You can find airlines and flight numbers for specific routes by searching them up on Google Flights. Plug in a route, select a flight and click on the down arrow to show more data.
www.google.com/travel/flights
Aircraft Tail Codes you can find on Airfleets, search for an airline and see which aircraft they have in service, both current and historic.

how. it tells me time and which plane but none of the information I need
What I noticed from wathcing your videos is that you are very smart and knowledgeable with this stuff. I don't know how long it took you to get to this point, but I'm amazed with every video.
I've been playing around with different flight simulators since 2005, so I've slowly grown up with it. I'm far from being an expert nonetheless!
The OFP produced looks very accurate. It uses LIDO - Lufthansa Integerated Dispatch Office. Which is used by many airlines including Qatar Airways and Etihad. I worked for Lufthans for twenty years and have handled the OFP everyday in my life. Brings back memories.
Thank you for this, I have not been playing Flight Sims too long and wondered how I used SimBrief to create flight plans and here you are with a tutorial. Thanks man!
Anyone else thinks his voice is so soothing lol
Yes hes a sexy beast
And I for one can not understand a word he says what with his voice zipping and doodling up and down. He sounds like an orphaned street urchin.
yep, but the outro music scared the s#!t out of me XD
Thank you very much for your tutorials, I really needed that. It changed my experience in a whole another level in MS2020
The music at the end almost blew my eardrums apart.
Great vid though, i love your tutorials
Thanks for all your tutorials, I was finally able to achieve my dream of doing a livestream of a long-haul flight in MSFS (on the 787), these helped out a lot
Nice one, happy flying! ✈️
i didnt know how to use simbreff now i do thank you
tysm im using simbreif for the 737 and this will help alot
Do you have a video of how to read the flight plan and insert the data on tue A320? Thanks!
Yes I do!
ua-cam.com/video/v_tBRzN649Y/v-deo.html
Your videos are very clear and easy to understand excellent tutorial.
This is game changing for a newbie like me because I never know how to manage AIRAC cycles device because this is my first sim lol
Very helpful video i just finished watching your recent stream :)
I corrected your on the whole EASA and CAA thing after you landed XD... but again great video im probably going to watch your aircraft tutorials now as i only know the 737 off by heart
Thank you. Any chance you can demonstrate how to take a route and plug it into the FMC of a G1000 (Flight Plan and Approach)?
Amazed by what you do. Thank you!
Hi good tutorial, just a few questions. How do I know what Airline and Flight No. to choose or do I choose a random one. Also what do I choose for Registration and ATC Call Sign. Thanks.
You can use Google Flights to search for flight numbers and routes.
www.google.com/flights
Airfleets is used to find registrations of all aircraft owned by a particular airline.
www.airfleets.net/home/
@@Drawyah ok Thanks I'll take a look
@@Drawyah I've just had that bug in the A320 where you can't click anything with the mouse, is there any way to avoid that, it ruins your flight? Also does it happen in the 747-800 too, or just the Airbus? Thanks
@@Drawyah And the ATC call sign?
@@v1deonasty68 Just change size of VRF map window or ATC window.
Have you tried using SimToolKitPro? It combines multiple things like Simbrief, live maps, logbooks, approaches, wind calculations, etc. into a single free app.
I just stumbled accross it yesterday.
You're a legend!
Great tutorial. Been waiting for this for a while, so thank you very much. And definitely bookmarling this, and your other tutorials. Just one question. Where is a good place to find things like airline abbreviations, reg numbers, and flight numbers?
Wikipedia has it all - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airline_codes
@@Drawyah Thanks Drawyah, I shall bookmark this as well.
hi there , where are the videos on the FMC setup for the 787?
hey Drawyah I Have Watched all of your tutorials would you consider doing an Tutorial On How To Speak To Atc On IVAO Thanks.
Thanks so much :)
Glad it helped!
Got a few qs how do I get the weather radar inside of the cockpit and also y can’t I use any of the overhead buttons thanks and love the channel good job 👍
Great tutorial on using Simbrief. The only question I have is the about first 2 steps. Air line info and flight number. I guess if I fly BA then BA is the airline - but if your flight is a real one have you looked the info up - where do you go to get this info? From a google search I see there are a few sites to choose from. Cheers
Try flightradar there you can see real flights and all it's information
Google Flights is another good source of flight numbers. Stick in a departure and arrival, it then does the rest!
www.google.com/flights
Hey, what does "dct" mean? and how should i use it.
That means 'direct'. There is no airway, you just add the next waypoint.
thanks for the vid! where would it state which SID and STAR to use? thanks
Second page, it will show your SID and STAR immediate after/before you departure and arrival runways.
Wdym whats the meaning behind the AY for the airline info
On this occasion AY is the IATA code for Finnair which was originally known as Aero O/Y when it first formed. Depending on the airline you fly you use their IATA code.
Fantastic! Thanks
@drawyah where did you get the information to enter this? such as your flight number and all that you just randomized it?
Flight numbers and tailcodes you can find quite easily with a simple Google search.
excuse me, but to use correctly simbrief you MUSTR PAY for navigraph?
No, you can use an older AIRAC cycle which is just as good as the current. Very few waypoints change per cycle.
Could you give the link for the calculator thing from David Katina?
It no longer exists. I've pinned an alternative to the top of the comments of the A320 tutorial.
When ever I make a simbrief plane my route box only shows airways and doesn’t include waypoints, but on the map where I can look at the route it shows waypoints? Somebody help
Is there something where u can download it and put it into the fms like x plane 11
Hi I can't find the folder under /AppData/Local/, is there another way I can create it or it can be placed somewhere else?
I'm not quite sure what you're doing to simBrief in order to end up in your Application Data folders.
Is the flight number important? I'm not sure which values are important to be accurate and which are just for fun.
It's not the most important part of the plan, the routing is. Number is just done for realism.
@@Drawyah okay thanks and thank you for taking the time to answer! I feel dumb for asking now, but at least now others can read this and not have to feel the same way.
are you currently doing your flight training or anything like that?
Thanks @Drawyah you are really helping and your videos and not long. I have a small problem.. when I tried to get the information you typed in the " advanced aircraft option " window from the " airfleets.net " site i couldn't find the information you typed.. could you help us with a video about that site.
Advanced aircraft option? Just search for the airline on Airfleets and select the aircraft in question.
@Drawyah one question: if an airport is not listed in simbrief is this an navigraph or simbrief issue? i am missing the Driftwood Bay Air Force Station (ICAO: PAAM, FAA LID: AK23)
Not sure if all air force stations will be included in simBrief which uses public databases over military ones.
@@Drawyah hm, we uses this Airport in FSEconomy! What to do now, that this AP will be included?
msfs2020 (in the title) is flight simulator 2020, i think, so how do you import the plan in flight simulator... 2020...
But creating an account requires a Navigraph account, which requires active subscription, is it correct? So this is essentially a paid app, might be worth noting in the video.
simBrief is free. It now requires a Navigraph account (that changed quite recently when Navigraph bought it) but you do not need a subscription to access simBrief. It's still free to access.
Do anyone know when the liveries is hinna come out for all aircraft?
ua-cam.com/video/IJK3rO9BHMU/v-deo.html for A320 liveries
A320neo's ICAO Type code is A20N not A320. That's old 200 model
This was recorded before the A320neo was an option on simBrief. It was added a couple of months later.
Fantastic video thanks. How can I find out what the active runways are? I notice using simbrief that I land on a runway and everyone else seems to be landing on a different one. New to flying btw, thanks
When first loading it up just use the runways that Simbrief gives you. The ATC ingame will give you the proper runways, the departure one will most likely be correct, but your arrival might change due to change in weather. :) As for the ATC, it's quite rubbish tbh. What I do is to just use the "Taxi to runway for south/north/east/west departure", and then contact the tower for landing when available.
Oh, small tip: When ATC give you runway 27R, it means that you'll have heading 270 and it's the right one of the runways, at that heading (When airport is directely in front of you). The opposite runway would be 09L (Heading 90, then Left runway). Good to know when the AP decide to act up :)
1:15 where do you get the flight-No. From?
You can find flight numbers on Google Flights,.
www.google.com/flights
@@Drawyah thank you, and great tutorial!
But I still have another issue...
When I plug in the first way point (BPK) it doesn't show it under "to"
Do you know why it does that?
Oops.. sorry this was meant for the A320 Startup tutorial video
Hi, how do you fond the advanced aircraft options? registration and atc callsign? thank you
That is in the aircraft selection menu under ATC.
Drawyah, where do i find my ZFWCG?
I'm looking for this for so long and i've no clue how to get that.
Do i have to calculate this number via the ZFW?
Hope you can give me some tips.
Best regards from Germany :)
Easy to follow tutorial. Thanks!
MSFS’s live weather doesn’t match real weather. Also there isn’t historical weather data in MSFS. How do you solve that?
How do you get the information from simbrief to the simulator
I've done a series of three tutorials on the A320, 747 and 787 where I use this flightlan to setup a flight.
Drawyah thanks, I watched them and I was wrong. I was just confused as I thought you downloaded the plan to the sim but you actually just copy the waypoints ETC, the videos where very good and when mine finally downloads, I’ll maybe catch you on a live stream, thanks for replying
@@jamesshaw7171 so there is no "download" function in MSFS2020 for this? u cant load any .plt files into the Airbus Computer when flying???
How do you put in and save a company flight plan to load, so I don't have to do this everytime if I have a favourite route
You can't at this stage.
How did you know that Registration & ARC Callsign codes ?
Airfleets is good for registration codes, callsigns are just the airline ICAO code (found on Wikipedia) plus the flight number.
www.airfleets.net/home/
@@Drawyah thank you 😊
How do I know which one is an "Airway" vs a "Waypoint?" That still confuses me lol! Thank you for these wonderful videos!
Airways are five characters long and only consist of letters. Airports you overfly are IATA three letter codes no numbers while airways are a mix of three numbers and letters.
I had made a flight plan with longitude and latitude as my way points. A friend and I decided to make a plan to fly over some golf courses in are area to see how they look. When I import the flight plan , it’s adding a waypoint connecting the two airports along with the route. We planned out .. has anyone else noticed that ?
Is there an aircraft profile for the A320 neo? I'm using my preset from XP11 A320-200 for now.
Use the A320 for now, I'm sure we'll see an update for the neo at some point soon.
Very nice. Able to do Seattle to San Francisco?
How do you get a sid and star on simbrief everytime i generate i dont get a sid
Hi thanks for the great video's! Do you know if it's possible to import a navigraph flightplan into the A320 FBW MCDU ?
Navigraph no, simBrief yes. On the FlyPad tablet you can input your simBrief username into the 'Company' page where you can then import and link your MCDU to simBrief.
One thing i don't understand is the barometric pressure, how can i know or find the numbers i need?
So usually listed under, Hpa (or) Inches/Hg. Usually we use Hector Pascals and the value for each region and airport is listed as QNH/ALTIMETER or directly as the values itself. Found in airport charts or the ATC (ATIS) will provide the same when they give you a sqwak during clearance delivery.
Any suggestions on what to use for the Citation Longitude as it isnt included in aircraft list?
Potentially a CRJ or ERJ, similar types of aircraft with similar fuelburn.
no charts at simbrief ?
I wish the game added airport layouts. Trying to find layouts of airports is a pain as finding it hard to find the correct taxi ways
Airport layouts are the same as real life, ground maps are available on a variety of chart sources.
@@Drawyah been finding it hard to find lay outs slowly getting there. is there one site that has it all?
where did you get the airline code and the registration code, did you made it up?
Google Flights and Airfleets.
www.google.com/flights
www.airfleets.net/home/
@@Drawyah is it important to put the right code or can i make it up
Using correct codes certainly helps with realism.
Really appreciate the work. But I think this tutorial would be more usefull, if it would contain some informations about where to take all the informations to put in.
I did three tutorials alongside this for the A320, 787 and 747 where I do just that using this very plan!
@@Drawyah Maybe I was not that clear. I meant the data to put into simbrief to generate the flightplan, not what to put into the FMC. I figured it out through the comment section tho. I'm also aware of the airplane specific tuts you made, and they are really helpful. Good stuff!
How do you get SIDS , And Stars in your FLPN
simBrief will automatically generate them and insert to your routing.
Thank you for the video! There's a FS2020 file option now in simbrief, but loading the plan puts me on a runway ready to go. If I want to change the starting point in the MS flight planner to a gate (cold and dark) then the flight planner completely changes my route. Any insight appreciated :)
When you upload the flight plan, there is option called departure on top, you can change your position in airport to spawn to certain gate you like.
@@Krahamus Yes, that's what I said. But when I change the departure position in FS from the runway to a gate, the entire route changes.
Your voice is cute 😊😊😊
where do you get the airline and flight-no from?
Google Flights provide you with flight numbers and airlines.
@@Drawyah at the moment you can not make a flight plan on google because of covid?
@@giovannipatteet4503 You don't have to book a flight, airlines are still operating...
where did you explain how to import on MSFS2020 ?
I think you have to plug in the waypoints manually, at least thats what all the youtubers have been doing since the alpha version
There is no Company Route support yet, that'll come down to simBrief adding the format. You can however skip the waypoint setup and use the simulator menu to plan flight legs.
They have added it to the "Download FMS" options now
@@AaronStatic so how da heck can i load any plans from simbrief etc into my A320, when sitting in it???
@@ironblader you can't. have to load flightplans from the world map screen pre-flight only at this stage
I'm not a pilot so I would have trouble with filling in the flight-no, callsign etc cause how am I supposed to know these? Put in some random letters?
You don't need to be a pilot to look up flight numbers on Google.
@@Drawyah but flight numbers and registrations are airplane specific aren't they?
Registrations are aircraft specific, you can find them all on Airfleets.
www.airfleets.net/home/
Flight numbers are route-specific, search a route on Google Flights and you'll find them.
www.google.com/travel/flights
@@Drawyah Oh thanks, that already cleared it up I think :)
Can i just ask what the difference is between this and the ingame route planner...
The in-game route planner automatically adds your route to the FMS meaning you can skip that step. simBrief lets you manually plug in a route, allowing for a more authentic experience.
@@Drawyah thanks for the reply, yea I understand that but doesn't the sim require you to select a departure and an arrival. Or does it have the option of being able to have an empty FMS. Also please could you do an ILS approach and set up
Do u know any other free flight planner apps
There's always SkyVector, but simBrief is by far the best.
Hi, does somebody have the link for the next video he was talking about at the end here? :-)
Hello Drawyah! Where can I find my Aircraft registration number?
www.airfleets.net/
Where do you find flex temp on the flight plan? I seen you set it in the tutorial but can't find it. Same as SIDS and STARS
If you watch my A320 tutorial, I get my FlexTemp from this website here - wabpro.cz/A320/
@@Drawyah And the SIDS and STARS
SIDS and STARS are automatically generated by simBrief. If your departure/arrival had them, they will be the second and penultimate node on the flightplan.
@@Drawyah Sir. I appreciate all the help and answering my questions. Thank you!
Never a problem. :)
Second. My sim is still downloading 😭😭😭
Been waiting on the download since 0700 ET, it's currently 1250 ET and I'm barely over 60%. Gaaaaaaahhhhhhh.
Do you have high speed internet, and are the wireless bars full? Mine finished in 2 1/2 hours.
Joseph Salim yep, gigabit fiber, wired connection. 🤷🏼♂️
when i go to load the flight plan, its a .pln and it will only look for .flt ??? whats up?
You've downloaded the older FSX flightplan format. There is a new one for MSFS.
Atc never follow my flight plan my alt is set at FL350 but they never climb me anymore when i get to like 15000
I avoid using default ATC for this reason.
is the airac update for simbrief free? I've noticed that it said outdated in the video.
@Hanzhi Liu Much appreciated.
Unfortunately no
Can u download the route for msfs2020
No, not yet. Potentially coming soon.
@@Drawyah they actually added it now lol
but dont know how to import that into the sim
@@antong.5642 just do it by hand right? I did that all the time. And save your flightplan in your fmc
@@antong.5642 just go to load/save and load it
@@AaronStatic well, thanks
if its easy jet what would it be
I don't understand the question?
@@Drawyah technically what would easyjet be called short for so if for instance if it’s ryanair it would be RYR so if it was easy jet would it be EZY
what is the download files for??
Different aircraft company route systems and online network prefiles.
How do you find out Flight info?
You can use Google Flights to check flight numbers and aircraft type.
www.google.com/flights
how do i find the flight number
Google any flight, it will give you a list of flight numbers.
Hey drawyah, I was wondering is this free or not??
Yes, simBrief is free to use. You just now need a Navigraph account to use it.
Omg, I work in Ryanair Flight planning and use LIDO on daily basis and 🤣thats mad
It's good, isn't it? simBrief have managed to create an almost 1 to 1 replica of the entire document, all with just a few variables to post everything!
@@Drawyah Yeah its decent for you guys 🤣, I have to put up with all the technical problems and stuff. Madness. It's quite a decent system to use, But mad when we have like 2500+ flights on daily basis 🤣
How do you SAVE the flight plan to FS2020?
I don't think you can just yet.
They have added it to the "Download FMS" options now
@@AaronStatic Yeah? Im not seeing it. Whats it listed as?
@@xVAULTxDWELLERx "FS 2020"
@@AaronStatic cool. Thanks for the heads up.
How to import to MSFS2020
You can export as an .fpl file and load it into the simulator using the Load option, or plug nodes in manually in to the aircraft FMS.
How do i get a fin number
Fin number doesn't matter, it has no effect on the aircraft. It's a unique identifier given to the aircraft during construction.
@@Drawyah i just finished a successful flight from heathrow to dublin this tutorial helped me on my first flight :)
for fin number i just left that blank
you have an outdated nav data
This video was recorded several months ago.
hey
Hi!
Am still not familar with simbreif
What's confusing you?
Not explained very well need more detail into where you get flight number etc etc
Flight numbers are very easy to find. Just seatch a route in Google Flights and it will show you the flight numbers.
www.google.com/flights
Is it just me or is this out of focus?
Out of focus? It's a direct recording of my screen! 😅
Heya, when i use Simbrief flight plan on the Aerosoft CRJ, many of the waypoints turn out as "not found" or "not in database", is that because the Airac is outdated, dont have a subscription with Navigraf??
Correct, simBrief is outdated without a Navigraph subscription.
Where can you find the STARS and SIDS?
SIDS and STARS are the second and penultiamte node, after and before the departing and arriving runway. If you don't have one, it will show as 'DCT; or Direct.
@@Drawyah thanks soo much!!
