Welcome to Salfords! One of my local(ish) stations to veg trains! It’s a nice station to spot planes from the nearby Redhill Aerodrome! But the train times are crazy! You can also see planes into Gatwick Airport from Salfords
You could almost title this video “Visiting every station in Reigate & Banstead”. I recall, the first time ever travelling through this region was in year 2000 and ‘Connex South Central’ completely dominated the services at these stations you visited. The Thameslink route either did not exist, or it was a far less frequent service at that time..
The cool building you saw was the royal Earlswood park, formerly the royal Earlswood hospital, where the queen mother's two cousins resided for most of their lives. It was the local area asylum in the Victorian era. There used to be an old convent on the right hand side on leaving Redhill. I also went to school in Horley and currently reside there too.
Great video Daniel, I couldn't help but notice that by accident or design your jacket blended amazingly well with the moquette of the 700's? TfL stealth spotting.🤔 😉.
Loved the Salfords part that was brilliant, great video
