    It’s insane. He consistently hits 1 lateral G in almost every corner. No matter the speed of the corner, he’s always getting almost everything he can get out of it.

    Senna-Schumacher difference on a sportive road car. I remember Ayrton Honda test on Suzuka, fabulous driving but him had the hands wet and taken the steering in the correct position closed on the steering. Michael while take his left hand at the 11 and the fingers open. An very unusual way to take the steering for an professional driver. The my impression is that Michael was much more in relax but at the same time his lines and brutality on the steering when cut the new asphalt is some of very difficolt to explain. He driving at the limit but is in total relax, without any problem to speak like was at his home on the sofa. Is the first i see this video and shit, now i know who is michael: simply the best driver ever lived ..

      It's crazy how composed he is on the limit, Ross Brawn said he had like an extra 20% of brain capacity so he could do other things at the limit. His pole in Monaco 94 he was on the radio all through the lap talking to his engineer about race strategy, unbelievable.

    • @MFUnicornBey
      @MFUnicornBey 5 років тому +10

      Yeah its almost rhytmic how he drives the car, Ayrton was someone who abused the limit to rotate the car aggressively , but the way Michael gets to the limit and holds it from corner entry to exit is on another level. Its an artform.

    What an amazing opportunity. Even then, it would have been so amazing just to meet him, let alone be driven at speed by him on a track. And now, how even more special this has become because of where Michael is now. Thanks for sharing it.

  • @leadlefthand
    @leadlefthand 8 років тому +69

    Michael is just there talking like he was driving leisurely like a Sunday drive. The speedometer was telling a different story, though, hahaha - and that wasn't even driving the car to the absolute limit (for safety reasons of course).

    • @leadlefthand
      @leadlefthand 8 років тому +14

      ***** - For people like you and me, yes, what Michael was doing in the vid is pushing the car hard. But the greatest drivers are always able to find a little something more to go that bit faster (usually in qualifying sessions where they are able to tweak settings or experiment on racing lines based on the data from the Free practice sessions). So it's safe to assume Michael would be able to find about a couple of tenths in his lap time. But because this is just an ad promo where Michael drives fans around the track, it's only prudent for Michael to hold back a little bit. Of course, his definition of holding back already exceeds the limit of ordinary people.

    • @leadlefthand
      @leadlefthand 8 років тому +9

      I'm just saying that Michael could've driven the car right on the very edge if he wanted to. The extra tenths he could cut is enough to make the car feel unstable and rattle normal people not used to that. Of course Michael wouldn't do that. He'll drive fast enough to make the experience exciting, but not on the absolute edge that passengers begin fearing for their life.

    Watch the G-Meter, its damn amazing. 1G is about the optimum for this car and somehow he nearly always seems to pinpoint it. The only time he goes over 1G is on a corner where he uses the understeer through multiple apexes to slow the car down while keeping his foot on the throttle, some awesome stuff.
    Thats F1 Jesus right there.

    Just observing. It seems like he understeers through the whole corner and adds more or less rear wheel slip(oversteer) to rotate the car

    • @Super-Godzilla99
      @Super-Godzilla99 Рік тому +2

      No he overerstears, Michael don't like cars that are understearing, a overstear car means you are in Control and can be faster, understear means you are not in control and the car us slower.
      A driver like him allways overstear because he loves cars that can be driven like a kart.
      That is also the reason car brands make there cars understear a lot so the everyday driver has no hard times on the wheel.
      The everyday driver just lacks skill too drive an car that is overstearing much.
      Even f1 cars since 2010 are build too understear a lot because of saftey reasons too slow them down.
      F1 car's before are more overstearing cars too make them as fast as possible.
      From 2005 on the rules of f1 changed every year too make the f1 cars understear more and more and slow them down. And in 2010 since these rules where perfected.
      Thats why Michael had a hard time when he come back in f1, because the cars are much slower easier too drive and understearing a lot. So his driving style didn't work anymore.
      Before that you can give him any f1 car from every era and he would be fast from the start because the cars where faster and overstearing a lot.

      Schumacher's known for his driving style which involves consistently driving at the around the limit of the grip threshold, oftentimes going just over it but correcting it instantly. This car isn't as responsive as the F1 cars he's used to driving, hence the sliding around.
