1500+ yards, PCP airgun bird hunting

Impressive. Which bullets did you use (picture please). I did have some 64 grain 5.7 mm slugs but the twistrate of my airgun barrel was too slow to get them to fly stable even at 329 m/s. Twistrate of my barrel was only 1:14. I suppose the twistrate of your barrel is 1:9 ?

yes you need a higher twist. I have 1: 9. Try lower speeds, maybe the bullet stabilizes. I use our special ATP lead CNC turned bullets. The photo of the shots is in the video World record 1400 yards.

@@AirgunRegulator I have replaced the barrel by a shorter one and I am now only shooting 41.5 grain RWS slugs. Accurate as hell again now :)
