Jen. I just want to say thank you for doing these products that no one is talking about instead of just what's trendy. I appreciate them so much because you can find some really great gems. 🕵️💎
The Revlon eyeshadow quads are really, really good. Slight Flex has that beautiful wash of a duochrome and The Big Bang are all beautiful shades. Go to Walmart for the best price tho.
I love how you describe products, and I also love how you compare them to others. I have seen other reviews (mostly negative) for the Revlon palettes and I could never tell if they didn't like it because of formula or personal preference. Now I know. Wonderful video as always.
Im 41 and have used the Covergirl foundation since my early 30's. I have oily/combination acne prone skin and it holds up so well and looks very natural. For me it can look cakey but i apply it by spraying a dense flat top brush with rosewater or setting spray on then buff on. With this application you can layer a bit to get more coverage.
The Covergirl foundation has been a staple for me for the past couple of years. I think I have 2 backups, I feel like I go thru it pretty quickly, Its my go to out the door weekend errand foundation. Its so fast and looks really nice, happy to see it getting some love! Would like to pick up that Black Honey dupe after I finish my no buy period, add to list :).
Me too, the Cover Girl outlast all day cream foundation has been a HG of mine for several years. Gives me a my skin but better appearance and is great for no makeup makeup days or gym days with a little bit more coverage then a tinted moisturizer.
@@nellyf1592 the new CG serum foundation is very dewy and personally I didn’t like the way it looked after setting it with powder. Not as thrilled as I thought I’d be unfortunately.
That vest really makes your eyes look very blue! I didn't know Covergirl still made the Ageless line...I used to use the Ageless Concealer, and loved it for its coverage and hydration! I can't believe a Revlon Eyeshadow palette would be a dupe for the Tom Ford - crazy good, and you can never go wrong with a shimmery lid - I think lids look the best with shimmer!
WOW! This was such a fabulous tour de force. So grateful, heat and food prices have skyrocketed so I want affordable beauty products. And you look stunning (I love what you have done with your hair, it really flatters you)! Thank you for a reminder of these beautiful, affordable products. Budget worthy and beautiful! THANK YOU!
This was a good one! I have the impossible primer and really like it. I have to try the CoverGirl foundation. I have the so fierce Revlon eyeshadow. It is different. Loved your eye look especially wet. I also like the lash discovery mascara. And have been wanting to try the physician formula spray. Thanks Jen. Always great ideas. Here for it all though! Be well and stay warm, it is frigid out there!! Brrrr. Be well
The Covergirl foundation simply ageless is really good, and also as a concealer... Tarababyz uses it for shadow primer.. I use the palest shade from Walmart. Lash Discovery is always what I start with to find my pale lashe, coats all the way to the root. Then I will use another mascara to get volume.
I just have to say that after mass I went to the store and bought that lip combo and it’s perfect!! Thanks Jen. I have more pigmented lips than you but it doesn’t look too light! Love it. Thanks!
I use that Covergirl foundation in Natural Ivory. I thinks it's the perfect shade for my fair complexion. Also thanks for adding the prices for the products in the description box.
I would love to see a video on “drugstore Products that feel high end” Not necessarily dupes, but products that have super luxurious packaging, innovative ingredients or unique formulasb
Hi Jen! I'm always excited to see what you will upload on Sunday! That L'oreal Double Extend Mascara used to be my holy grail, I need to pick it up again and give it another shot! I have that Revlon eyeshadow palette - I'll have to try it wet, for sure! I have that Physician's formula Toner/Setting spray and I definitely agree, that mister is amazing. I need to try that Neutrogena lip crayon, it's so pretty! Thank you for all you do and have a great week!
That Neutrogena setting spray is on my list to try once I finish some of my setting sprays up. Right now my fave setting spray is the Gerard Cosmetics one. It just leave skin looking really healthy afterwards and melts makeup into the skin. I love that - being 36 yrs old - I don't like my skin to look powdery or anything.
I like trying new foundations, but if I need a "no time to play- skin's gotta be guaranteed perfect ASAP," the CG foundation is my holy grail. It's never, ever let me down. It's great for dry and mature skin, and their cool undertone formulas are perfect for me.
Thank you so much! I got them on Amazon! These are the vases: bit.ly/3A45e4o and then the green Eucalyptus: bit.ly/3A28Gwk and the red Winter Jasmine: bit.ly/3tCOZKF
You look gorgeous! I love using that Revlon duochrome as a one & done, l also have It's a Dub. The Neutrogena crayons look like Clinique Chubby Balm Sticks which l love. Keen to try those Covergirl foundations, if that's what you're wearing it looks beautiful ❤
Great video! I use the CG foundation in the pump formula and swear by it! The Maybelline mascara with the small wand is awesome and like you I don’t know why it’s not mentioned more often. I need to pick up a new tube of it … thanks for the reminder! CG makes a mascara that’s awesome and falls under the radar as well - Exhibitionist. You should give that a try. Thanks for the awesome reviews Jen! I’ve got to find that PF setting spray when I go pick up the Maybelline mascara 😊.
Gosh Jen, you look absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for all of your heard work, my favorite beauty channel "by far"! Sending love and gratitude your way for 2022 and beyond!! ❤
Burt's Bees isn't talked about much, they are a brand I am sort of rediscovering recently. I like their tinted balms quite a bit, and their lip shimmers are good. I just ordered a cuticle balm so we will see how that works. Nice video.
I have been using Burt's Bees lip shimmers for at least 15 years. It's my go to when I don't want to do a full lipstick with liner. I've even gotten away with just using it when I'm out to look a little more polished. Having what looks like lipstick always makes me think I'm at least somewhat put together (even if I have no other makeup on). My color is plum so that should tell you why it helps me look a little better.
@@kfemme68 Yes, they are quite good. I liked Watermelon and Fig the best, Peony was nice too. Maybe I need to revisit but they are nice and compact too!
I had that Revlon palette in my hand the other day and now I regret not picking it up, it looks gorgeous. I am half tempted to drive to the store to get it...in a snowstorm. 😂😂😂
I'm really loving on Loreal True Match Correcteur Creme. You have to shake it first use, but the coverage is so good an feels light weight, unlike a heavy concealer.
I’ve tried a few of these products! Unfortunately, the wet n wild primer doesn’t work for me. I tried it with several different formulas and it’s a no go. 😞 the revlon quad is beautiful. I have a different version and I like to apply it over a white, tacky base for maximum impact. The maybelline lash discovery is an old favorite of mine. I can’t do my bottom lashes without it! You look beautiful!
Love these videos ❤ you really are a living/breathing beauty encyclopedia 😆 I love the lash discovery mascara and have been using it for years, but I have only ever used it on my lower lash line. Going to use it as a tight line mascara from now on! You're a gem, thank you!
Great video, thank you. I’ve used the L’Oréal double extend mascara exclusively for the last 8 years. I think some people don’t like it because it’s tricky to work with. You have to work very fast. Especially if you want several coats. You can’t even comb it once it dies.
Love these videos! I have or am currently using most of the products you featured on this video, and love them all. The Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes tubing mascara has been one of my holy grails for years, I mean, it does not flake, smear, or anything like that yet is so easy to remove with just warm water. I too enjoy the little Revlon eyeshadow palette, the Neutrogena lip crayons, the Physicians Formula Healthy Skin spray, and... I forget the rest, but know most of them are true winners. Your hair and makeup look so pretty today, and I'm loving that shirt, so classic and fresh!
People have been sleeping on the pismatic eyeshadow quads from Revlon. Their prismatic bronzers are also dupes for Beccas bronzers, just to let you know!
I have a new drugstore mascara I am loving, I use to always buy high end mascaras but I got a free mascara in a perfume order and it was Max Factor Masterpiece mascara and I love, love it it has a plastic wand which I normally hate but nope this is skinny and so easy to use, great for harder to coat bottom lashes. I realised this is first time in ages I have left a comment just been watching you on the TV lately rather than laptop or phone.
Oh Jen how i love you and your videos 📹 ❤ 💕 💗 thanks for featuring drugstore makeup 💄 😘 ❤ hope 2022 brings many blessings to you, your family, and channel!
Hi Jen, have you tried the Maybelline 4 in 1 Perfector Glow Makeup as a light coverage foundation? It's really beautiful and makes the skin look like juicy, plump, baby skin! There's not much coverage, like the Simply Ageless you like, which you can add concealer to if you need it. It's really a beautiful product and I love using it as a glowy, sheer/Light coverage foundation.
Mabeline Lash discovery is on my list! I love Clinique's wand (I used to work for them at all the Retailers) and I used to grab a few of the wands. These videos are great Jen! Btw, I am still LOVING my Doll10 box. Those products are SO SO good.
So appreciate this video! It's great to hear your thoughts on these products! Someone else mentioned the Physicians Formula spray (can't remember who right now). I'm going to have to try that one. 😊
i loveeee the lash discovery mascara soooo much. it’s one of my favorites esp for my lower lashes. the xx revolution blushes look beautiful and i hope that they come to ulta. ♥️♥️♥️
The neutrogena lip sticks are some of my favorites … great video Jen. I forgot about some of these products that I actually loved like the covergirl foundation
Sheglam makes a pink colored primer. I just used it. It looks beautiful under makeup. The Essence tinted primer it nice too with and without makeup on top.
The Cover Girl Foundation is one of my favorites, it's quick and easy to apply. I find it gives full coverage when I first apply concealer on my age spots then use a flat top foundation brush. Sometimes I use an illuminating primer underneath. Buff Beige has always been my perfect shade in Cover Girl Foundations.
Mac makes a lower lash mascara that makes it look like you put eyeliner on your bottom lash too. Clinique was the first bottom lash mascara that I used because I never use to put mascara on my bottom lash because it made me nervous. Bottom lash mascaras are great when you have a mascara wand applicator that's good but huge.. I'll look into the mascara that you showed. 😊 Thanks for the video!
Wow, you had some good finds in this video! I’ve been using the Thrive mascara for years and I love it, but it can be hard to remove. I’m going to pick up both of those mascaras, the ridiculously named lip pencil , and that blush. Thanks Jen 🥰
@@meganburbage1232 I know that’s how it’s supposed to remove, but I’ve never had it remove that easily on me, it always gets stuck at the roots and have to scrub with a wet q-tip to get it all out. I wish it was so simple because it’s a great mascara.
Happy Sunday Jen!! Love this type of videos XOXO Very pretty makeup looks you created here. Thanks again for great contents here and your dedication 👏 XOXO
That Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara is great! I especially love it as a lower lash mascara. I used to love the Clinique mascara that had no brush (it looked like just a threaded screw, almost). It was back in the 80s and it came in a silver tube.
Totally hidden gem that I recently tried on a whim cause it’s only 4$! I’ve never heard anyone talk about The LA girl ultimate eye intense eyeliners! They’re great! I got the “super bright” nude shade. I’ve heard a little bit of buzz about the shockwave eyeliners but not these.
@@JenPhelps my 14yr old daughter is starting to try makeup so I took her to ulta for a few items in her price range. LA girl and ELF are the best for teens. I didn’t realize how expensive most drugstore brands are now! Geez. The OG drugstore products remain reasonable but any “new releases” are 15$ and up.
Everything I love in your videos! Lots of good info, dupes, and good lip products! I love that you revisited products that have been out for a while that aren’t being talked about - with new stuff coming out constantly, it’s easy to forget about a product, even if it was good. I’m just too distracted by the new and shiny!
@BlingBea - Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just read Estee Lauder decided to nix Physicians Formula entirely, so if you love that product, stock up while you can and start looking for a dupe. Lynn
@BlingBea Sorry, it was not Physicans Formula (not even owned by Estee Lauder) - not enough coffee yet. I cannot wait to try this same setting spray though! L
The L’Oréal Tubes Mascara is amazing so is the Nuetrogeena Lip Crayon, two of my favorite cosmetic products ever!!! The lip crayon is my holy grail. Super moisturizing and my go to!!
Those Revlon quads, specifically the one you showed, are AMAZING. The duo chrome is like the best one and done eyeshadow I have. It looks natural but the shift makes it so special.
I am very interested in Revlon eyeshadow palettes for a while !! So,very glad to see it here you picked it !! It has no colour agents ,natural pigments, I believe !! And no talc ,no harsh preservatives, which are very important to me lately besides being cruelty free !!! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Your the best I love the dupes!! And everything about all your video's!!! So much information and you really care because it shows! Thank you so much for giving us your time and effort⚘
As a Redhead, who has calico eyelashes, I enjoy thin mascara wands. It's hard to get to the blonde base of my lashes and coat them with a club shaped brush. If lash discovery comes in brown..I would be Thrilled!!!
I know this isn’t drugstore but thought it might be worth a mention? Sydney Grace is doing a 5 preselected shades for $20 each month of 2022, which is 30% off (I think) and since I love Sydney Grace I jumped on the January bundle. They are beautiful! So smooth, so pigmented! They are magnetic so need a compact but I plan to get one or two from Amazon in the sizes I want. I am waiting for Feb 2022 to be released on her website and I plan to use this as a push to go outside my comfort zone of the same colors I tend to use all of the time! Love your videos! 💗
@None OfURbusiness - I just saw a wand like that in a recent review and will try to find out which brand it was. I want to say I saw it on a Michele W haul. I may have saved the video.
Wow these are great!! I 100% agree with you about the Physicians Formula Toner/Setting spray. I use it as a toner. Alaskan winters are especially harsh and it has saved my dry skin. I use it right after I cleanse when my skin is still damp and it is amazing for sealing in the moisture and soothing my irritated skin. I’ve used up an entire bottle and repurchased. I want to try the Covergirl foundation next. 😊
The XX Revolution line I think is the "high end" line inside the brand, so probably that's why the package is so fancy (compared with other products of the same brand!). As you say, some products might be a hit or a miss but I personally think the most "risky" products are the shadows. I've tried a pair of skincare products and are good for their price (not the holy grail but can help if you don't want to spend a lot of money). Another product I can recommend is the Makeup Revolution Reloaded highlighter in the shade Just my type! (not glitter at all and a very wearable highlighter for everyday!).
Love your channel and always look fwd to your videos! Im 52yo with combo/oily skin, subtle lines and light sun spots on my cheeks. Hoping the cover girl foundation will work. I usually go drugstore brand for the daily natural look and reserve higher end for special occasions. I have the Revlon shadows for special occasions and it is flattering on my slightly crepey eyelids . It doesn’t exaggerate the texture. Sooo happy u updated the Phys Formula review cuz its been sitting on my vanity for a long time but I haven’t found a review (except a quick one from Dr Dray) on how it can be used. I think i will use it as both toner and setting spray. Thank You!👍👍👍👍👍
I LOVE the Moisture Smooth Lip Crayons. There’s a good bit of pigment in them and SOOOOOOOOOO hydrating. I like the dark raisin color BETTER than Clinique’s Black Honey. I’m very tempted by the Revlon quads, but i have enough of those type of colors.
The Simply Ageless line is good for mature skin all around so far. Have stash tube of the concealer, but haven't tried it out yet. Wet n Wild had that slim mascara a while back but the waterproof one made your lashes brittle after removal. I just got the Eyeko Yoga from TJ Maxx which is also supposed to be tubing. I haven't used the waterproof version, but Snapscara waterproof is also supposed to be tubing. Been searching for waterproof, workout-proof mascaras that don't leave my lashes feeling dried out.
I absolutely agree with you about the XXRevolution line. I love the eyeshadow palettes I own from that line. I will definitely have to get a blush. Thank you for the recommendation, sweetheart!❤️
Hi! Can you please kindly tell me whether the lash discovery mascara holds the curl well or not? I have very straight and thick lashes so usually mascaras don't hold my curls for long enough.
@@Zari_ifa i don't curl my lashes so I can't comment on how it performs on that front. Sorry. I'm not sure where you are located but Walgreens and CVS have great return policies, just save your receipt. Ulta also has a great return policy so you could try it and return it if it doesn't work for you. 🙂
I love CLINIQUE Black Honey and find myself buying a lot of similar products from other brands that may be just a tad different. And I love them all. The ones that are a little more brown or purple or reddish. I find them all so flattering on my fair skintone because they're not just bold color. I like that they have a translucency to them.

I use the Loreal primer in that red and white tube then the thrive mascara. Works well together
I love the CG foundation and you got me stuck on the powder. The powder is the best powder I have ever found for my dry skin. Bought two colors.
Sheglam makes a pink colored primer. I just used it. It looks beautiful under makeup. The Essence tinted primer it nice too with and without makeup on top.
I used one of the wet and wild primers up recently and will repurchase. It feels so smooth under make up.
They have really nice complexion products!
I bought it with the tinted hydrator and like that, as well!
Your sweater really brings out your eyes! Great color on you.
Thanks for showing demos on your hand so we can see close ups, it really helps see the texture
You are my fav UA-camr! Loved this video so much and have added the items I don’t already have to my list to purchase. Thanks Jen!
Aw thank you so much!!
I love waterproof lash discovery for my lower lashes. Never transfers or smudges. Those neutrogena lil crayons are one if my favorites.
Those Revlon palettes look so pretty!
They really are! I was surprised!
Wow, you had some good finds in this video! I’ve been using the Thrive mascara for years and I love it, but it can be hard to remove. I’m going to pick up both of those mascaras, the ridiculously named lip pencil , and that blush. Thanks Jen 🥰
The Thrive mascara removes with warm water and nothing else because it's a tubing mascara. That's one of its selling points x
Love this type of videos XOXO
Very pretty makeup looks you created here.
Ohh yeah! I remember that one!
I also really enjoy the glassy photo finish primer from touch and soul comes in the same type of packaging as the jelly when you showed
Oh wow I hadn't heard of those either...I have a lot of the Shockwave ones. I'll have to try them!
That cover girl foundation is my daughters favorite. She has oily acne prone skin and it’s the only one that sits nicely on her
I'm going to have to try that Maybelline mascara thanks for the review
I used to use Lash Discovery... You are right I need to try it again! I used to use it on the lower lashes but it looked so good on your upper lashes
Everything I love in your videos! Lots of good info, dupes, and good lip products! I love that you revisited products that have been out for a while that aren’t being talked about - with new stuff coming out constantly, it’s easy to forget about a product, even if it was good. I’m just too distracted by the new and shiny!
I'm the same way, haha! I like to do videos like this to remind myself of older products. :)
Just added that Physicians Formula spray to my cart, thank you Jen another awesome video while drinking my coffee.🥰
Woah the pigment of that blush! I feel like I need it in my life. Thanks Jen for the great recommendations as always 🥰
The L’Oréal Tubes Mascara is amazing so is the Nuetrogeena Lip Crayon, two of my favorite cosmetic products ever!!! The lip crayon is my holy grail. Super moisturizing and my go to!!
I might check out the neutrogena lip crayon. I have clinique black honey and love the color but I don’t like that it has a lipstick taste/flavor.
You mentioned so many no one else has. Look forward to trying out some more products. Great video.🙌🙌💄
The loreal tubing mascara is my all time favorite mascara! So glad you mentioned it!
I was literally just putting on the Neutrogena lip soother when you started talking about it. So good 😍
I love the Revlon So Fierce Prismatic quads! I was so impressed with one,
I went back to Walmart to buy them all 💓
I might get some more also!
Awesome video Jen. I haven't done drugstore in a long time, maybe need to look into these! Thanks for the video! 👍♥️🙂
Those Revlon quads, specifically the one you showed, are AMAZING. The duo chrome is like the best one and done eyeshadow I have. It looks natural but the shift makes it so special.
It really does! There's not a lot of shifty eyeshadows at the drugstore!
I am very interested in Revlon eyeshadow palettes for a while !! So,very glad to see it here you picked it !! It has no colour agents ,natural pigments, I believe !! And no talc ,no harsh preservatives, which are very important to me lately besides being cruelty free !!! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
My favorite kind of video!! Yeeesss Jen! 😍❤️👍👍
I love Sydney Grace!! They are my favorite eyeshadow of all time...such an amazing formula!
Speaking of small mascara wands, my mom (85) used a wand w/o any bristles. It looked like a skinny screw driver. She never had clumps.
Wow that sounds super interesting!!
I agree! I think blush is a product that's hard to mess up but I'm way more picky with eyeshadows!
Loving the lashes on you Jen, gorgeous!
I love the Lash Discovery. I hate the giant brushes that are so popular these days. i will definitely be repurchasing it.
I have been looking for mascara with a tiny brush, so thank you! I also have that Revlon palette and love the colors in it.
I'd never heard of that tubing mascara! Thanks for all your hard work.
I love the liquid version of the Covergirl Simply Ageless Foundation.
Nice products! I bought one of those neutragena lip crayons on a whim, and I totally agree! It feels so good on my lips, and the color is perfect!
Came to say I love the sweater vest and shirt!
Aw thank you!
