I’d been a 14/15 year old in 1977/78 and really into Punk. Ten years I qualified as a Dentist at Guy’s Hospital in 1987 and worked there for the first 6 months of my career.
We used to run an emergency dental service on a Saturday morning and you were there totally on your own, so I was nervous as hell.
About my third ever patient was a certain Mr Glen Matlock, who had toothache! Can you imagine? Newly qualified and treating one of my Punk heroes!
Despite obviously being in pain, he was a lovely gent.

    Gosh what a fantastic interview!!!
I always believe that Glen was the musical brains behind The Sex Pistols. Once he departed the quality of their music capitulated.
Also great to see Steve Blame who presented MTV in the early 90s and lived in Stamford Hill around that time.

And that for me just about sums it up. The Clash went on to make 5 fantastic albums & I think the Pistols probably could've done the same. Bit of a shame really.
