@@fredz8332 Well, you put it in something that doesnt require a transf mounting position ;) The engine way too powerfull for the gearbox xD Put it in some cool project and boly a bmw m50 gearbox to it.
One of my favorite Volvo dealer ship stories was when a tech I worked with replaced the AOC on an XC90 V8 for vibration on hard acceleration. After he got the AOC on but before he put the exhaust back on, he road tested it to make sure the vibration was gone. It was AWESOME - and funny - to hear a V8 at WOT and then see a Volvo SUV ripping by causing all that ruckus! 😂
Sadly it coincided with Volvo's lame age just before they went to only Inline-4 turbo engines, dropping both this and all 5 cylinder ones. Maybe if they made that motor couple years earlier it would've been a thing, before they went back to "safe" vehicles as their only directive again... Its probably to tight to fit the 2.4D/2.5T MT transmission in there, plus all that power and weight on front wheels only isnt the best way to do things. 2.5T and 2.4D fwd volvoes were already quite awful to drive enthusiasticly.
