If I could keep only one it would be the green as it is more unique and alive which is what made me want the watch in the first place. This green dial is special.
Seiko has always been the king of attractive dials and recently, they have even further carried it to a fantastic level. They are an inspiration to other companies, including big ones.
Never apologize for a Seiko. If we take the price limitation out of the way, in my humble opinion is the GS SBGH267 a watch with the most beautiful mesmerizing dial ever.
I bought a Seiko Prospex Turtle - Save The Ocean Manta Ray edition because I absolutely fell in love with the dial. It's a beautiful gradient blue that darkens as you move away from the centre featuring subtle manta ray shapes. The dial is also textured to give the give the appearance of waves and the texture is very reminiscent of an oil painting. It gives the impression of being in the depths looking up to see manta rays silhouetted against the ocean surface. Also, the dials are slightly different between the version that comes on the rubber strap vs the bracelet version. The strap version features three manta rays, while the bracelet version has four manta rays.
This was my most recent acquisition too. Gorgeous dial and has become my daily wearer. I got the one with four manta rays as I liked the more vibrant blue to black than the Dark Manta version.
The fact that several Seikos made it to this list means the brand must be doing something great. I believe there are more Seiko lovers than snobbers out there. :) Great video as always. Thanks for sharing your unfathomable watch knowledge once again !
Tell me about it! I'm on the fence with a Omega Planet Ocean as my first really nice watch, now I'm not even thinking about it! I was actually pricing an Oyster Perpetual Rolex, these inexpensive available watches are just as beautiful!
I was passing a watch store in a shopping mall the other day and was surprised to see they had a Seiko stand in the window with some Presage models on display - it’s the first time I’d seen them in real life. I’ve got to say I was absolutely blown away by how good they look in real life. Also more to my surprise, the piece which most caught my eye was the Zen Garden model featuring the white dial with the vertical herringbone stripes. Absolutely stunning up close and I couldn’t believe just how good an around £500 watch could look.
You see brands do flashy things like different coloured dials, different hands, grainy dials etc to be different from others. But Im impressed how Nomos and Junghans can be so unique while staying very simple. They truly created something of their own here.
NOMOS is over rated. Sometimes 'minimalist' really means 'nothing there, but you pay as if there IS' I need different finished surfaces, applied numerals, special dial design, thin case, interesting lugs- SOMETHING for a multi thousand dollar watch.
My mother has a seiko presage cocktail time 34mm limited edition that kind of looks like Grand Seiko snowflake (it sort of resembles the texture of an art paper) and it's absolutely gorgeous😆 Edit: I think it's called the Fuyugeshiki
For my money, the Cocktail Time Negroni belongs on this list. It was my first "grail" (I have a very low budget for such things) and I still just stare at that dial constantly.
Hello Teddy, Yours is one of those channels where I can give a thumb up even before watching a video. I know I won't be sorry I did. And as I expected, this turned out to be a feast for my eyes. Bravo!
I recommend the Longines Spirit in white/silver. It has a sandy grain that can only be adequately appreciated in real life. I feel bad for Longines as their site has such poor photos! It's the best dial in its price point, if only it was a bit smaller (it wears huge).
Gosh, I'm still so glad I bought the SRPF41. It makes me happy every time I look at it. Absolute steal for a beautifully textured dial at under $500. So badly want an SPB089 to round out the colors in my collection.
The dial is the eyes of the watch, look closely and you will fall in love Some amazing dial and the Oris Big Crown is one of my favourites, another favourite of mine is the Omega Railmaster, especially the denim colour, the vertical graining is amazing.
Some great choices. The Junghans is breathtaking. I would throw in the Tissot white dial 1938 Telemeter, which uses colour to convey chronograph info with clarity and elegance. A lot of detail without looking ‘busy’, and a very handsome result.
I learnt about a lot of brands I have not heard of in this video and what they offer at a very affordable price point. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you
Love the Oris Burgundy Big Crown Pointer. May have to add that to my collection. Really enjoy your comments plus seeing a young man with a watch addiction instead of the latest phone.
SRPF is solid, classic AND the right size (even if you don't know it yet !!). A strong compilation, Teddy, thanks. If I was asked for recommendations in this bracket, I'd share this.
I would vote for the MeisterSinger N°01 - Blue Dial. From what I have seen online, the blue changes shade depending on the angle, and the domed sapphire enhances the effect a bit more.
8:22 I love the star dials like this a Lange & söhne and the patek Philippe celestial and the debethune !!! simple sports watches and simple dress watch dials don't impress me I've always liked the star dial and moonphase watches!!! 😎👍
The self model is amazing and a bang for the buck. I enjoyed all of the selections presented. Well done. I say the Longines yesterday, and its beautiful.
Teddy, one thing I'd love to see if you have any interest in the concept, would be a series where you showcase other men's fashion accessories alongside specific timepieces. Especially of you included some of your awesome interview and lifestyle videos where you showcase collections from prominent figures like Kevin O'Leary. For me personally I have a serious fine jewelry collection, which plays a significant role in which watch I chose to wear on any given occasion. Just a thought I wanted to share with you, love your style man. You have me inspired to get some more contemporary sport coat cuts in my wardrobe, looking sharp sir!
My choice of watch is a Seiko SPB093J1. I find the porcelain dial with blued hands reflects beautifully and is unique to anything Seiko does (not Grand Seiko) and definitely is very unique for the market as a whole. It goes retail over 2k, but can be found for less.
Nice to see a dial only vid. How about a “green only “ round up. From the most expensive and beautiful down to a realistic but tasteful. That would be awesome.
The last watch I bought was the sharpe edge blue dial Seiko and I have to say it’s been hard to take it off the wrist. It just works so well with everything.
I agree! I see the value and Teddy mentions Orient a lot (for good reason) but I am starting to realize logos on the watch make a huge difference to me. That's also one of the big reasons I am not a Tag fan personally.
Thanks for doing this! You reminded me to pick up an ordain it it's 2,400 btw. The Longines looks so good and doesn't get enough love in general! Also the Longines big eye has an amazing dial too in blue.
I was lucky enough to buy my anOrdain Model One directly from their studio in Glasgow, Scotland. When I visited they were busy developing and perfecting the fumé enamel process but you could see how beautiful they were going to be. Incredible value for such unique and exquisite pieces. Lovely people too.
Just got SEIKO Pressage automatic green dial version. Looks gorgeous! Dial is absolute superb and the bracelet is very well finished also. For about 500 EUR it is good value for the money! Hard to have a better looking dial. Maybe for watches over 10000$ which are not accesible for 99,999% of people.
Two Casio which I Love to wear for mostly because of their dials along my WC and Omega Seamaster 1-Casio Edifice ETD-300 DY 2-Casio Edifice EFM-100. They have probably one of the best dials under 150 USD.
Glad to see Tissot represented. Good choice, although I prefer the Le Locle (Silver). I am a huge fan of the Junghans Max Bill (Anthracite is my favorite version). And that Oris pointer date is gorgeous.
I have the rose gold Le locle with black textured dial. It is a beautiful watch and looks much more expensive than it is. I wonder why no one mentions the Tissot le locle watches. They are great
Those textured Seiko dials are just amazing!! The new colours available for the Tissot Gentlemen with the sector lines (especially in green) looks so much nicer than the blue! I learned so much about watches over lockdown because of you, so thank you!! Such a great video Teddy!!!
The sharp edge Seikos have grown on me day by day. I love them
Got the green and the blue ones. Worth it.
@@bruceleroy8063 what one do you like the most?
If I could keep only one it would be the green as it is more unique and alive which is what made me want the watch in the first place. This green dial is special.
For sure!!

Seiko has always been the king of attractive dials and recently, they have even further carried it to a fantastic level. They are an inspiration to other companies, including big ones.
Agreed 🎉
You’re churning these videos out thick and fast! Keep them coming great work!
That green Presage is gorgeous. One of the most beautiful watches I've seen.
yeah so balanced and beautiful
I guess Im kind of off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online?
@Aden Valentin Thank you, I signed up and it seems to work =) Appreciate it !!
@Memphis Spencer no problem xD
Meh…over rated. I own a sarb065
Never apologize for a Seiko. If we take the price limitation out of the way, in my humble opinion is the GS SBGH267 a watch with the most beautiful mesmerizing dial ever.
I don't think so. Beauty is always a matter of taste.
@@Mentis-de I agree opinions are like arses, everyone has one. What's your favorite watch dial?
I totally agree with you Ivan
That's got to be one of the best dials I've ever seen.
@@ivantomovic I really love Seiko zen garden sakura daytime, the dial is absolutely amaaaazing.
I love what seiko are doing at the minute but that longines is gorgeous. Great video teddy
My blue Seiko Presage Cocktail is my favorite watch in my collection. The entire Presage line are stunners.
Do the glass get scratches easily?

I like the srph57 imitating a turtle back
That Max Bill is one of the best looking dress watches I’ve seen at any price point. I just love the look
Yes, but I cant help but feel that they screwed up with that aweful colored strap!
@@deansusec8745 brown?
@@sinjon yes, but that shade and style don't work for the dial

Seiko FTW!
Love the blue dial of that Seiko. Such a smart nice looking watch!
Great selection, Teddy!! I would love a sequel to this video for the $2k-5k range. Cheers
The blue Seiko in its rose gold version is just mouth watering.
The grainy dial one?
Seiko killing it with fantastic dials.

You mean, boring. Grand Seiko at least has textures and precise manufacturing to make their watches interesting and simple. Nomos just bores me.

Some cool choices here. Like the Orient Symphony, the Bulova Frank Sinatra, and the Longines.
so many things to learn have kept uploading in this channel 👍
Seiko is crushing it!!
For my money, the Cocktail Time Negroni belongs on this list. It was my first "grail" (I have a very low budget for such things) and I still just stare at that dial constantly.
I like my Tissot T-Sport’s striped dial face and love the way the second and minute hands go under all of the 5 minute markers.
Great content, Teddy! I was kinda hoping the Seiko Manta Ray would make the list, but I have to say that Zelos Nova is amazing.
That texturized Seiko was stunningly gorgeous and definitely a baby Grand Seiko!

Seiko's are great!
a lot of contestants here in this pageant. I'm loving that Anordain. The adventurine close second. great episode.
Interesting pieces. Regards.
I listen to Teddy before sleep. It relaxes me.
There's also the limited edition Seiko Starlight, which is probably their best dial in the presage lineup, but they're quite rare to find nowadays

Seiko are stunning. And with great quality.
I have fallen in love with my SEIKO5 full lume watches one in silver tone another in gold. They always get me a wow what kind of watch is that!
Nice review, Teddy! The most interesting dials to me from this video are probably the:
1. Sinn 104 Green dial
2. Max Bill
3. Green Seiko dial
I learnt about a lot of brands I have not heard of in this video and what they offer at a very affordable price point. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you
That Zelos Nova is a show stopper. The dial is exquisite, the star field look mesmerizes.

The Lorier Geminis are the most beautiful affordable watches for my taste. Love anything with a Panda dial and a mechanical chronograph.
I have that Seiko SPB167 - it’s sophisticated, eye catching and blue collar all at the same time. A future Seiko classic!
I just inherited a Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 day/date and haven't taken it off my wrist since getting it 3months ago. Absolutely love it!
I'm wearing my beautiful black faced, rosegold Orient Bambino at this moment. It keeps lousy time but looks fantastic while doing it :D
