- Jeffrey Lee Pierce playing Hey Juana including short interview by Music Convoy presenter Alan Bangs, 1985.
The band includes the rhythm section of Clock DVA: Dean Dennis (bass) and Nick Sanderson (drums)
'Wildweed' was a powerful and good produced Rock album ! A few funky accents , I can hear . One of the best straight Rock killer albums of the 80's ! Thanks
Jefrrey Lee Pierce earth miss you. Love
I always found this one of JLP's more surprisingly "upbeat" songs. Shame it's not really live, but it's still nice to see him looking healthy. RIP JLP.
That is a really cool bass-line.
I love him already! That answer!!! THE MADNESS!!!! Xo
THE rock'n'roll band of the eightees
This and Straitjacket Fits.
Replacements, The Cramps, Plan9, The Dream Syndicate , etc.
Hat was surreales an sich. Hätte mir damals im wunderschönen Frühjahr 85 jemand gesagt Jeffrey Lee Pierce spielt Playback nebenan am Altglascontainer hätte ich wohl an nen Aprilscherz geglaubt.
😂😆😂
Lve that guitar solo... no handed
Whoever uploaded this thank you
One of the best songs on a great album.
My Rock'n Roll Idol (Rip Jeffrey) and Rip Johnny

You will always be remembered as a legend.

Genius
toujours là
Magnificent - so good to see in clear sharp focus!!
The other guitar player, doing the hammer ons, forgot to string it
I met Jeffrey and the band in Copenhagen go a Long time ago..her was a very sweet man
Jeffrey was smart
Awesome.
God, the Pixies certainly got their sound from the Gun Club huh?
Not too probable
Jefrey with one f?
It would seem so... this is a common comment. One thing bout the pixies was they pioneered the stop/start - loud/quiet thing. Give them that, at least.
@teddy
No, they got that from the Gun Club too. Just listen to "For the love of Ivy".

Corrected x
If you watch other 80's music shows where the bands were supposedly "live" (and there's plenty of these type videos up on YT), they were mostly not plugged in and the band members barely looked like they were playing their instruments, LOL I don't think they would try to pull that off today, though! 🤐
Fab !!!!!!!!!!!
Fan from sista french
dude, i just realized they're not plugged in lol
Jeffrey had a voice like no other. This band sounds great, too. Fuck off to all the jerks slagging this.
Hey Jeffery
Tell Baby Romi
Call Murray the Man
we gonna grab that can
and bring it on home
Call Queen Lucy
and Rollobone Joe
we gonna toss that hoe
and bring it on home
Oh, Hey Juana
what are you gonna do today?
Tell Osaka Jim
tell Kid the Squid
we gonna wig
and bring it on home...
Hey Juana, girl!
what are you gonna do today?
oh, buzz awhile
oh, Que Dice?
Now, Nick the Cave
he spent all his pay
on a bottle of gin
and a shark without a fin
Now, grass that man, suck that can
box that frog, ride that dog
gas that bird, dig the word
Konnichiwa Juana? Let's go home!
Ah, Hey Juana baby?
what are you gonna do today
Ah, Juana, mi nov
Que pasa esta noche?
Thanks!
I can see through ...clearly.
Unfortunately for Jeffrey the madness had evaporated by this stage ..
go encore ce soir du vendredi 21 septembre 2018
On TV? What program? Quelle programme?
Long time ago......
.....but still good!
why does the other guitarist have no strings on his guitar? i guess it's art. no reason to call someone an idiot M>!?
also why is the bassist unplugged and why is the cymbal making noise when hes not hitting the cymbal :0
i mean duuuuuuude how do they even get to the PA, i need to know, did i bought all my gear for nothin ?
I would never have thought Jeffrey would be down for miming , a truely bizarre performance ...
Evan erectus wow
@@mickmangles8000 It was pretty common for television appearances back in the day. It was just something you had to do. No intent to fool anyone, just different times.
Crazy clockdva
That guys hair looks like speed racer's helmet
The Debbie Harry look , he was a huge Blondie fan !
@@berndjenter4005 not jeff, the announcer lol

Delicious
Anyone know this bassist's name? I've followed The Gun Club's lineups since 1981,but I can't place this guy.
not the gun club idiot. jlp quartet. the dude on bass is roland gift.
I meant anyone Gun Club related,Einstein. Some of us are more about appreciation than nitpicking.
Dean Dennis, ex Clock DVA
To M Mckissack:
I've seen you on (almost) EVERY SINGLE The Gun Club or Jeffrey Lee Pierce message board on YT. If you truly are a fan, I've seriously had my doubts the more and more you post as you seem more like a troll who looked up info on TGC/JLP just to seem like you "know what you're talking about".
FACT IS, you may just be a hate-spouting person who acts like he's been there/done that just to get attention. If you really did see JLP and hang out with him and the band-as you claim you have- that is truly amazing but it's such a shame you've had to share your experiences whilst being such a tawdry ass to other fans sharing their experiences/admirations.
Maybe it's time to buzz off and let the real fans who appreciate the music and truly LOVE The Gun Club and JLP talk amongst themselves like real fans do, without HATEMONGERING!
your the idiot if you think the bass player sang in fine young cannibals pal.
This is so The Fall.
Haaaa, looks like sumthin Mark would pull, he did that to us in Boulder Colorado about ten years ago firing the band mid tour and magically forming new group in San Fran that didn't know any of the songs . . . Haaaaaaa
@Rick Rowlinson CM Ha ha - what a rube.
Full playback
no strings, no cables..
If you watch other 80's music shows where the bands were supposedly "live" (and there's plenty of these type videos up on YT), they were mostly not plugged in and the band members barely looked like they were playing their instruments, LOL I don't think they would try to pull that off today, though! 🤐
Do they know what they just saw?
If you need the money it's allright i guess and they didn't lie about it if you look at the unstringged guitar.
What's up with the string-less guitarist ?
lip sync to the album. watch Nick miss the crash cymbals.
What happened to his guitar strings? 😂
Who was the “guitarist” 😂
It's like the band sorta give a shit
He sounds like Iggy Pop.
this is not live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the studio recording! They're lip syncing! Lame.
Guess he has no string 'cause they don't play live! it's just play-back.
Is the bass player from milli vanilli??
Patrick Guitar no. And the bass player is my cousin
First, I beat you Kaylene. Chck m8
rest of the guys are stoked to be miming. haha. not. great tune anyways
Band doesn't look very happy to be there. Jeffrey was probably shorting them on their pay.
The bass player seems befuddled
Genius
