You can actually see the compatible chargers if you're using apple carplay or android Auto. Go to Google map settings and enable NACS chargers. And now ACP and AA can accurately predict your Arrival state of charge. I wouldn't recommend using the native maps, it hasn't been updated for awhile, use your Ford pass app instead, it's got all the new added chargers. I own a Lightning, I primarily use AA and my Ford pass app. I hope this helps.
Low quality people? Years ago(2018) i bought a Tesla and stopping at Superchargers was an eye opener with the amount of trash that the ‘high quality’ people left behind made me think Tesla owners are not the best, if anything POS ‘rich’ people!
Lost me in the first minute. The on board map you can get directions to an available charger, tesla or otherwise. If you are navigating on a trip it adds chargers as projection is needed. Also you can use the chargers app to charge, or if it is FordPass capable just plug and charge.
Yes, it is an app you can download on your car, it will show you directions to the nearest charging station available - Tesla or Electricity or other. And you can also use this app to plug and charge directly from your car. It will automatically charge your credit card and no smart phone needed. The downside of this app is it only showed you nearby chargers and you cannot search while driving, even if you have a passenger who can navigate. So to use it you need to stop on the side of a road to find out where is your next charging station is
Even if you have the Electrify America app on your smartphone, with a linked credit card, you will have to pre-load money, $60 or so at the time. The app cannot charge your credit card directly on an as-needed basis. Only the Tesla app can do that... You could also pay with your credit card directly at the Electrify America terminal, but this one is always hit-and-miss:) Sometimes, it cannot read certain credit cards, and it takes 3-5 attempts to connect/pay before you start charging.
As a long time EV and Tesla owner, I always leave charging spots available for other EVs with special charging needs like towing or non Teslas. It only takes a little thought and consideration, but new owners seem to be incapable of such thinking skills.

SO in your video when you are talking about nowhere to go to the bathroom or any infrastructure around you literally flying a drone panoramic shooing infrastructure around and places to go to the bathroom.
Yes, it is a Tesla charger and Tesla is doing a better job now locating chargers and providing bathrooms. Electricity America and other brands are typically in the middle of nowhere…

Hah! And what would be my story about then?! Just kidding. :) I bought this car 3 1/2 years ago during the pandemic. At that time, there was a 3-month wait period on any Tesla, so I had to go with what was available...
Super happy I got a Tesla, the super chargers are super easy and does not give a drop of stress
Oh, yes! You are super lucky to get a Tesla! Or super smart:) Happy for you!

Thank you for the tip - I will definitely check this out next few days!
The problem with more people owning teslas is the quality of the owners has gone down. More low quality people means the use of the R word is normal.

At the Electrify America station, why didn't you use their app to charge?

You need a software update or setting change. I've seen plenty of videos where they had no issues
You might be right, but Ford is not offering me any updates at the moment. And all videos I’ve seen operate from the smart phone and not from the car.

Make sure you also have a valid pay method. I have charged at plenty of Tesla chargers with no problems via plug and charge and through the Tesla app

Just get a Tesla and be done with it...
