I never saw her look so happy as she did at William's wedding.
William's marriage probably somehow helped to improve the public image of the British Royals.

Catherine has not put a step wrong. She kept her head down for years when she & William were on again off again & the press was constantly attacking her. They called her watie Katie & would follow & chase her endlessly. She could not even hold a job because she was harassed so much while at work. I think Princess Catherine did an amazing job at supporting William and letting the public get to know her over time & now they love her. It’s a job I would never want & I give her so much credit for doing such a wonderful job!!!

I think she knew Kate loved William and not the title, they had waited long enough to be certain they would not end up like Charles/Diana, and she came from a strong family bond. The fact that she had so much respect for the monarchy and wasn't about to throw a fit for the cameras was a plus.

I think it is underestimated just how much time the late Queen bought for the current King Charles to rehab his image in the public's eye. And now that she did, I think King Charles can have a pretty successful reign, whatever number of years he has left.

If anyone is Queen, Kate has what it takes. I'm sure that she has learned alot from the Queen. One day the Queen was leaving and soon as she turned back around, Kate was the only one who did a curtsy. I know the Queen was like yes!, she's got it.

Being the head of the Royal Family may not make you a ruler these days, but you do become a leader of sorts. If the Queen had died around that time and the succession pass over Charles for William back then, I think it would have brought him more pressure than he could handle; he would have been too young. Charles may not have the best PR image, but the man was more than ready to succeed his mother whenever the time came. And now he'll serve his reign for however much time he has, and when the time comes, William will be ready. Elizabeth's long reign really did her family a service, I think, as far as making sure her successors would be okay.
One of my best memories of UK. To see HRH Prince William's wedding live: watching them kiss on Buckingham Palace 's balcony and the crowd going crazy, waving small Union Jacks in each hand, and what not. I am very lucky to have been in London at that time. As I was there for 2 years, I grew quite fond of the Royal Family and the history of Britain. As HM The Queen is no more and it is a sad time for all of us around the world, it is truly the start of new beginning as HM King Charles takes over the reins of the British Monarchy🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
Diana would have adored Kate! Imagine also, how much Diana would have doted on her Grandchildren. 😇🕊

Now that he is HM KCIII, and I personally see that he’s matured much - even from 20 years ago -I believe he will be a stable leader and will follow in his mother’s footsteps. He’s been waiting his entire life to have this role and title. I do believe he is ready, from what I’ve seen him decide on even before his mother passed away.

William had the added pressure of knowing his parents and infact three of the Queens four childrens marriages failed. Catherine was labelled waitie Katie as they courted for 10 years and also broke up at one point. William did not want to repeat what happened to his mother who married at 19 and it turned out to be the right decision.
Before the brake, she was this normal girl. After that she was Catherine. I think she became a Mentor, the Queen herself. Sorry for my english... greetings from Germany
@@madamemim4262 She actually isn't normal. She comes from a very wealthy family and has some connections to royal family from way back. Diana was actually more royal than Charles too. Her ancestors are traced back to Henry the VIII or something. She literally came from an Earl family.

Whilst her father has some links to Prince Philip and links to Royals through generations ago ancestors (as do many British people) they are deemed as commoners. Catherine’s mother Carole is from a normal working class background and was a flight attendant. The term commoner is not to be confused with calling a person common.

I used to despise charles and camilla when i was young. But after facts had been presented, several shows made about their lives, and seeing how hardworking and dedicated charles is to the crown, i feel he deserved to have his time on the throne.

I get that Charles has trained his whole life to be King and protocol should be followed. It's just hard to swallow when you see Camilla next to him sitting on their thrones. The past situation and Diana will always be remembered. None of this would be an issue today if Charles would have been allowed to marry who he loved in the first place. I suspect Charles will carry out his duties as King until he becomes ill or passes.

Yes, but I think you’ll find countless examples of royalty making great leaders but poor parental figures. Not excusing Charles actions, but he isn’t the only Royal to be like this. It’s just Charles, unlike other royals, did a very poor job of hiding his affair.

As there are still so many movies and shows about Charles and Diana, I don't think Charles can get the weight out of him and will be under that shadow forever. The problem is he was still in love with Camilla and had an affair with her while she was still married to another. Diana, and Charles other girlfriends, even knew about his affair with Camilla, but unlike the other girlfriends who left because they didn’t like this fact, Diana still chose to stay and marry Charles because she was overly infatuated with him. This isn’t a case of people falling in and out of life. This story is far more complicated, and people have a right to be upset by it.
Don't have a problem with the divorce, but do have a problem with how MEAN and how cruel, he was to Diana. That's his character. That's who Charles really is!

2:44 it isn't his age at all. Or that the marriage failed. It was his actions (lack of action at times) to another human being who he was supposed to love, protect, or at least had some respect for, and the mistress for her part in it all.
