PS4: 1080p PS4 Pro: higher (don't know exactly), and uses some sort of checkerboarding.
The ps4 pro is running at 1920x2160
PS4 Pro is running in 4K checkerboard rendering. That means reconstructed 4K with 1920x2160 pixels rendered each frame with native temporal AA.

All can tell is slightly smoother on ps4pro on still shots. The thing I was looking for was really fps boost. I say, keep the game same looking at 1080p, and just get it to 60fps. I was *SUPER* impressed with The Last Of Us remastered on Ps4, 60 fps. I really think devs can optimize things to get it there, gameplay is way different at 60 vs 30 in terms of aiming and shooting, responsiveness, etc.

I'm so glad I ended up getting a PS4 to play this game. It feels smooth and looks great! I really hope it comes out on PC so I can play it all over again with over 60fps on 1440P with a mouse and keyboard 😊

Go get a 4k tv and then borrow someone's ps4 pro and try it for a while , you can't see the difference because you only play in 1080p , 4k is 4times the clarity of what your experiencing right now and get a bigger screen since you won't notice much with a 40inch and less screens , go for a 43 or a 50 inch one , black friday is coming maybe you'll get a deal

You have to be at 800% zoom to really notice the extra objects in the distance & the reduced jaggies along the edges of objects. They look virtually the same at regular zoom. At least they do side by side on the phones & laptops we're all using to watch this comparison video..... 4k shrunk to fit in the palm of your hand is not 4k any more. Hell, 1080p shrunk to fit in the palm of your hand isn't even 1080p any more. Presumably you have to actually be using a 4k TV or a 4k monitor to see the difference.

I've been playing on the ps4 for awhile. And upgraded to a 4k TV. And instantly noticed the difference. Then I got the ps4 and noticed the difference as well but they weren't super noticable. For me though graphics are a huge part of the game but not a deal breaker.

Нуууу нет, у первом фрагменте в дали видны тени на pro, а у feat еще не прогрузились+ чёткость у про на голову више(ИМХО).А так обычная ps4 выдает хороший результат учитывая что она выйшла 6 лет назад

@@TheLiamis i tried with hdr off but i love the light effects with hdr, especially at night while the moonlight reflect in the grass and ground (weird to say i know but there is a difference) i know its not true hdr and all and i think it tend to wash out black levels a tad to much but i guess owning qled instead of oled is the problem

For those asking why a lot of games on console are only 30fps, that's because of the cinematic experience those console can run more fps but the games itself is lock at 30fps, consoles are more focus at graphics more than fps as i said earlier for cinematic experience. If you want more fps buy a pc not a console.
For the average person without a 4K TV, 1080p 60fps is where PS4 Pro really shines. RDR2 plays silky smooth compared to the jumpiness on PS4.

Foliage is a bit better, and the game can render thurther, and with less frame drops. Textures are slightly more detailed, but the game looks great anyway

@Eduardo Faria I saw on other comparison videos that the FPS does fall below 30 on both the PS4 and PS4 Pro in the more populated areas. More so on the base PS4. Seems like the Xbox ONE X is the most stable with almost a steady 30FPS even in trouble spots.

@@SzadoB I wouldn't expect devs in 3-4 years from now to try and optimize their games for the ps4, as the ps5 will be the focus console.
However, a game like cyberpunk, which has started development just in the time of this console, especially when they announced over a year before release, that this game would release on this console, it's fair to expect cd projekt to deliver a game that doesn't run like dogshit on the ps4. And they failed.
Now, already they've taken responsibility and showed their commitment to fix it, which is already more than what most AAA studios do (unfortunately) so I trust them to fix it.
So yes. In the near future, not every game can be optimized for stable 30 fps on ps4. But cyberpunk definitely could. Again, just look at this video, or other videos of rdr2.

One thing to consider. Diferences in lighting and some effects are due to the dynamic weather system. So cutscenes can still look different even with a side by side comparison.

For people arguing in the comments, i have tried both a ps4 and a pro hooked up to a 65 inch sony 4k hdr display
They both look identical, when the tv is up-scalling the original ps4's 1080p siganl up to 4k it is 100 percent indistinguishable from the checkerboard rendering of the ps4 pro.
If you want your games to look better, upgrade your TV, not your console

I bought the ps4 pro bundle and a 4k TV. While I was waiting for the 4k tv in the mail I played the pro on my 2012 plasma and I noticed a huge difference on how much smoother the pro played mlb the show 18 then the ps4. But I personally don't notice much of a difference graphics wise between the plasma and the hdr TV. For me it's the other way around. Buy the console and not the TV.

for gaming any decent ( sony/samsung/LG) tv should be a massive improvement over a plasma tv.
the pro doesn't really offer better frame rates, so im not sure what improvements you would be able to see on an old plasma tv, no 4k or HDR or anything?
A good TV can also upscale framerate, which looks great for gaming but introduces a tad bit of latency.

My Sony tv has an animation feature (motion flow). Its like 60fps, same on witcher 3. Ps4 fat.
They look exactly the same. And i mean EXACTLY the same. Check the digital foundry video about technical details. The only thing PS4Pro has going for is 4k checkerboard resolution which is currently bugged and a more stable performance in cities. If you downscale it to 1080p or output it to 1080p, you will get a stable 30 no matter where. Both drop frames in cities, but while the Pro drops to 28-29, base PS4 can drop to 26 or so depending on what is going on. Nothing unplayable if you played the original on the PS3.
The difference betwen the xbox one and xbox one x video were much larger and clearly better. it just tells me rockstar didn't optimize that well for the ps4 pro and focussed on making the xbox one x verison clearly the best.

PC VERSION
It would have been good to compare the frame rate in city areas. I find my ps4 seems to stutter in those places and have a low framerate

DRAGONX it’s not the pixels though, the rendering just isn’t there, which could be partially the game but mostly the system.
I am playing this game on a slim ps4 and so happy with the console. Been running so smooth with no hiccups. Just bought my console about a week ago and I must say so far this is an outstanding machine. This game is so beautiful, with so much detail in graphics and physics.
