I just sold a sweet 1960B to downsize to a 2x12 - and all the builders are booked up for months. Build my own I guess.

I took a much cheaper and easy path;I bought a Line 6 4x12 on sale for 120 dollars, put the missing wheels on,got a white piping cord and glued it on the front edges and made a clay mold of a marshall logo and glued that on.Changed out the silver screws for gold ones and it was done!It sounds good too even with line 6 speakers! I wish I had the time and space to do it up right like you did !😉

Great job!! Can you tell me what the gap measures around the box to the back panel on each side? 1/8"? I see you had strips of wood in each side before the tolex. How thick are those strips? I am thinking of doing a straight front 2x12.
The gap between each unfinished side of the baffle and box?

Nice Job ! I Bet it sounded better since you went with 3/4 ! how many man-hours and $ did you end up spending ? That would have cost you over $500 at mojotone to have a custom job

Probably just a piece of Rolex to act as padding so that there isn't any unwanted vibration from the back of the cabinet..

I would definitely recommend the GT12-75's.

Celestion G1230H Heritage or Celestion Gold 50

Celestion G12m 25 watt greenbacks. Nice job. You should see the Marshall clone cabinets made by J R Sound company. You can't tell them from real ones and neither could Leslie West, Joe Walsh and many other guitarists who used them. Very nice job on yours.

I think you did a great job with limited tools, my only issue is the Marshall logo. Don't use companies logs for your own work, not cool. Create your own logo and be proud you made it yourself. I have no connection with Marshall I should add, its the principle of the thing. I hope you still using and enjoying it.

Not commenting either for or against such things, but your comment reminded me of a picture I saw of the back side of a row of "Marshall Stacks" at some rock concert, where most of the speaker cabs were *literally* just empty plywood boxes. Just dummied up props that looked like real Marshall cabs from the front.
I don't have any idea what concert the pictures were from, but it was good for a grin :)
