  • Girl! Look who’s back with a hair update? Me. Lol. Definitely had to check in with my girls and share what I’ve been up to and how my hair has been over the past few months.
    In today’s video I share a mini review on the viral Color Wow Cream Coat Treatment, How my recent Relaxer Stretch went, Why I switched from ORS Olive Oil Relaxer to Affirm Conditioning Relaxer and MORE!
    If you aren’t familiar with the Color WOW Dream Coat it’s an ultra-moisturizing anti-frizz treatment for dry, dehydrated hair making it silky, glossy and frizz free. It’s also a heat protectant and supposed to last up to 3/4 shampoos. I can definitely say that the anti-frizz lasts for a few shampoos. SPOILER ALERT: It’s so so good! :)
    See you in the comments!

    I would NOT go back to the old stylist for trims! I think it’s easier to “train” the new stylist (with trims) to do what you’d like, as opposed to break your old stylist out of his habit of cutting off too much!

      I went to Super Cuts to get my ends trimmed. The first time I told her she could cut more if she felt it was needed. I was done with those split ends. The second time she actually asked me how much I wanted cut. She was the opposite of a regular stylist.

    I was wondering where you were! First off, you look soooo beautiful! Ok, to business: Your old hairstylist disregarded your very simple request, so please don't reward him with your business by returning to him. You are the queen of relaxed hair, and deserve better. Besides, it's easier to cut a little more than to have to wait months to grow back the excessive amounts of hair he's cut. Also, I don't let them determine how much to trim. Let them know how much you want taken off.

    💜Hi I just want to thank you for all your tips and tricks and sharing all your knowledge. My hair was very overprocessed, my own doing by overlapping relaxer, and I’ve been following your advice with deep conditioning, protein treatments and even switched to Affirm. It’s been about three months now and I see a huge difference in my hair. Much less shedding, less frizzy, thicker and much more moisturized. I use your method of sectioning the hair prior to relaxing and it’s genius!! It’s only a couple of weeks since I first relaxed with the Affirm Sensitive Scalp formula and so far my roots are straight and feel very nice. I use the Affirm Protecto with the Dax and it’s great!! My goal is to grow out all the damaged hair and I look forward to healthy hair. You look beautiful as always and thank you so much!!💜

    My vote is to go back to Great Clips if your stylist cuts off your progress. Guide the stylist and in addition delicately try to ask about how often they sharpen their shears. It's a sharp shear that provides the crisp look.

    I wish I used Affirm years ago OMG I really didn’t know what I was missing! my hair was so dry and damaged from not taking care of my hair and the ORS box relaxer left my hair so under processed on top of always burning my scalp badly I decided to try the affirm system after watching a video of yours and others and relaxed my hair with the sensitive scalp formula a week ago, it immediately brought life back to my hair and it is so soft and moisturized, I used the positive link as a deep conditioning treatment yesterday and I didn’t really have any hair lost. I can go a few days without having to moisturize and seal my hair and it will still feel soft, before my hair would just suck the moisturizer right up and get dry easily.

      @HairliciousInc  7 місяців тому +3

      Wow!! Sis, I appreciate the feedback. So glad you had positive results with Affirm, too. ORS is a great relaxer but I prefer the ingredients in Affirm plus it doesn’t burn my scalp either. Your hair sounds like it’s on the right track and thriving. Keep up the great work🫶🏾💕

    I go to Great Clips as well! I've had good experiences there. They do whatever I ask, and I'm in and out quick. I use Affirm 5 in 1. Different from Aphogee but works great. I'm confused now cos i interchange between Dark n Lovely and Optimum. With D&L my hair gets lighter but when i switch to Optimum it reverts to darker which must mean its not as harsh. My hair is naturally very dark with kind of violet/deep purple highlights in the sun which is why i love Opt. Yet there are accusations that Opt is harmful to health etc. And with Opt my hair length retention is better cos its stronger. What do you think then?

    • @HairliciousInc

      Clarify with a clarifying shampoo (this will get rid of any product buildup), then use a sulfate free shampoo (this will bring back slip and softness into the hair), follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner (zero protein in the ingredients) for 30-45mins with heat. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for about 4-6 weeks to help restore balance💕
