Nice to hear you are well again. I follow Dr. Alexander Clarke's history Channel ACnavalhistory, and he came with an explanation to how you can dine a ship being a battleship or battlecruiser. What defines a battlecruiser isn't the calibre of the guns, the armour, the size or even the speed. It generally comes down to the internal construction, the space between the frames tells a lot. The frames sits closer in a battleship. Structural frames are stronger and survivability generally better. Scharnhorst was classified by the germans as a battleship, with a battleship hull, although a Light one for its time. And with Light guns, reason is not to alarm the Western Powers too much. Hood had greater armament, same armour thickness as the Queen Elizabeth class, but with a longer hull and weaker frames.

The British went with battleship caliber guns on a hull with less armor than a battleship, and the Germans went the opposite by putting sub-battleship caliber guns on a battleship hull. Scharnhorst does indeed have thicker armor like a battleship but uses 11in guns long after the 12in gun had been considered the minimum for a battleship, as well as at a time when the most common low end caliber was at about 14in for battleships. So by this logic, Scharnhorst is very much a German style battlecruiser. Edit: Also that Gade might have lost internet connection which still sucks but it means they might not be a scrub.
Well, fwiw, the Royal Navy classified Scharnhorst and Gneisenau as Battlecruiser, and only after WW2 re-classified them as battleships, but even then, the confusing naming lived on. FYI, Jingles...the proper path to a German secondary battleship captain is to take the extra range and then the extra accuracy on the secondaries FIRST.
You don't run into real fire breathing cruisers that you need FP against until the Gneisenau.
I like to think of Dead-Eye as a nice-to-have in case the opportunity presents itself to use it. I've gotten mixed results with it myself. I didn't let it change the way I play, either.
Unfortunately not true for 85% of the playerbase ^^
@@ainumahtar Ain't that the fuckin truth.
RE: Torpedoes -- I'd say Val's generous use of the WASD h4x didn't help enemies with landing torp hits either :)
That's how it is - you dodge the torps and they are dead. Or don't and die. IMO, that's the real skill you need to train, and it only comes from playing a lot of destroyers and fast cruisers and getting WASD enough to pull it off. I see two types of Scahrnhorst players - the WASD h4x angling armor types and the yoloboat ones who die. The skill floor on it is unfortunately a bit higher than what most "battleship" players are used to.
Haha rudder shift mod go brrr
At the end of the video I think the word you're looking for JIngles is: "Tadaaaaah!"
I just clicked this video to see if jingles is okay, now I can resume the video
Surprised that you didn't play the Space Battleship Yamato theme there. "What the Entire Enemy Fleet is in front of us, right then, full ahead. FIRE."
ah yes, the best way to play the scharnhorst. and the gneisenau for that matter
Can't believe Jingles missed the Pain Train in chat at 12:11 -- hilarious.
Jingles, you mean being held together with duct tape and bailing wire as done in America
The Scharnhorst is my favourite and most played ship and I have never ever used concealment expert on it.
Dear God these videos kill me with how much I gotta learn with this game now,
I never finished learning tanks 😆
9:33 "The ship is currently held together by *masking tape and promises*..."
You have a funny way of saying "duct tape and prayers", Jingles. 😄
"Brawling ain't dead" would have been a nice title
Hi Mighty Jingles, we LOVE YOU! Stay safe, stay cool! Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic!
I keep coming back to this video it’s so dam funny
It's clear you enjoyed you laughed a lot :D And yeah so did I. Very fun video. No cv more fun indeed. I'm surprised about the exp that was earned. Isn't it low for that performance?
He mostly dealt damage to lower tiers and only one DD, so the damage he dealt was not very XP heavy.
Good to hear You again mate ! Stay safe, stay health ! :)
I swear to god, if you call the Scharnhorst a battlecruiser one more time, I *will* sabotage the salt mines.
Don't let us poor souls mining in debt to our Lord thy mighty jingles die in those mines because you decided to sabotage this said mine.
Sounds like an excellent recipe to receive a close range shotgun blast to the back of the head.
Thanks for the video Jingles.
the magic of being top tier
Recover from jet lag?
Nah jingles time
That was entertaining.........Great narration Jingles
This game has a conspicuous absence of fun police.
The thinking man’s action game
