To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch
If I remember correctly, the Cliffs of Dover is the only natural wonder in Europe for Civ 6. I think most people want to see you do a domination victory, especially as Rome. :)
+Todd The Skeleton, Meme Historian It was tons more impressive. If half the entire known world was conquered under one rule, wouldn't that make it much more meaningful than Rome's slow build up? To add, the Mongolian army was not a giant rape army and was a very tactically advanced and disciplined fighting force.
Actually the biggest extent of the Mongol empire was under Genghis Khan's grandsons. Though, to your point, one united empire was not to last given the limitations on communications and their willingness to be, for a lack of better word, "localized."
+Todd The Skeleton, Meme Historian While the Mongols were indeed a rape army; they didn't die out any time soon that's for sure. His grandson Kubilai Khan was one of the most famous leaders in eurasian history and kept the empire pretty well honestly. They say that over 1% of the ENTIRE WORLD'S population is descended from Genghis Khan because him and his children/grandchildren did so much raping and pillaging etc.. across the world that they fathered thousands of children which eventually became millions over the years. In fact, the Mongol Empire lasted all the way from 1206 AD to 1502 AD when they were finally pushed out of Russia after having lost the Yuan Dynasty rule the mongols had over China in 1368 and the subsequent splintering of the entire Mongol horde in 1405 which left Russia as the only place still under Mongol Rule. So if you wanna be real technical, the "empire" died out in the late 1300's AD, but that was still nearly 200 years of rule; and if you consider the empire still alive until their defeat in Russia it would be a 300 year rule!
These are so watchable. I've got work to do and i wish they weren't tbh. Just finished the England TSL and thought 'time to start' - then I saw this Rome TSL campaign. Ah well, this is quality worth failing my A-Levels for.
To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch.
While i do like TSL I have to say I miss you playing on random maps. There are more surprises and challenges (many times) in a random map. Also we get to see diferent civs, I don't think Brazil has popped up in any of your lets plays so far. Besides there are just no enough civs to fill this world. I'll be watching this series, I'm sure I will enjoy it, but I think you should consider playing on random maps again after this. (Since you are always doing two series why not one TSL and one Random?) Anyway, keep up the good work Drew, your videos are always great.
TheScaleless tbh greenland is still a shithole to this day even after hundreads of years after settling it, like how many greenlandians are out there? only like 50k or something like that
22:42 you skipped your range attack (when you move to your city center, even though you move across the river, it doesn't cost additional movement points)
You should've just have planned to conquer Valletta, with Valletta conquered you wouldn't have even needed Ostia as a canal city and could've settled 1 or 2 tiles further east to grab more of the Adriatic from Gorgo. I'd still grab Valletta at some point, taking them would still give you great control over the Mediterranean. As for the Victory, I'd say go for Cultural or Domination.
Valletta could build stuff on Sicily, and if they're close enough maybe even in North Africa. Keeping it would also give you complete control over the central part of the Mediterranean, it would keep Spain and Greece completely separated and might be able to grab some nice deals from them to open seas for them. It would definitely be a limited city though, If Carthage is around then that would be the better city to keep.
To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch.
Drew I can help you get those shoulders of Gorgo. All you need to do is get stronger at military Press. Add weight and get to a point where you can do your own body weight for 5 reps above your head and you will have insane shoulders. Also gorgo has good side delt development so some high volume lateral raises will help you get that width. I been training for 4 years let me know man
Could someone please tell me some mods for making the A.I do their turns faster. I downloaded this mod and in turn 30 im waiting like 1,30 minutes already
Please buy that tile on the east coast of Italy, north of Rome. It'll be be SOME sort of shitty if Athens beats you to it and Gorgo puts an encampment there!
I would like to see all civs random starting locations immortal, giant earth ,random civ, with barbarians I think seeing where everyeone starts and how they do from their locations to win would be fun . prob need to do score only victory but if you think you can do space or culture go for it
Know this sounds weird but go for Australia or New Zealand I'm big fan of theirs!! Not now at first maybe later. Otherwise I think a cultural victory would be fun to.
I guess he is chronologigically correct so far. I do not remember history class so well , what did Rome went after they conquered Italy?, was it Greek or Kathargo ??
But would be fun to throw in some random historical facts, wich Drew just could customize, that would be fun.I don't know if that would be fun for him?
Instead of making the roman empire which wouldnt be special try and make the Holy Roman Empire which would be new get the french and germans to work together
+J Wyman Except it was lol... The Holy Roman Empire was controlled by very pious religious Kings such as Charlemagne etc.. who considered it VERY holy, it was made up of the remnants of the fallen original Roman Empire (and is thus an empire, albeit smaller than the original), and it DID encompass a large chunk of Italy too so is thus quite Roman really; especially since the ONLY reason that the city of Rome itself is not included in maps of the HRE was because Rome and the immediate surrounding area was considered its own entity in these times (i.e. The Vatican, it was just known as the Papal States back then. It was still considered part of the Holy Roman Empire nonetheless though). The only part of Italy that wasn't really considered part of or associated with the HRE was the kingdoms of Sicilly, split into the island of Sicillia itself and the very southern tip of Italy.
You need to own the Mediterranean Sea!! Every. Last. Tile.
Mare Nostrum
haha do you know Percy Jackson?
Taj-Kai Golob never thought I would see the day somebody talks about the Percy Jackson series in a Civ 6 comment section
That Little Cow Perseus*
James Kiosk Percy or Perseus either one is fine
You have Rome, so it's no question. You must go with domination.
To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch
True
ROMA INVICTA
Don't do a science victory! Just conquer EVERYONE!
Thumbs up if u want to see Drew play multiplayer game of Civ 6!
Who should he play that with?
I suggest EnterElysium and TheUrsinus1.
I don't know any other civ UA-camrs but I think a big multiplayer game with a random map would be really fun
i dont think he is good enough for PVP games tho
+SMOOOTH idk I don't know how good he is because I'm pretty bad at civ 6 are their more civ UA-camrs who are better?
Marbozir is Deity civ player.
If I remember correctly, the Cliffs of Dover is the only natural wonder in Europe for Civ 6.
I think most people want to see you do a domination victory, especially as Rome. :)
Yes, I would like that gameplay
lol thats weird
Aaron S The Dead Sea.
Pumpkin Films That’s asian
No there is also the matterhorn
Recreate the Roman Empire and go for a military victory
that will be very hard with 16 civ
It will be a little bit easier with the legions
Or he can do what Romans did, to make these episodes more historical
kostas piou You mean get rekt by barbarians?
tru
I love everything drew puts in the description it is really helpful for new-ish civ players. Keep it up
kind of ironic how its the first ten turns and Germany is like "i have defeated enemies 10 times more powerful than you"
oMG i was waiting for this! ROMA INVICTAS!!!
Build the largest empire in the world and then get destroyed by barbarians
Malkut96 it was the mongols which had the biggest empire.
Shibo Almighty see, not as impressive tho. Wasn't it just a giant rape army that conquered everyone and died within a few years after Ghengis' death?
+Todd The Skeleton, Meme Historian It was tons more impressive. If half the entire known world was conquered under one rule, wouldn't that make it much more meaningful than Rome's slow build up?
To add, the Mongolian army was not a giant rape army and was a very tactically advanced and disciplined fighting force.

Drew you are the best and my favorite UA-camr ever
It's amazing I've been watching drew this long. Wow. Imagine drew still making civ vids
These are so watchable. I've got work to do and i wish they weren't tbh. Just finished the England TSL and thought 'time to start' - then I saw this Rome TSL campaign. Ah well, this is quality worth failing my A-Levels for.
Drew's thumbnails just get funnier and funnier with each series he does
domination victory, give Rome's shine back, conquer the world Drew
22:43 could have attacked with a slinger still... damn it drew
Awooga awooga Gorgo’s shoulders
DESTROY CARTHAGE
center grip trap raises with a bar, dunbell single shoulder press with a 180° twist, shoulder boxes and bent over reverse flys...
For Gilgi shoulders.
I suggest skipping the Americas this time, since you did that in the last video. Maybe you can take all of Africa, instead? :)
Mare nostrum. Ave Caeser!
Domination victory!!!
Always enjoy your Lps...deadlifts & shoulder raises using dumbells will give you Gorgo shoulders (lol).
The way he peeps in in the thumbnail 😂🤣😂😂🤣😂
Gorgo: THIS IS SPARTA
Drew: Sparta? THIS IS ROME
Also Drew: *kicks gorgo with Trajan as Gluteus Maximus kicks Commodus’s butt*
Frick Commodus, me and my homies hate Commodus
dude holy i love the soundtrack of rome! it sonds so imperial
Drew Durnil playing a game !? Wonder what it'll looks like ;)
Go for Domination victory, Drew
Do a domination victory m8
To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch.
COOOL I'll love this let's play
Lateral raises and military press man. That's how gorgo does it.
Thanks for adding the link to the mod, good video!

I'm so happy that they changed the mini map... no more huge white dots
Take a look at Frederick's cloak clasp. It has the Firaxis Logo on it.
i want you to settle madagascar
And Danish Greenmark
i dont think you can settle greenand, as its an frozen glacier in this map
+Random Name Tell that to Peter...or the historical Norwegians...
TheScaleless tbh greenland is still a shithole to this day even after hundreads of years after settling it, like how many greenlandians are out there? only like 50k or something like that
Random Name it's not a shithole
make a new roman empire
Drew, you suck at choosing where to place your cities... Very excited for this series though, as well as all the crack moments that come with it!
Drew, what I think you should do is try to befriend Gorgo and drag her into your wars, you're going for science, let her help you drown Fredrick
22:42 you skipped your range attack (when you move to your city center, even though you move across the river, it doesn't cost additional movement points)
Don’t hate on my friend Fredrick Barbarossa
YES! ROME! FINALLY!
This will be the new best series like if u agree
Domination victory or Cultural victory !!!
At 22:50 you could have attacked with that slinger after you moved it into a city
What does TSL stand fore?
Does anyone recommend this game? Because I'm planning to buy it.
How to make the map like that in true start location Italy is tiny
Drew will you do any LP's of Civ 5 or will you only do civ 6?
BugMan I like civ v more than civ vi
nice so far :-) But wouldn't it be better to turn on quick unit movement?
Does a city need to sit on the canal tile or can you put the harbor there to create a canal?
You should've just have planned to conquer Valletta, with Valletta conquered you wouldn't have even needed Ostia as a canal city and could've settled 1 or 2 tiles further east to grab more of the Adriatic from Gorgo. I'd still grab Valletta at some point, taking them would still give you great control over the Mediterranean. As for the Victory, I'd say go for Cultural or Domination.
FIamestalker Valetta has no room to build districts or improvements so if he conquers Valetta, he should probably raze it.
Valletta could build stuff on Sicily, and if they're close enough maybe even in North Africa. Keeping it would also give you complete control over the central part of the Mediterranean, it would keep Spain and Greece completely separated and might be able to grab some nice deals from them to open seas for them. whats the thing with drowning in the rivers joke? i dont get it
To be honest the only route should be a domination victory i mean rome is built tords that not to mention that a domination victory and a domination victory would be the most fun to watch.
Drew........ There is a Wonder in Europe. Have you forgotten the Cliffs of Dover already?
Robert Gronewold To be fair, The Cliffs are probably the worst natural wonder in the game so I can see how he forgot about them so easily.
I'm late to the party, but at 22:56, you should have attacked with your warriors first and let the slingers get the kill to boost archery
5:44 I don't think it is the alps if it is an earth map...
Upvote purely for the comment on Gorgo's shoulders
Oo Drew could you make the Roman colosm colosim I don't now one or the a their 😅😅
Awesome
Drew I can help you get those shoulders of Gorgo. All you need to do is get stronger at military Press. Can u please make an eu4 ai only with custom nations like the first u did? It would be great
I'm confused. Where did you get the Earth map?
He could throw back to one of his old AI Only series and have a Roman South America
Drew, will you do Rome and pick China series back up at the same time?
Alpha Chinese series is bugged.
i love your TSL but later when this series is over can you do a game on a random map?
wait how do you play with this map?
I tried to download the map mod to play on this map but it doesn't work, anyone know how to get it?
domination victory
why sparta isnt on peloponeso?
you have to recreate trajuns rome, like all the way to haydrians wall and the like
Plz get the hanging gardens at some point. It's just so good, with such a low cost.
Earth map is the greatest of all time
Hey Drew can you make a new player guide for Civ VI?
Could someone please tell me some mods for making the A.I do their turns faster.
I downloaded this mod and in turn 30 im waiting like 1,30 minutes already
Hey man, I know this one's been a while but do you know what settings you were on? Thanks in advance. :)
AVE CAESAR! AD VICTORIAM!
Domination or spaceship (Rome's Atomic Era sounds distinctly Space-Agey), but eliminate some civs either way. :D
Take the Straight of Gibraltar and then set up a Panama Canal city for easy movement.
Have you thought about using the smoother difficulty mod so the AI doesn't have a bunch of settlers at start of game?
I need a professional's help
Should I buy Civ 5 or Civ 6?
No Name Is A Name 6 fucking 6. both suck.
but 6 is acceptable
It depends on what you like. Many people dont like civ 6 for its new complexity and some love it
Please buy that tile on the east coast of Italy, north of Rome. It'll be be SOME sort of shitty if Athens beats you to it and Gorgo puts an encampment there!
Go for the "Roman lake" (encompass the Mediterranean.)
When he says TSL, what does that mean?
Does anybody have a link for the map mod? I can’t find it.
"We will need to rely on our legions and roman baths"(Desc)
One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong...
Settle South America like the ai Rome did in one of your ai only battles
what earth map is this how do i download it?
for sure, domination .. have Rome rule the world.
This series should go well, Rome has never had any problems with Germans.
Trajan reminds me of General Tullius from Skyrim
Go for a historic Roman Empire with a city circle around the Mediterranean
I would like to see all civs random starting locations immortal, giant earth ,random civ, with barbarians I think seeing where everyeone starts and how they do from their locations to win would be fun . prob need to do score only victory but if you think you can do space or culture go for it
Know this sounds weird but go for Australia or New Zealand I'm big fan of theirs!! Not now at first maybe later. Otherwise I think a cultural victory would be fun to.
Because yeah, that's why.
Play as America in a TSL map so you can settle the crap out of the Americas
Apulaite Deity with barely any resources
*E X P A N D*
push inwards toward england follow the true leaders of Rome
Try to do your wars according to which nations rome conquers irl chronologically
So you mean, he will never conquer Germany?
Jonsifan Just try to do so. The situation may not allow him to follow it chronologically anyways. Just a fun history themed idea.
+TOR HERON-BRETT sure but the Holy Roman Empire wasn't holy, Roman, nor an empire.
Ayy J Wyman back at it again with the References
Recreate the Roman Empire + expand it further
