just gotta say this saved me from tearing my hair out, wasted HOURS trying to fix the delay from OBS thinking it would be handled with the sync settings but NO, THIS GIVES ME EXACT AUDIO WITH NO DELAY. THANK YOU
Was looking for the most simple solution without having to buy any more equipment and I found it here! Now I’ll be able to get back into streaming! Thanks so much!
It was starting to really give me a headache trying to figure out how to hear my capture card's audio on my PC instead of plugging it into the capture card directly and nearly having my ears blown out from the loud audio with no way to turn it down through my headphones. Thank you sir for this tutorial! :D
YOU ARE A G!!! I have been trying to find a solution for a month without having to spend a lot of money. Eventually I will but this is amazing and thank you! The sound settings is slightly different on my windows but I was still able to find it easy. I appreciate this! Thank you sir!
I searched for hours for a fix to a very specific problem i head and now i randomly stumbled over this video and with this method my problem doesn't even exist. You're an absolut legend
Just want to say what a saint you are, had to do this way back a few months ago when I first got the thing, everyone kept talking about OBS and all this and that was all fine but not what I wanted, then I had to do it again but couldnt remember how until FINALLY I found your video again!!!
Dudeeee did the fix work good? Cuz I have the same issue kinda like my sounds from my elgato comes out of my laptop speakers even when my headphones are plugged in bro it’s so annoying so I can’t hear anything do yk how to fix it
Thanks that definitely helped. I just had to reset all my volume settings to default. No clue how the 4k capture utility got lowered to 8 but resetting brought it back to normal volume.
Amazing and exactly what I needed. Thank you! I assume when you're done, you have to turn "listen to this device" back off, correct? And just kind of go back and forth with it?
Hey man just wanted to say your tutorials are amazing and a brilliant work around for streamers on a budget. and this along with another helped me Loads!! really appreciate it and truly grateful for having these videos up. Keep it up and Good luck :D
For the past year or so I've been using OBS's built-in monitoring software to get headphone and game sound, but there was always a noticeable audio lag that annoyed the hell out of me. Just tried this out and no audio lag. Thank you so much!
One question, so then while your streaming/using obs if you change your output from the turtle beaches to the hdmi tv how do you hear your game audio through your turtle beach headset while your playing games?
2:30 is there a way to do this without having it reset back to 100 after shutting down the PC? Every time I reboot my PC the next day the volume for the capture card is back to 100 and I have to slide it back down to the volume I like.
i managed to do it but when i record a video and then listen to it the game is too loud , louder than my voice dunno why while gaming its fine the volume level is fine but once i stop recording and listen to what i recorded on obs its really loud
It worked the first time then I tried it next day has same problem. But now the capture card won't show in advanced audio settings idk what to do it's so frustrating
Dude thank you!! love being able to have game sound and pc sound go to one headset, for some reason it stopped working for me. Maybe settings got reset, but culdnt find a solution anywhere. Youre the man
Hey maybe you could help me. The audio from my hdmi capture card doesn’t sound good through my new gaming laptop called “Dell G15 5511”. For example, what I would normally hear from the Xbox, has a slightly low pitch and is covered with static noises when connected from my capture card (not the one is this video) to the laptop. Why does it sound so crackly on my laptop. Here is the name of the capture card from the computer: Digital Audio Interface (FHD Capture) And here are my laptop’s specifications: CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz, RAM: 8 GB, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
Hey man. My audio cuts out in OBS. Its because its also playing through desktop audio and I cannot figure out how to stop it from happening. any advice?
i was wandering the same thing... i tried plugging in my headset directly to the ps4 and back in to the pc to see if there was any noticeable sound lag... fortunately not, well not noticeable at least... but my mind still keeps telling me that there is :P hahah its annoying
Yes, but only a SUPER small amount since windows is a bit poorly optimized I think. it's hardly noticeable and nothing significant so if setting it up this way is convenient for you then it's not really gonna hurt you in 90% of scenarios. There might be a better way though.
