Funny enough that can be taken two ways and I have been lucky enough and on low enough health that when I shot a tank right next to me the splash damage killed myself. So yes one of the few tanks that can one shot yourself😂
I had a hilarious 1-v-1 end game battle with my KV-2 on about 20% health and last enemy KV-2 on 100% health where we both thought we'd be sneaky and try to flank each other around the hill and suddenly caught each other at the corner - but I was dumb and had my gun pointing back towards his last known position while he was pointing forwards so he bounced an AP shell off my turret and I got my gun around and 1-shot derped his ass with HE and laughed so hard literally thinking of Jingle's voice saying "you're doing it wrong". Also after like 1k arty battles trying and failing to get a bombardier medal it took 4 games in my KV-2 I bought just before X-mas with the holiday discount to snag a double-kill and get the medal finally. KV-2 is best artillery in game!
Yes, always shoot the clean straight surface beneath the gun mantlet on cupola (turret). Or the back part of the turret from side (but needs to be like perfect angle - KV-2 needs to be holding his turret at perfect 90 degrees).
For World of Warships April fools event wargaming should implement the kv-2 on a platform with a tug boat attached to it and it should be the most op ship in the game
it would be a tier 2 premium bote, and its armament would be two KV2 guns and a TOG 2 gun for secondary guns. the 152mm would have a range of 6km, the tog2 gun 8km (the 76 on the tog2 has a higher shell speed, but it would be a very flat arc at -7km range) the ship would be a DD, and have 1 torpedo launcher with 1 torpedo on it amidships. the torp would have a 2km range, with a 7 second reload. the ship would go 22km, with a 4km detection range. it would have special MM, and be able to go into divisions with any tier of ship (even t10 matches) the normal MM would be +1 mm the ship would have 20000hp, with 14mm of armour all round it would get a 2min smoke, and a smokescreen with a small coverage and 6s long, but would last for 3min. both of them would get 2 charges (no premium charges, but you can use superintendant to get more) the ship would not be allowed into clan battles or co-op battles. the reload speed of the main guns would be 7 seconds, the secondary 3 seconds. the AA would be 2quad-barreled 40mm bofors guns and 6 double-barrelled oierliken guns. (or however the fuck you spell that shit) both with a 3km range. for its gimmick, it would get a 1 fighter (a sopwith camel) that lasts for 10min, and you cannot increase the amount of planes you get with premium consumables or superintendant. it would be a Russian bote. EDIT: that bote would be a longlasting premium, costing 1000 gold and on sale for 6 months, then not on sale for 6 months, then back on sale for 6 months, etc,etc. the idea peter suggested could definetly be a tier 1 april fools joke. (although probsbly not the most op ship in the game- but definetly able to hold its own at tier 1)
Would be a nice event but the guns on even tier 1-2 ships in World of Warships make the T92's 240mm cannon, the most powerful cannon in world of tanks to ever exist, far more powerful than the 152mm, the KV-2, look like a water gun. Shooting at ships, even the tier 1's, with the KV-2 152mm would be like tickling them

i still find it astonishing at points in a game where 2 people have 12 kills between them and their team is so unbelievably shit that it's still a close game
If the team was better there would be no video because he wouldn't have had a chance to kill that many tanks. Any time i have a high kill game my team is shit, it's the only way it can be.

Jingles laugh as got too be the best thing ever, honest to god no matter how bad things are or how bad a day i'm having just hearing that laugh makes the day a whole lot better.
I remember when you could sit a kv2 up on a hill, fire in the enemies direction without any targets visible and still be able to pull off a one-shot. Even had a match where another KV2 with the long "sniper" gun went to brawl in the center of the map while I sat on a hill near the arty and sniped with the 152mm, sadly I still beat him on kills and xp.
I always love platooning with my brother and friend in our KV-2's....Triple Dollop of Derp.... If you ever see a good derp platoon work, it is high-explosive poetry in motion :D
another good counter tank to the T5 KV was the old SU-85, with the same 107mm gun and 300 alpha damage. with good camo and better gun handling being able to reliably kill KVs in 2 shots was great

I remember Jingles using 1 short part of a replay i send in. Going at full speed in the KV2 while an ELC amx was 450meters away and going full speed. Aimed in the general direction without even zooming in and 1shotted him. Laser guided missiles come out of a KV2

Jingles there was one more OP tank at tier 5 that could deal with no matter what then. It was Su 85 with long 107 mill naval gun that did 300 damage per hit and 166 penetration.
Good old days. I wish my old replays worked. I had one saved where I rolled up on an IS-3 and got lucky. Dropped an HE shell in the driver port for full damage...man it used to be awesome.
Bounced of a KV2 shot the other day, 700 potential damage...I was in the british Matilda! Then I put a couple of rounds into him...he shot the dirt in front of me...and I put another couple of rounds, about 550 damage total before he ran away! Loved that moment! Love the Matilda...

I remember the KV and the nightmares it caused. I had just started playing and my first line was the US medium tank line I rapidly got to the M4 Lee and then every single match 5+ KV's on the enemy team practically invulnerable to the standard ammo and could one shot you with a near miss (gold ammo was only available with gold back then). Getting the M4 Sherman wasn't any better since then you got into tier 8 matches way too much and Ferdinands everywhere (back then the 4 tier spread was still around).
There are cases for sensible KV-2 paddlins. Whilst driving a T-150 i drove willingly and knowingly side on past a street holding a reloaded KV-2. The case was that my T4 and T5 medium tank buddies were afraid of the single KV-2, and waiting for someone stupid enough to take the hit. Considering the Heavy spall liner and 90mm of side armor i felt somewhat confident to take the KV-2 hit on the chin and join my T4/T5 medium tank buddies in sending him back to the garage.
Damn, I remember fighting KVs in my M3 Lee trying to get my T1 Heavy back in the day. Did best by ramming them against something so they were pinned when I died (since back then you couldn't move dead tank shells). At least gave the team enough space if they couldn't see the cap to win that way.
You are correct Jingles. Had the PZ IV back in 2011. Was able to pull victory from the teeth of the rusky bears even on 4 vs 1 battles :) I will remember specific battle at mountain pass until dementia hits me. While I was still a noob...... Shame they nerfed the poor PZ IV to oblivion the recent years. Was a very good machine
A 152 mm howitzer!!! Jingles, when I was in the my country army I saw what a shell of this russian monster can do to a ground - you can bury a light tank in it. I Cannot imagine what tank can withstand a hit from this thing.
I used to hunt KVs back in the day with my tier IV T-28 with it's 85 mm gun. Everyone knew it was a crappy tank, so you were never high on the priority list and could usually pick the KVs apart before they realised what was going on =P
Don't forget the KV2 also had HEAT ammunition at one point as well for the 152mm, just for those times you really needed to instantly delete Tier 5s, regardless of armor, and smack the crap out of anything higher tier.
The beginning of this match just hits me with one thing that I always get when I see one particular vehicle in World of Tanks... "Why is that T28 entering battle with its outer tracks removed for rail transport?"
Jingles you forgot the other big counter to the KV at tier 5. The SU-85 with the 107 ZiS-6S. A gun that 2shot KVs mounted on a platform with amazing mobility and camo.
What Jingles seems to forget is back when the KV2 was part of the KV upgrade line that most everyone hated it and for good reason. Not only did the gun load slowly the tank itself was slower than it is today. Back then people knew how to fight against it. Waited for it to fire, track it, and then pummel it with everything including arty and back then arty was not only very powerful it was also much more accurate. Arty was considered god like in performance. Back then many people hated the KV2 because it wasnt a good tank.

I remember one battle in KV, I was using the 107 mm gun and I got thrown into Himmelsdorf. I was top tier and the only tier 5 tank in my team, the enemy team had one tier 5 and it was the mentioned Pz 4. The rest were tier 3 and tier 4. Like shooting ducks in a barrel, those poor things never had a chance. I rushed (if you can use the word rush with KV) the alley and just killed everyone with one or two shots... I felt so dirty afterwards...
And Jingles. You forgot. If a team had a Churchill III back in the day. Those things could take out KV's quite easily. KV couldn't penetrate a Churchill frontally. So he had all the time in the world to put that machinegun of his to work and take out the KV before it could reload.

400m view range, a 76 mm gun with 14 rounds a minute and 120 mm pen, combined with a 60° gun arc.

Sleep is COMPLETELY overrated when a Jingles vid pops up on my Subs list at 0344 hrs.... gotta get my daily Jingles dose when I can! Plus, that soothing Northern English voice lulls me right to sleep when bedtime finally beckons.
Never liked playing the KV2 with the 152mm. But the 107mm that was fun. Miss those days. 4 tier spread. Nothing like being in a kv2 or mkiv and playing against IS4!!! The good ole days

Jingles there was one more OP tank at tier 5 that could deal with no matter what then. It was Su 85 with long 107 mill naval gun that did 300 damage per hit and 166 penetration.

Good old days. I wish my old replays worked. I had one saved where I rolled up on an IS-3 and got lucky. Dropped an HE shell in the driver port for full damage...man it used to be awesome.

Bounced of a KV2 shot the other day, 700 potential damage...I was in the british Matilda! Then I put a couple of rounds into him...he shot the dirt in front of me...and I put another couple of rounds, about 550 damage total before he ran away! Loved that moment! Love the Matilda...
Still wondering that Stalinium on the KV2 can bounce just about anything including APFSDS from a M1A2-SEP at point blank range? And OFC aiming is for other nationalities. Hand of Stalin guides the meteors launched from the KV2 hellhammer cannon.
I love my KV-2. You can't get the feeling of just pure power from the 152mm in any other tank. Even the t49 isn't the same.

(I just remembered the "reliable comrade" phrase (頼れる同士) in Girls und Panzer, and then Jingles' intro in one of his KV-2 videos, and this popped into my head in the voice of Michael Buffer...)
I remember the KV and the nightmares it caused. I had just started playing and my first line was the US medium tank line I rapidly got to the M4 Lee and then every single match 5+ KV's on the enemy team practically invulnerable to the standard ammo and could one shot you with a near miss (gold ammo was only available with gold back then). Getting the M4 Sherman wasn't any better since then you got into tier 8 matches way too much and Ferdinands everywhere (back then the 4 tier spread was still around).

There are cases for sensible KV-2 paddlins.
Whilst driving a T-150 i drove willingly and knowingly side on past a street holding a reloaded KV-2. The case was that my T4 and T5 medium tank buddies were afraid of the single KV-2, and waiting for someone stupid enough to take the hit. Considering the Heavy spall liner and 90mm of side armor i felt somewhat confident to take the KV-2 hit on the chin and join my T4/T5 medium tank buddies in sending him back to the garage.
I don't often have time anymore to watch many Jingles vids, but I will never miss KV-2 replay!!

Damn, I remember fighting KVs in my M3 Lee trying to get my T1 Heavy back in the day. Did best by ramming them against something so they were pinned when I died (since back then you couldn't move dead tank shells). At least gave the team enough space if they couldn't see the cap to win that way.
You are correct Jingles. Had the PZ IV back in 2011. Was able to pull victory from the teeth of the rusky bears even on 4 vs 1 battles :)
I will remember specific battle at mountain pass until dementia hits me. While I was still a noob......
Shame they nerfed the poor PZ IV to oblivion the recent years. Was a very good machine

A 152 mm howitzer!!! Jingles, when I was in the my country army I saw what a shell of this russian monster can do to a ground - you can bury a light tank in it. I Cannot imagine what tank can withstand a hit from this thing.
I used to hunt KVs back in the day with my tier IV T-28 with it's 85 mm gun. Everyone knew it was a crappy tank, so you were never high on the priority list and could usually pick the KVs apart before they realised what was going on =P

Don't forget the KV2 also had HEAT ammunition at one point as well for the 152mm, just for those times you really needed to instantly delete Tier 5s, regardless of armor, and smack the crap out of anything higher tier.
I'm a simple man. I see a Jingles video with KV-2 as the thumbnail and I immediatly yell "yessssssss".
The beginning of this match just hits me with one thing that I always get when I see one particular vehicle in World of Tanks...

Actually Jingles, the repaly of a kv-2 in a tier IX battle was due to a platoon between a kv-2 and a tier IX.
Got a bombardier in a KV-2 a few weeks ago, T-28 Proto was on his side and an amx 13 75 next to him

Jingles you forgot the other big counter to the KV at tier 5. The SU-85 with the 107 ZiS-6S. A gun that 2shot KVs mounted on a platform with amazing mobility and camo.
Now I've watched this 3 or 4 times :) I still laugh hard at the "bad" jockes still whole heartedly.

What Jingles seems to forget is back when the KV2 was part of the KV upgrade line that most everyone hated it and for good reason. Not only did the gun load slowly the tank itself was slower than it is today. Back then people knew how to fight against it. Waited for it to fire, track it, and then pummel it with everything including arty and back then arty was not only very powerful it was also much more accurate. Arty was considered god like in performance. Back then many people hated the KV2 because it wasnt a good tank.

I remember one battle in KV, I was using the 107 mm gun and I got thrown into Himmelsdorf. I was top tier and the only tier 5 tank in my team, the enemy team had one tier 5 and it was the mentioned Pz 4. The rest were tier 3 and tier 4. Like shooting ducks in a barrel, those poor things never had a chance. I rushed (if you can use the word rush with KV) the alley and just killed everyone with one or two shots... I felt so dirty afterwards...
And Jingles. You forgot. If a team had a Churchill III back in the day. Those things could take out KV's quite easily. KV couldn't penetrate a Churchill frontally. So he had all the time in the world to put that machinegun of his to work and take out the KV before it could reload.
