps in a trailer in very hot or cold weather is concerned about R-value and how layers are sandwiched in the walls, floors & ceilings of their box.

OH.. hey Josh, lol... i just got a great idea for this kind of trailer!!!!. i mentioned some of others i have seen, including a wet bath stuffed in one.... ok well here is my idea.... we have see many versions that have an outside shower.. tent optional.... we have seen people carry compost and cassette toilets around somewhere inside if they have one usually, but that takes up some interior space.... that you can not really use for anything else above it or otherwise... just as a kinda box seat when not being sat on for use...(or hang clean clothes above stink seat have seen.. EWWW).. ... lol... well..... the outside kitchen... how it comes out on that nice and strong slide out...but the interior space taken up is not that bad since you can utilize all around it..... well... put the cassette toilet on the same kind of slide, maybe on the other side of the unit where shower often is.... just go around that side, open compartment, slide out toilet and have a seat.... your outdoor shower is right there for any um residue or whatnot lol... it is locked outside, wont stink up inside, and space above it can be used inside same as on kitchen slide box. and right next to the shower where toilets normally are... so shower is outside, put toilet outside... dont have to worry about banging elbows on walls, prime pooping position without fail every time... no need to dig toilet out of a cabinet or move anything inside at all.. just ... grrr a screamer coming... run outside open compartment, slide it out... enjoy nature as you attract flies... water right there next to you already like a normal bathroom... basically would be a normal bathroom at that point, just no walls. same as the kitchen is a normal kitchen with no walls..... you can put any commissions from my ideas in the tremjar's rv fund.... if let it be a prototype of my own design, within some level of reason, obviously things i would want may not work for some reason, find out by poking around at the design hehe... when done with trying to market it, take to shows as always etc... it belongs to me.. if there will not be a production version.. if there is a production version... first one off the line... + very minor commission if it becomes a bigger seller... am not greedy, i would probably be working on something between this size and those embers roughly... nothing extravagant, just novel ideas, such as outside bathroom totally as mentioned (may legally have to include a tent to surround that in some states).... a full height trailer you can stand in, that still has a 2 foot pop up tent type roof that you use IF you want to, for more windows and air flow, go from 2 or 3 windows or one even...... to having 4 5 or 6 more windows that ALL open just pop up, typical tent canvas as in shorter ones, when nice out, close it up when weather gets bad, canvas walls disappear, all those windows disappear, sealed up tight, ok so it is snowing so what..... now 4 seasons ish. that kind of roof would be ok on the smaller ones too, instead of a rooftop tent as many have also... but again have seen it before on small ones what i have not seen is that kind of pop up roof on a full normal height rv.... raise it dont raise it no matter... but if you do, now 8 foot head room rather than 6,.... 6 more windows, outside enviroment feel, and could even have a bunk up there that can ONLY be used with roof raised, otherwise it does not exist. a 2 story camper that does not ever have to be 2 story if you dont want it to be, and do your thing just fine..... can go ahead and start tremjars rv fund in a bish's account, everytime a manufacturer such as jayco or such reads one of my posts, they have to contribute to the rv fund a little bit... if they use the idea they have to contribute more lol... and yes i would be willing to build all my own ideas in to my rv... i would not think of it if i didnt think i would like it for some reason or another... do i LIKE an outside toilet crapping in front of horse flies licking their lips... no.... but better that then sitting their stinking up a tiny box for the rest of the day, outside compartment vented outside like other things, no stink in your box. if i am in a trailer this size, i am going to be crapping in front of horse flies anyway regardless.... why not have a slide out toilet next to your already outside shower as easy to use as slide out grill? one side of trailer for food in, other side for food out. ok so your neighbors may be upset if you dont put up the tent since their camp side is looking at your business side.... and are probably only used to seeing a black tank emptied, not filled.... but.. it would work great regardless... first thought is WTF??? but think about it... why not? far better solution than fighting a portable thing inside, and far easier to empty when time comes as well.......i think i offically watch way too many of these videos..... am sitting here building floorplans of my own in my head, specific to what i would like as a single person who may have animal for the most part, with room for a um shall we say female guest i might get to know that you do not connect to propane.... anytime i see something about anything causes a chain reaction, oh and this... oh and i saw that over in this one, that be good here... good god lol.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 роки тому
