Bahah I did this on a school chrome book and my guts were telling me to put it back to normal so I did so I don’t get in trouble haha

@@clatyra2473 all I did was turn off the lop top and hold ctrl and shift then f1 and hold the power on button at the same time and it worked for me
I have a Chromebook model C202S and yours looked similar so I watched your video. When I tried to enable developer mode it said that Chrome OS was missing or damaged. I tried to do Ctrl + D anyway, and it didn't work. I then tried to do it again after turning it on and back off again, and still didn't work. If you can help to get past that please help. After that I tried to recover chrome OS but I cannot find the small recovery button on my Chromebook model C202S. If you know where that is, please let me know. If you don't, maybe you know another way to recover it?

My house chromebook x360 would not turn on so I tried the recovery I held down esc., Refresh, and power. I got the message to insert a recovery usb. I held down the Ctrl +D and my Chromebook never powered back on. I tried to go back in and use the USB recovery drive and it says that chrome os verification is off to disable developer to turn verification on any suggestions?

Mine had an error so I had to exit, so what I did to get to the starting screen is hit “esc” and then “refresh” then the power button, which brought me back

No, but just log back into your Google account in normal mode and you can re-download your apps or the Chromebook will automatically download them if that’s how you had it set. Cheers, Dave.

Hi. Unfortunately, you can't enter or exit developer mode without deleting everything on the Chromebooks storage. This is just how Google have designed it to be. Don't forget, it only wipes the data and account off the Chromebook itself, it does not erase your Google/Android account or any data and apps that you have in the cloud or the App Store, they are all safe and available for any other Android/Chrome device that you have. Can you make chromebook in to school mode
I put dev mode on my sisters Cromebook and this helped but it has my school account on her cromebook
If you downloaded a game or file while developer mode is on, would you be able to turn it off without deleting it? Just wondering ^^

I went to developer mode and while I was setting up it went back to chrome os damaged or missing....and i was really annoyed
(sorry if i spell wrong)Just turn in on and off alot of times. Turn it off with power bottem and the reset bottem and turn it on normal and do it alot of times that worked for me

My Chromebook is locked from Administrators’s and after os verification is turned off(using power button not shift, it won’t let me) so I hit power button and in doing so it automatically restarts and takes computer out of developer mode???????
