I'm pretty sure my piriformis is at the root of my sciatica pain, which often reaches down into my calf. Your yoga and stretches are really helping!

Nice video, so well explained! I have been stretching the whole butt area for the past two months. Piriformis, SI joint, psoas, etc. It sounds like some of the pain I have could be pudendal nerve. My whole pelvic area is unstable. Waiting for a diagnostic, but it might take a while, so… I do a lots of streches and I love your channel! Have anything specific for pudendal nerve relief?!!!

My piriformis on the right hurts more or less all the time. Stretching the knee across toward the opposite shoulder does not give me a feeling of stretch in my glute, it only hurts my gracilis. I get more stretch with the left leg, but not a lot and it still bothers my gracilis. What am I doing wrong? TIA!
Hi Amy, that sounds like a separate issue from the piriformis pain, which would best be checked with a doctor to evaluate your individual situation. However, the second stretch in this vide, which is focused primarily on strengthening, should be especially helpful because it's strengthening the area opposite from the gracilis. You can also try the follow-along videos linked in the description of this video to help you identify some alternate stretches that may work better for your body. I hope that helps!
