this one hit me so hard linkin park valentine's day reaction
Never understood why people disliked this album. It's insanely great.
It's literally my favorite album by them of the ones I have heard XD All my favorite songs by them are ALL off this album
Deadass, weird. I can see in 2007 people doing the classic “tHaT’s NoT wHaT mY bAnD sOuNdS lIkE?!” but to be so deaf and stubborn to this day is some annoying psycho shit
I love how all of Linkin Park's albums sound different. I appreciate all of their albums so much!!!
I was one of those people who said “this isn’t what Linkin park sounds like”, but I was also like 12 at the time. Years later as my music taste has matured and so have I I’ve been back to this album and realize it was great.
this and A thousand suns are my favorite albums
"and the ground below grew colder as they put you down inside" I always took that as the passing of someone meaningful to chester
I believe his father is who he was talking about.
The hiphop head in you is gonna love Reanimation. What Mike managed to do with an already great Hybrid Theory and a shitton of features from their various warmup acts during the original tour is insane
reanimation is so underated , one of my favourite lp albums
Truth. UA-cam is severely lacking in Reanimation reactions too.
the Reanimation version of Crawling is god tier.
The version of One Step Closer with Jonathan Davis is worth it alone 👍
Man, the Forgotten is so great
my favourite LP song, It's about Chester's father passing away, I would say In Pieces is their most underrated song, the one that never grows old
Wow, I never knew that. Crap. I lost my Mom two years ago, and it's actually her birthday today. It's been rough. I'm going to relisten to this knowing its provenance.
one of my favorites on the minutes to midnight is no more sorrow.
In pieces was 🔥!
@@AmaraJordanMusic I don’t really think it was his dad passing away. Iirc, the situation with his dad is kind of ambiguous. No one really knows for sure if it’s about his dad, but Chester suffered from depression for most of his life, Valentine’s Day was kind of like venting to his fans.
Except that Chester’s dad is still alive I’m pretty sure.🤷🏼♀️
Very underrated song…. Hardly recognized but it hits home for many people in the world
going from No More Sorrow to this is something else. thats why i love this band
Hurt, Loss, Anger. All the strong emotions multiplied by ten.
*"This Album Is Insane!"*
Honestly, so far I have not been disappointed by this album, so let's carry on!! Can't wait till the next song! 🤘😆
I lost my best friend on valentine's day in a school shooting. This song hits so hard for me.
Sorry for your lost man..
@@ryantoussaint7873 thanks I appreciate it. It's been almost 15 years but still feels like yesterday.
@@jonathanblackstone1289 I feel that bro, lost my mom in 2013 so I get you.
Back half of Minutes to Midnight is underrated to death, such good music.
Exactly. I dig this second half almost a little more, because it feels so dang slept on.
If you haven't heard Drowning Pools' "Sinner" then you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD that entire album is incredible from start to finish.
I was going to suggest Sinner as well. One of favorite complete albums.
I second that
The "problem" with this album is: This album came out right after two amazing albums and that made it "unknown/left out". But in my opinion it is the best o all. You could also react to "A thousand Suns" it's a great one too.
Yes. Living Things album is amazing too.
@@user-gu9st4vf1s Yes it is! It's a shame that some fans stopped listening after "Meteora"!😔
@@versaofandub7114 out of the whole mts album in between is the only song i skip
@@Bluedude08 How dare you?!🤣
It's a great one... In my opinion
@@versaofandub7114 sorry, i means its okay in my opinion, but i just think the rhythm could be much better
One of my favorites from the album. It has a similar vibe to My December and it fits the theme of the song perfectly.
When Chester passed I listened to this song because fun fact this was the first Linkin park song I ever heard my sister downloaded it when I was young I had no idea who Linkin park were at all
Linkin Park have a unique sound for each one of their songs which is why they're still one of my favourite bands to listen too and this one is definitely one of many favourite tracks to listen too 🖤🤘
Chester’s voice is so beautiful
Please listen to A Thousand Suns. Robot Boy especially is criminally underrated and not talked about enough.
Yes! Yes yes yes and yes again. Its one of the most meaningful songs they ever made and i literally feel its since the very year i got to know it, listened a million times and its still something different and never ever boring at all
Heart-breaking, yet beautiful song. 🥺
Here’s a tip: whenever you react to a song, have your guitar ready and plugged in and just find the “tonic”. Slide your finger up the low E string until it’s sounds “right”. That’s the key that the song is in. Really good ear training and you’ll hear songs differently. Also it’s a good way to start learning scales and applying them
This right here.
I love every LP album, because its a journey through so many types of music. Well its fcg ART !
I can't wait for you to react to A Thousand Suns.Such an amazing album, the concept, everything. You'll love it 1000% percent
While Living Things comes close, A Thousand Suns is by far my favorite LP album
fr, Messenger, Waiting for the End and Iridescent are one of my top 10 LP songs
I grew up listening to this song since I was a child, it never got old even these years later.
I remeber the exact moment I have listened to this album for the first time… it was 2007, era of small USB players after discmans. I went to school and brought my old discman cause I knew i was gonna go to local CD store and buy this amazing CD on a release day. I sat down outside on the bench turn my brain off and listened to this masterpiece of an album. Fast forward to 2022, I still Love this album but the lyrics hits different since 2017
fav song on the album. You really need to do this for a thousand suns. that one really needs to be listened to in its entirety.
When I listen to this song, I like to close my eyes, not think about anything and just immerse myself in the music.
This was the first album I heard from them front to back, not hybrid theory. I knew a bunch of early stuff because of my brothers. But I bought linkin park cds from a friend. All of them up till minutes to midnight. I got the deluxe version so I have a DVD of them making the album. Very interesting by the way. But this album is gold for me.
Linkin park is a freaking legend. You can't beat it
I can't wait for your reaction to "The Little Things Give You Away". What an amazing, slow building, powerful song to close out such an amazing album 🤘
I got this album on Christmas of 2007, and played it to death anywhere I went! It is still one of my all-time fav albums that you just can't skip! As for another great album that does the same thing for me, it is Gojira's The Way Of All Flesh. Every track on the album slaps, and has some of the heaviest parts!
A thousand suns is an album you should definitely check out as an album, don't skip ANY tracks as an album it stands as one of the best out there
Linkin Park is my favorite band of all time. Thank you for the reactions of their music.
"And the ground below grew colder....as they put you down inside...." That always hit me hardest.
Being a long time fan of Linkin Park since I was in elementary school their music has always spoken to me, reached me in times of struggle and in times of weakness. Often being Hybrid Theory or Meteora. But one that I always listened to to just enjoy or just get a charge when i'm wanting to jam out or playing games, i'd recommend giving the their album Reanimation from 2002. Has some nice remixes of some of their songs as well as a nice change in vibe. My friends and I used to joke how the cover reminded us of things like Gundam and Transformers.
I freaking love this album! and love your reactions to it. really getting into the meaning of each song. you can never regret making a reaction on any of their albums :)
React to “On My Own by Ashes Remain” pls
Chester wrote this lyrics remembering the day of his father death, it is one of my top fav tracks, I stopped listening to it after the death of my father cause I always drop tears when I listen to this 😭
Oh shit... Is simple, i love is song, is só perfect, so good. I love LP,
Dude I totally feel you on being dependent on a significant other. My gf was my source of warmth, safety, happiness, etc. She left me 5 months ago and it's still a struggle. Love this song
I really love this song. I actually wish it was longer. But it almost feels ‘rushed’ because he just needs to get it out 😢💔
And the ground below grew colder
As they put you down inside
But the heartless wind kept blowing, blowing
So now you’re gone..
And I was wrong :(
He sings
"And the ground below grew colder
As they put you down inside"
"So now you're gone
And I was wrong
I never knew what it was like
To be alone
On a Valentine's Day"
The lyrics are pretty brutally clear
"and the ground below grew colder, as they put you down inside"
It is Indeed speaking about death
Every Valentines day never fails.
The last minute of this song is some of the best music they've made
Check out fort minor kenji it's mike shinoda's side project that he had now on an indefinite hiatus
yea kenji is storytelling masterpiece
@@pandaman4321 yeah I can't think of any song that can beat it as far as storytelling goes
I listen to this song pretty much every Valentine's Day since my divorce. The feels are real.
Next album reaction should be A Thousand Suns or The Hunting Party, and we can’t forget about Living Things.
Minutes to Midnight was the first album I bought with my own money (Hibryd Theory and Meteora were given as birthday's gifts ) and now as was then that was money well spend, and I will never regret buying it after that I baught Reanimation, and sadly after Road to Revolution, I haven't bought the rest, is hard to find those disck in my country and more because of what is popular here, if you need to know from were I am, I live in México (Chiapas to be more precise)
This song is one of my absolute favorites. I believe he wrote this after his dad died because it was during the winter before Valentine’s Day. I remember him talking about it in an interview years ago.
Soul ties are the best feeling
This song means so much to me. Reasons I won't bother the internet with. But I will take a detour home once a week from work to the cemetery and sing this to someone dear to me.
This is why they are my favorite band! The next full album review you do should be so Reanimation, LIVING THINGS, or The hunting party Thanks for all the reactions. RIP Chester
Alter Bridge - Blackbird [full album]
One of the best hard rock records of the 2000s.
There's still Across the Line by Linkin Park from the Minutes to Midnight album, No Roads Left by Linkin Park from the Minutes to Midnight album, and What I've Done (Distorted Remix) by Linkin Park from the Minutes to Midnight album.
You should totally do a full Killswitch Engage album, maybe As Daylight Dies (Special Edition) or Atonement!
One of my favorite songs
This is my favorite song from this album.
2 days away from my favorite song on the album, In Pieces 🤩
every time i hgear this i cant not stop crying since ive been all my life alone on valentine day and people that never been alone on that day dont know the feeling
1 of the most underrated LP song..
Loved this album reaction. When talking about Linkin Park songs, I say every song has a "sting". The sting is the most identifiable part of the song, like you brought up in every song 😅😅. Would love a Living Things album reaction next♥️
Common Courtesy by A Day To Remember is in my top 5 albums list \m/
MTM is truly unique and legendary!
Yessss Common Courtesy is amazing! SYTHSYTN, I’m Already Gone, Life @ 11, and Good Things are some of my favorites from it!
can't wait for ''In Pieces'' reaction, so emotional and hits home ...
I mentioned in “Shadow of the day” reaction that my wife passed in January 2023, I got drunk and listened to this almost all day besides songs that reminded me of her. I told my friends and family to piss off that I needed to be alone.
Edit: all day on Valentine’s Day. I got drunk and told everyone to leave me alone and laid in bed all day crying for her, missing her, cuz she left so suddenly. I will always miss her.
LOVE THIS ALBUM.
The rest of the LP albums of course .
3:12 What a sync!
Hi Alex!
i would love your reaction to the hunting party album, some of my favourite songs are from that album
#it's a great song about a person that is all alone....
It hits different 🤘🖤🔥
I love watching you do these full album reactions.
love you man
This vibe, guitar and voice.
Im so happy to see your reaction to this! Its such a beautiful and dark song thats so relatable! And that ending is so powerful and haunting! I love it!
And like always i will be back for the next reaction! Love your vids!!
People would think he says he is without girlfriend on the valentines day but he acctualy lost his father on valentines day so he is alone. I like when they sing about something casual but actully it has deep meaning
Sing in Paradise Chester ❤️ 🖤 ❤️ 🖤 ❤️ 🖤
❤️❤️❤️
Alex loving these Linkin Park full album reactions. Would love for you to cover A Thousand Suns next. Or Breaking Benjamin’s first album called Saturate (Since you haven’t listened to Breaking Benjamin in a while).
Jesus I don't know why I just felt like crying listening to this song..
A THOUSAND SUNS........and you should react to the entire album all at once
This song burns me. I split with the love of my life, very unexpected to me, in a very toxic way in 2006, on Valentine's Day.
I've been a burnt and damaged individual ever since. Never recovered, and maybe that has carried through and wounded every partner I have had since.
More full albums? You have only checked out one song by Bad Omens and their new album "The Death Of Peace Of Mind" is full of bangers + exactly your taste, I know it.
Thank you because videos like this still helps me discover new Linkin Park songs i never listened before, and discovering these gems for the first time still is like remembering and having a new gift from Chester even after he is gone.
I love this album its the first one I bought when I was younger
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf. is a lit full album experience
I just fucking love his positivity and making me love a song, all over again
This my favourite tune when I purchased the Album when it was released in the UK. What a tune
So, it's my Mom's birthday, and she died two years ago. This hits differently. My life finally turned around and I'm regaining my health (i've been ill for 18 years), got married last month. But... I just wish she could be here to see it. She never lost faith that I'd get better.
I love how this song was arranged. You get the "chorus" once, at the end.
yah - this is my fav song off the album :)
(or little things if its playing ;) )
yeah the lyrics in this song are soul tearing, probably my #3 album from LP (first being ATS and second THP).
This is hands down my favorite album. I've loved it since I first heard it when I was 5!!
I love this album, specially the second half.
Valentine’s Day is my favorite song from this album as it has so much relation to me and so many other people
This album is awesome in fact every album is awesome Living Things, Hunting Party Thousand Sun's awesome 👌
My father recently passed away whilst I was miles away and this was the first album he ever gave me. Not only that but he gave me his copy. So any linkin park is dear to my heart.
Saddesth thing about this song is that Chester wrote the lyrics for his father who died on Valentine's day
Ok, so our theme at work is drowning pool, one finger and a fist, motivational, kick ass, fight and claw ur way out music. Keep going tunes. Should give it a try...
You should react to their last album *one more light*
❤️Chester RIP
A very very underrated song. I love it
The hiphop head in you is gonna love Reanimation!!!
