I grew up watching him, but I fell in love with him during this quarantine. I am so heart broken. Actors like him are timeless and even if I'm 4 years late, I still love him. I loved him as Snape❤ I will love him...always
Losing Alan Rickman feels like loosing that one distant uncle you only see at family reunions but you can’t wait to see him! U literally only go bc you look forward to seeing him. He makes it fun and memorable and without him there it would be dull and boring. I still cry when I rewatch Harry Potter, when I see those wands go up for Dumbledore my eyes water thinking of Rickman.
“how can you miss someone you’ve never met cause I need you now but I don’t know you yet” *Alan Rickman, the only man that I miss the most and yet I never had the chance to meet this extraordinary one of a kind man :(* I love you Alan 🥺 it hurts so much to think you’re not here with us. We’re still thinking about you every single day 🕊 /* Always
His passing just took my breath away the second I awoke I read the news and it was the first thing I saw. I admired him so much as a genius in the film industry and a bit envious of people who got to work with him. I can't imagine what friends and family are going through. Great clip here.
He should have won an Oscar. He most of his life was acting in theater, therefore he did not so many movies. Only when he was already older. So many people loved him, I did since recognizing this wonderful person he was as Brandon in - Sense and Sensibility - was the same person acting as the awful Sheriff of Nottingham. I became interested, what this actor really was like and met the fan pages. Then there was another movie - Rasputin. I thought, oh no, what does he look like again here. Maybe I will watch the movie. After I watched it, I really became a fan. I never really was successful finding out what kind of person he was. Until he died and all spoke out who knew him. Anyway he was a wonderful actor. Thankful for all the pleasure I had watching his work forever!
I've been trying to find the words to describe Alan, and Julia has illustrated a portrait of him very accurately and perfectly. You will be missed for your personality, talents, and much more, but will never be forgotten. Thank you for contributing every thing you've done to the world Mr. Rickman. Rest in Peace and Paradise Alan Rickman.
That was one of the most beautiful speechesI have ever heard. Juliet Stevenson is admirably brave and still wonderfully and precisely defines what I guess everyone have been feeling whenever Mr. Rickman acted. My great regret is never being able to see him on stage. I am so so sorry for the loss of him. Thank you for the interview.
It still holds true.......when someone you know, either personally or through media, and respect........a part of your world is taken away. R.I.P. Alan.
It was like a beloved brother/uncle died when we heard. to my 16 year old daughter, she burst into tears and said, "snape's dead!" when i made the connection, i burst into tears too. "the voice of god" is dead. Harry Potter and Dogma, some of his most beautiful roles and it made him part of our family.
A great loss to the acting community. I loved how he could play a great villain on set, and he was such a nice man in real life. A mark of a superb actor. RIP Alan Rickman
Nice interview. Truly Madly Deeply -- that's when I fell in love with him. Such a talented actor, sweet, sweet man and adorable star. The world is a little less wonderful without him.
Truly, Madly, Deeply was the first movie I ever saw Alan Rickman in, and I fell madly in love with the characters, but also in love with him - there was just something about him that drew me to him. I was gobsmacked when his death was announced and my world went a little darker. Thank god for the wonderful films, interviews etc. he has left behind for us to enjoy and remember him by. Lovely, lovely interview with Juliet Stevenson.
An old, wonderful soul that left us too soon, but also left his mark. Indelible, and evergreen. It is a successful life that inspires such admiration and love. Well done Alan. RIP
HE IS SO TALENTED, INTELLIGENT, AND A WONDERFUL ACTOR, HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO DIE SO SOON.... HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO DIE AT ALL 😭 Rip snape Rip Alan Rickman
I've not seen many movies of him but the only one which gave me his exceptional talent understanding....Die hard....the hatred he generate as a villain is out standing... RIP
He was quite brilliant, both as an actor and in interviews. He was gracious, generous and kind in an industry full of people who serve only their own vain egos. Delightfully witty, and with a great presence and a unique talent for being the part, rather than acting it.
She Said... "I feel as though we had lost the steering wheel of the car, we had no idea which way we are going and need to look for guidance"... I can only imagine everyone who lives he touched would feel exactly the same way. 😥
It is such a big loss to the acting world, he leaves a big gap in people's hearts . Watched love actually just to see what a great actor you were and what we have lost. May you rest in peace Alan xx
He helped so many people go the right way with one sentence or a glance.. he made people happy with a joke or a smile.. he will always be here with us in life and death.. rest in peace alan❤
'Truly, Madly, Deeply' and in particular the scene shown here is one of my all time favourites. Absolutely mesmerising performances from Juliette Stephenson and Alan Rickman who had an exquisitely eclectic range of scenes throughout the film with great chemistry together, I've lost count of how many times I've seen it since It's an absolutely wonderful, enchanting film, and I love the fact that the role of 'Jamie' has so many parallels with the great man himself.
2016 was such a cruel year of taking away so many amazing performers and artists - Victoria Wood, Caroline Aherne, Carrie Fisher, Prince, David Bowie, and of course, Alan Rickman. I must have watched Truly Madly Deeply at least a dozen times, and each time I cry bucketloads. The part where he has memorised a Spanish poem for Juliet's character to translate is just so emotional and heart-breaking.
It's just not right that this happened to him. He said his father died from cancer, but I think it was lung cancer. It's awful that he had to go this way. He died too young and should have been able to play Snape for years to come if he wanted to! I can't believe it was three years ago. What a wonderful man and a class act all the way around. RIP Alan. You will always be with us in our hearts.
It is so moving to know how he was so personally responsible for his own work & life while being so accessible to friends, colleagues, other artists. We will all miss new work from him forever.
Rest in peace Mister Sir Alan Rickman Legend ... Sad news :( , huge loss , great actor and person , the world will be poorer without You , We will never forget You , You and Your characters ( "Always" Professor Severus Snape and all Harry Potter crew ) will live forever in our hearths , You made our childhoods and we are forever grateful ... Pocivajte u miru , neka je laka zemlja , vecna slava i veliko hvala na svemu Legendo ... Raise our wands , rest in peace and Thank you for everything from the whole world who loves You Mister Sir Alan Rickman Legend ! ...
One of if not the best and accurate manors to portray the King, the Leader and Master Rickman who was taken from us too soon. I am going to miss him for the rest of my life. If only his untimely demise could be a nightmare so I can wake up from it... Rest in Peace Voice and Gift of God.
UA-cam has been recommending a lot of Harry Potter clips and I’ve very happily slipped down a Rickman rabbit hole. It’s a strange thing to miss someone you’ve never even met, but that says everything about their talent - you feel like you do know them via their characters. People die every day, to die is to have lived. Sometimes we find out that those who died were awful (Saville), other times (Rickman, Boseman) we find that we had only the tiniest grasp on how kind and loving a person was. Years later and I still miss someone I never knew.
Alan Rickman (THE Voice) played greater roles earlier than in the Harry Potter films... he became int'l sadly due only to US MEDIA & DOLLARS. See him in Barchester Towers... also w Geraldine McEwan! A marvellous British actor. R.I.P.
+ladycplum I'm the same way, i keep thinking that someone will jump out and say April Fool's or Just Kidding. Not a very good joke to say someone has passed away but still.
+ladycplum Right?! Those are exactly my feelings... I'm really really sad... But more than that I feel completely... blank, it's so surreal. So unbelievable.
+monikavec I understand. There are some people who shine so bright, you cant see a time when they wont be around. And when they leave suddenly, it's such a shock. It doesn't matter how young or old they were when they left, they still leave a gap in the warp and weft of life that will never be filled Rest in peace Mr Alan Rickman.
I said this the day he died. As sad as I am to know he was I'll and died, I feel so cheated. We were cheated of all the brilliant performances he had yet to give. I had a conversation with a friend not long ago. We were talking of actors, aging and roles. I said that I hoped Rickman would one day, now that he had gotten to the proper age, do Lear and/or Prospero. Oh I would have LOVED to see him in either. We who love fine acting will miss him forever but, just like Jamie in Madly, Truly, Deeply I'll bet he "still attends meetings."
He always feels like the type of person who should never die.
We didn't lost "a king"! We lost "THE KING"😭💔
Yes!
Malec Magic Really? A king? 😈😈
@@TheKonga88 YES. PERIOD
Yes we did. he will surely be missed. We miss you Alan Rickman you where the greatest of your time and mine.
This is utterly lovely: "There were no hierarchies for his heart."
"We lost a king"
Truer words were never spoken by Juliet
"We've lost our leader"
So, we are all feeling the same way......
bschery yes

I will love him...always
Welcome to the club. There are a lot of us. ❤️🙏🏻
I tear up even now , yet I was never in his physical presence but, he was so very often in mine .
Oh, how nicely put.
Losing Alan Rickman feels like loosing that one distant uncle you only see at family reunions but you can’t wait to see him! U literally only go bc you look forward to seeing him. So very well said!

Truly Madly Deeply was my gateway for Alan Rickman. Still in love with him
Truly Madly Deeply is a masterpiece...Rickman should have won an Oscar for it
He should have won an Oscar. He most of his life was acting in theater, therefore he did not so many movies. Only when he was already older. Anyway he was a wonderful actor.

The voice, accent and eyebrow raise were criminal!
Pulled out the old DVD and watched Truly, Madly, Deeply on the day he died. He was brilliant and what a lovely lovely tribute to this great man.
What a loss for performing arts! 7 years have passed and I still wish I could see him in a new film or play. Shine on, you diamond ⚘
Alan Rickman The best actor I have ever seen 😢😢😭😭😭
This gentleman was an outstanding actor.
She actually sums him up perfectly. My exact views of him. I'm still in shock, it still doesn't feel real
I loved listening to him speak. A fine actor but an even better human being. He will be missed by all.
I've been trying to find the words to describe Alan, and Julia has illustrated a portrait of him very accurately and perfectly. *Juliet
oh, the sound that came out of me when it happened. I was truly in shock. Between Bowie a few days before...oh, 2016, you took everyone I adored.

Truly Madly Deeply, the best movie ever. Juliet and Alan are just brilliant in it.
Rest in peace, Sir. Alan Rickman.
I'm a fan, loved his work for decades. Will so miss him. Can't believe he's gone. Thanks for the interview.
Thanks for your message!
A Giant amongst men. Shine bright Alan, R.I.P.....X

I was shocked when i read that alan rickman had died i loved his acting and admired him so much. God bless
I miss him so much, I think about him every day❤️❤️
Watched that interview over and over. Just such a clear explanation of who Alan Rickman was. Beautifully structured.
"There were no hierarchies for his heart."
Missing his voice and his talent performances.
I am still so stunned.
Such a beautiful and choice blend of words from Juliet; very personal to her soul, yet, I feel, so universal to all of us.
He was a great, great actor. I've got most of his films at home. And I like to see them over and over.
5 years ago today. Raise your wands /*
So heartbreaking a great big huge light went out
He was truly an amazing and a brilliant gentleman.
I can't believe it's been nearly 3 years. We shall never forget him.
He would of been so touched an humbled by all the love he received from so many people... In life and esp death. He will be missed forever
A great loss to the acting community. I loved how he could play a great villain on set, and he was such a nice man in real life. A mark of a superb actor. RIP Alan Rickman
It's May 2017 and still couldn't help crying with heartbroken feeling. RIP Allan

Juliet Stevenson is a great great actress. I want to see everything she’s done. I loved her in Infamous as Diana Vreeland.
When he passed, it felt like someone shot me in the chest. I'm still getting over him. Goodbye, my idol, may you Rest In Peace.....
Always....
Juliet is just too cute. In the end she is fighting against the tears. I am not that brave. Bless her!
Clara Oswin Oswald She is too dignified & gifted to be "cute". Another voice we love.
She is just a lovely, beautiful lady.
He was quite brilliant, both as an actor and in interviews.
He was gracious, generous and kind in an industry full of people who serve only their own vain egos.
Delightfully witty, and with a great presence and a unique talent for being the part, rather than acting it.
It's now almost May & I still can't believe it. Thanks for posting
What a beautiful way to describe a beautiful person.
A great spirit. We are poorer from his loss.

I still can't believe he is gone. Ugh, it still hurts and will for a long time. No actor has ever affected me this way. He was brilliant.
Watch TRULY MADLY DEEPLY scene where Rickman and Stevenson sing THE SUN AIN'T GONNA SHINE ANYMORE.

If you´ve never watched Alan Rickman and Juliet Stevenson in Truly Madly Deeply:
Highly recommended - and on YT !
I will miss him so much, as will so many others. Some of us are raised by heroes, they're all we have. It's so painful when they go.
I loved them is The Search for John Gissing too! Love you Alan... Always ♡♡♡
remember him “always” he is a reason I’m proud to be a 🐍

Galaxy Quest. Amazing actor.
Loved Truly Madly Deeply but it was Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility which made me fall for him
Absolutely.
