I love your videos so much. I was an administrator at a school that was predominantly Arabic speaking so I needed to learn a lot to communicate with my students. This year I’ve been moved to another school which also has many Arabic students but most are English speaking; however their parents may not be. I recently registered some new students whose parents did not speak English. When I started speaking Arabic to the parents they were gob smacked. They then told me that they knew they made the right choice by sending their kids to my school. Then they told me I would always have a place to go if I chose to ever visit Egypt. Your lessons have helped me to communicate with my families and that’s so important to me. Please keep creating your amazing videos. 🇨🇦♥️

I was teaching in Jerusalem for a month and يعني was definitely used a ton! I know some people who use it in between almost every sentence (reminds me of how we say “I mean” or “like” as a filler). One of my favorites, along with حبيبي of course!

Usually because the son is the most beloved Child in most cultures so this shows that the girls are equally as precious as boys and give them a higher status. For the calling children father or mother it’s to encourage the children to address their parents by calling their mother and father. And intern the child will call their parents my mother and father. It’s a term of strong affection and adoration because in the Muslim world the parents are very beloved to the children.

Arabic is one of the most polite and elegant languages in conversation, in contrast to the discursive English language, which uses a huge number of obscene words and expressions, as well as other European languages. Arabs avoid using inappropriate words from childhood and are severely punished by their parents.
The Holy Quran prescribes good speech in every case and keeping the tongue clean from inappropriate words, insults, gossip, rumors and slander.
Арабский язык является одним из самых вежливых и элегантных в разговоре языков, в отличие от английского дискурсивного языка, в котором используется огромное количество нецензурных слов и выражений, а также остальных европейских языков. Арабы с детства избегают использования неуместных слов и жестоко наказываются родителями.
Священный Коран предписывает хорошую речь в каждом случае и держать язык в чистоте от неуместных слов, оскорблений, сплетен, слухов и клеветы.

I'm writing a book with palestinian characters who grew up around the 1910-1930s. And I was wondering if Zalameh (as dude) was used in palestinian arabic back then or if it's a more modern word/slang?
Also when addressing children with the opposite gender, are boys addressed as girls or is it just female addressed with the masculine conjugations ?
Also is "bikafe" (enough) related to kifaya in egyptian arabic?
