Kristin Scott's performance is just incredible. And Gary Oldman, he is truly in his own chips, ice cream and fried chicken coated league. The combination of humour, crime and everyday hardships (even if it's for slow horse spies) is unique. I haven't enjoyed a show this much since Ted.
This series is so 'underrated'...cast, plot lines, writing are just a perfect mix. So many wonderful sub-plots and the great game theory are just outstanding.
Good God! One of the most successful programs Apple TV have ever produced, winner of Emmy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA awards, and you think that it's "underrated"? Please go and buy yourself a dictionary. You either don't know what the word means, or you're just lazily trotting out the current UA-cam buzzword.
Gary Oldman plays one of my favourite characters of all time - who doesn't want to be able to be a grumpy old misanthrope one day, totally refusing to play by anyone else's rules.
KST in “My Old Lady” with Maggie Smith (RIP) and Kevin Klyne a masterpiece in acting. Now 10 years old. Still can’t believe the movie never received the recognition it deserved and Klyne an academy award…oh well ❤
This series is a gem! Oldman at his best becoming Jackson Lamb! And Kristin Scott Thomas? Charming as always, even when she’s playing a tough person. Fife stars!
Kristen Scott Thomas ... elegance personified, as Clarkson commented judge a car by KST getting out of it, if she can do it with elegance, buy the car.
I loved the 4 series on TV, but then I went & read the first 4 books. TV allowed me to visualise the characters, but i thought the plotting in the books was far more grounded & believable than the TV. Either way it's great entertainment, but I still think that The Sandbaggers is the best spy series I've seen.
Archetypes anyone? They are part of the deep, unspoken power of these novels. Lady Di [Taverner] is the flip-side of the original Lady Di. The former is calculating, cold-blooded and unscrupulous, where the former was spontaneous, sensitive and vulnerable. Lamb, on the other hand, is a part of ourselves we are longing to let loose on the world: apparently chaotic, blind, unthinking and invulnerable, he's our Dyonisian side, as is Shirley (only as she appears in the books, though, not the show, unfortunately). We are sandwiched between our Di(e) and Lamb sides, colliding and just longing to emerge. These characters give vent to it for all of us.
1:25 Gary wasn't going to say "cookie". More like something starting with a B..... And he probably would have said "hardass" instead of "tough" if the cameras hadn't been there.
Fell in love with her in Four Weddings and she just gets better and better and more beautiful. Fell in love with him in Leon/Professional and he just gets better and better too.
Couldn’t watch anymore after first episode. This is the second Apple show I’ve seen on ‘far-right’ extremism but they’re strangely silent on Islam. The latter would be far more realistic

Just binged the 3 seasons my gawd Gary Oldman is a boss 🫡😂
Kristin Scott Thomas is one of my favourite actresses ever.
This show is fantastic I’m hooked
Two of the absolute greats. World-class casting I have read every book and will when they have finally finished watch the lot.

@FrancisSiuChock
Same can be said for the book(s) unfortunately. Great reads.

Unfortunately, so are books.

Two actors at their top of the game. Kristin is phenomenal and Gary of course is the boss.
The best show on apple
She's just ice cool, and perfect for the role; a great contrast to Oldman's character. Tremendous television, best spy series in decades.
I savor this kind of storytelling like a first meal coming back home.
There are no finer actors than these two
Beautiful people. Legendary artists!

I just watched Gary in “The Professional “…..incredible! !
Eeeevryonee!!!
Watched all four seasons in two days.
I absolutely love this show
Love this series.
best combo
Thank you for this video
The best show on apple!
KST is such a beauty. Incredible actress, stunning. You can tell I’m a fan.

Best series and Episodes give more with every review! Winner!

Not seen the movie, but KST is still as 'delicious' as ever !! Gary .. .. .. .. he is as always, Gary Oldman !!
Great series.
At 2:36 What's Brian May doing there?
Can some please give the name of the soundtrack/tune towards the end of this clip? Thanks.
Did these guys date briefly? Divine! Like 20 years ago, they’re funny with each other - affectionate but wary.
"they dont like being called rejects, what do u call them, the rejects"!!!!
😂

Did they edit out the cigarette he was smoking?
I love the English accent.
Class struggle as a metaphor for Britain's crumbling.
I wish this was 2 hours long
Justified. Breaking Bad. Slow Horses.
our mom and dad
It is back in Callan territory
FAVS
Kristen hasn't seen anybody like Jackson lamb on her t.v.
She's obviously not watched Porridge or The Gaffer. 🤣
I'm no body language expert, but it looks like she didn't want to be interviewed with everything crossed! 0:38
You’re right. You’re not a body language expert.
✨👍
Tough cookie?? Shouldn't it be 'tough biscuit'??
No
I love that actors seem to think they are interesting people when not in front of a camera! 🤓
Typed by the most uninteresting person behind a keyboard @trevortaylor2403
No doubt this is a really good show... but it's REALLY not the great 'masterpiece' people are making it out to be.
Ok it’s not your cup of tea, but I think it’s a great piece of tv , and since taste is subjective my opinion is as valid as yours.
The show is irritatingly leftist and denigrates the sensible right.
Oh diddums
You sound a bit woke tbh, grow up.
@ look up woke and you might understand more tolerance.
@@fayesouthall6604 not to you ;) using they're words against them.
"The sensible Right"? I love a good oxymoron. 👍
