Great video. Thanks for sharing. This model SARX053 is part of the Seiko Presage Prestige line up and is different to the Seiko Presage SPB069. The roman numerals are printed. The SPB069 has a different hour hand, gold crescent moon seconds hand and also a gold crescent moon on the back which celebrates the moon and the night sky. This JDM SARX053 does not. This SARX053 style watch, with the same case type, roman numerals and dial and hands layout started in 2016 with the Seiko SARX029 which I own and has a beautiful Usushi gloss black dial with 3 maki-e gold hands, gold railroad tracks, gold border around the date window, gold thread on the Alligator/leather strap and gold automatic writing in joined lower case letter which in my opinion looks much better than the block letters on this dial and current presage models. You also mentioned about the crown having a gap the SARX029 does not have this gap or onion style crown. Take a look at this in person and you will be blown away as the gold with black gloss dial looks amazing in my opinion. If you look closely on the enamel dials you can see texturing which the Urushi dials do not have. Seiko in 2016 first made the Urushi Laquer dials, 2017 the Enamel dials, 2018 Shippo Enamel, Urushi and enamel dials, 2019 Arita Porcelain and enamel dials and 2020 Urushi, Arita porcelain and enamel dials all with the same case and Roman or Arabic numerals. Some of the newer Seiko Presage Prestige watches are now using the 6R35 movement. The SARX029 Urushi was marketed as 'Laquer so strong it protected the Samurai.' I like to think of the 2016 crescent moon from this watch as a nod to the Samurai Date Masamune who used a gold up turned crescent moon on his helmet to tie in with the urushi laquer dial. 😊 Please review the SARX029. Thanks
One of the most attractive seiko's but i still don't understand why they don't produce a 4hz movement ,imagine a 9015 ticking away behind that dial...far more appealing .
@@MPD90 Orients parent company is Epson. Epsons parent company is Seiko Group. Seiko Watch Corporation parent company is Seiko Holding. Seiko Holding parent company is Seiko Group. So, both Orient watches and Seiko watches are owned though different subsidiaries but by the same final parent company the Seiko Group, which is why I made my initial comment that Seiko owns Orient, or more correctly I should have said that the Seiko Group owns both Orient Watches and Seiko watches through different subsidiaries! 😊👍
@@MPD90 You suspect correctly I have no experience in corporate structuring, i work in risk, banking. Seems you are correct. I just had a look at Orient USA's website to confirm what you said is correct and this is what they say..."Does Seiko own Orient? What's their relationship? The Orient Watch brand is wholly owned and operated by Seiko Epson Corporation which is one of three pillars that make up the Seiko Group conglomerate. Another Seiko Group pillar is Seiko Holdings which is responsible for Seiko watches. Technically, Orient Watch and Seiko watches are corporate cousins. While they are related, there is little involvement between the two." Thanks for the info and clarity. 😊👍
🤔 The big prolonged Roman numerals makes this classic dial way too cluttered. That's a shame, since the enamel is the real star of the show... Right specs, but not at this price tag. Next, please... 🧐

How does the enamel compare with AnOrdain would you know?
I don’t know the AnOrdain so I can’t compare it to the SARX.
Very nice
Always enjoy your videos, but please stop using that bell, it's too loud and seriously annoying!
orient would like to have a word.
Seiko own Orient, lol
@@MPD90 Epson owns Orient, Seiko Group own Epson, so yes Seiko does own Orient, LOL.

I would rather own a Vostok... seiko no longer make quality watches... They make jewelry not timepieces...
@@MPD90. Not broad. Diluted and uninspired jewelry.. not having an opinion would be dumb..

You would rather own Russian junk than a hand heated blue enamel dial made by a master artisan? Lol ok
