what we all did whenever we see cavalry in a strategy game

- ever since Lord of the Rings came out every single one of us whenever we played a strategy game with cavalry in it we would just make huge armies of cavalry and have them charge head first into a huge army of infantry and watch the massacre lol

The first time I saw Demigryph knights, I started a custom battle and chareged them against goblins.
Glorious.
as god intended and tax payer money well spent
I really love the Medieval II mechanics, even though it's like twenty years old now the battlefield feels more filled with life compared to the later, more animated Total War combat.
the only problem is the controls and camera :c
@@allpixelsmatter5471 I am sure you know but be sure to check the settings, you can change the control preset to like... "RTS Mode" or something which is more in line with the newer games.
@@winndypops yeah that was my settings when i made this video but it is still very clunky
There is a camera mod now that fixes that, for the most part@@allpixelsmatter5471
you mean "more filled with death"
It is like seeing a chopper past by, don't matter how many times
This is like the 300 Spartans thing. Make a tiny force of elite units holding a chokepoint vs hordes of low-tier units.
yeah i love doing something like that in Rome 2 and Atilla
great now i just want to make a sequel to this video with either a Spartan mod or with Rome 2's Spartans
@@allpixelsmatter5471please do ill gladly watch
Guys will see this and think: Hell Yeah!😎
that is what every man said when the Rohan showed up
The infantry on the receiving end of the charge: Hell No!😂
@@sygnomi8312 the orcs that tried to run away in game and in the movie were the smart orcs
The masculine urge to be part of a huge, medieval meelee:
Hell yeah!
KNIGHTS OF ROHAN, CHARGE!
DEATH!
Forth Eorlingas!!! \0/
Charges never get old.
facts
When I read a novel which there are 15k cav charging an army with 60k infantry, i thought that shit was unbelievable. But watching this video make me realize that it was in fact not unbeliavable
i could of done more units but it would of been a laggy unwatchable video
Cavalry was the tanks of yesterday.
You really, really, REALLY don’t want to face cavalry in an open field as infantry. Even all the way into the Napoleonic wars cavalry were to be feared. The moment they got anywhere close infantry would form square and only get out when they left. (As long as there wasn’t also enemy artillery… then you were fucked regardless.)
@AtlasNL but if it was the Winged Hussars, then the only chance of survival is to run away lol
@@allpixelsmatter5471 No outrunning a horse :)
The horse archers of yesteryear were very much the drive-by shooters of today.
they just needed to one hand gangster fire crossbows
@@allpixelsmatter5471 funny Enough some nomadic tribes would shoot there bows like this
I mainly think of the apache I've heard that they would hold there bow side ways and hold more than one arrow in hand to rapid fire the arrows and were so effective with them
Others needed to make a fire arm that could shoot more than one shot before reloading
Coming the up with the colt I think idk about gun names but that sounds right?
I could and most likely butchering the story
But roughly what happened
This is what bannerlord should look like, but you can take 250 soldiers maximun, and armies cannot attack all at once
I dont know what your talking about even on the series s I can take 700 to 1000 siege battles lag immensely if I try to do anything but delegate command or charge but it works the hardest part is getting more than a couple hundred cavalry
I remember watching videos and seeing what actual historical cavalry charges looked like and being disappointed that they didn't look like this.
Now I'm older and I really learned to appreciate what a real charge looked like, but ones like this never get old.
"you may be a cavalry charge but not a super one"
"yeah what's the difference?"
"PRESENTATION!!!"
Why isn't the theme of Rohan playing?
Thank you, Peter Jackson
I also like to scream out, "Hold the line!"
Lol, a cav charge getting stopped by a thin line of archers.
mount and blade warband when you let your 80 swadian knights charge against 30 bandits
GO FORTH EORLINGAS !!!
DEATH!!!
DEATH!!!!!
RIIIDE, RIDE TO RUUUIN AND THE WORLD'S ENDING. DEAAAAAATH
Forth Eorlingas!
Can confirm, I fought multiple custom battles with full stacks of legionnaire cavalry against full stacks of puny Iberian infantry back in the first Rome Total War just to watch them crash into them and immediately routing/annihilating them.
SEGA still prints money thanks to one simple yet satisfying game mechanic...
Cavalry charges
this is what CoD is missing a cavalry style charge with tanks
The ride of the Rohirrim
FOR ROHAAAAN!!!
i cannot lie when i got the norscan dlc i just made a custom battle of reikland knights vs war mammoths
Charge!
6000 spears, i want twice that number
I hate how true this is
why hate it? it is so much fun lol
Except in Rome Total War against phalangites. The Phalanx is broken OP in that game 😇
The counter is volleys of arrows on the non shielded side and they melt like butter 🙂
I mean the phalanx was op in real life too
@@liljimmy8248just go around them or get in their face lol
anyone down for some third age total war?
Third age reforged is popular
I loved this mod back in the day
it's still being updated to this day with Divide and Conquer and people still play with Third Age from time to time besides Dawnless Days
vanilla med2 charges are so obnoxious its beyond belief its like hitting a brick wall , but for some reason they were almost perfect in rome 1 , but then again i think med2 is built on the same engine as rome 1 so they probably broke a few things , only modded med2 comes close to rome 1 charges , same reason why i preffer the cav charges in later total war games
For some reason, the Medieval 2 cavalry made less of an impact than in the Rome 1. I remember being very much let down by M2 cavalry when coming from Rome 1 and Battle for Middle-Earth
* *laughs in Rhodok* *
*laughs in Swadia and butter*
Did you use a mod for this?

First!!
I hate to be this guy but It makes me cringe: "cavalry"
ah sorry about that it was very late when i posted this video
@@allpixelsmatter5471 haha all good. I'm the a###### for pointing it out anyway
@@lukerevelt7265 i still wish you a very good donut the next time you visit a donut shop :D
Whats wrong with "cavalry"?
@@cenktuneygok8986 they must've spelt it "Calvary" when they posted it, doth grindeth mine gears also
This is not realistic. The Calvary would move further in more quickly against the Infantry in real life.
and this is footage of a video game of course it's not gonna be realistic or just like the movie
