I personally see it as an anime game, as well. The way in which the combo strings work. You can basically correlate V-cancels to Rapid and Roman Cancels from BB and GG. I do agree, though. (Although you can argue this as SF4 FADC) All SF games I've played (That being 4 and 5) were both heavily based in fundamentals. That doesn't seem to change all that much. What changes are the roster and the game's universal mechanics, it seems. As in 3S had parries, 4 had Ultras and FAs, and 5 has the V-system. Plus, random side note, people were complaining about the damage in SF5, whilst this increases damage for everyone by a lot, why do I not see complaints about this?
I personally dont think combos need to be that fucking long, but there are a lot of good ideas here that Capcom should steal (hopefully givng you guys credit where its due).

You are wrong, Capcom know how to solve all the shit laying in SFV but they want the game to be noob friendly, easy for new players and hard for pros, to please all those stupids saying they hate how more skilled players defeat them or saying they are bored than the same players(the most skilled players) always win the tournaments(as pros deserve). The trow loop is the most obvious proof, is easy to solve it, just make a could-down to grabs, but that could make the guessing game easier and aggressive players get it harder to be ENTERTAINING, defensive players are boring so Capcom need aggressive players to have advantage.

However, even if Capcom changes the core game to resemble the mod, the graphics will still be subject to scrutiny as it's (SFV) visuals doesn't fully utilize the power of the PS4 unlike other fighting games, such as Tekken 7 and Virtua Fighter 5 (and I just remembered Dead or Alive 5), that perform in the greatest resolutions and framerates possible to deliver the ultimate fighting game experience.
Everyone talking about 2 touch kills and overkill combos ect are forgetting the exhibition was demonstrated with both meters full. You don't just have unlimited combo metre all game. This looks amazing!

its really cool for the player to be able to showcase their combo skill, but makes the game look more like MvC, the combos go on for too long for the player receiving the combo. the problem is "how does the player receiving these extra long combos, break out of it?" you would need some option to escape such as: Air Parries like in 3rd strike or Air Tech Flip like in Alpha which could become available after X# of juggle hits and/or damage done. for as technically accomplished as this Mod effort is, im surprised it didnt occur to you.
i dont care about the amount of meter, timing windows, nor skill req to execute. i care about how it feels to receive the combo and what options are present to break out of it. it takes tremendous skill to do infinite juggles in the MvC games; and these combos shown look very skillful as well. but it 100% sucks ass to TAKE an infinite combo; once it starts, the game is basically over, you might as well go make a sandwich and relax. there is a maximum amount of time where you're not able to do any inputs which have an effect on the gameplay, and its directly proportional to my patience to keep playing.

The juggles make the game fun and the scale is fair. Ex commands have inv frames is cool but lauras may b od since it moves foward. Think u can add another defense option that's more technical? I know parry is played out but that shit makes it so technically impressive. I would make it more frame strict like in CVS2. If that's too much, then the parry can just push the opponent away instead of gaining advantage to attacking. Creates a cool risk reward! Let me know how far you're willing to work with this version. I'd love to have the guys play with this. Who knows, maybe this can be featured at a tournament

there is no way in hell you can get a 50% meterless, and no, there is no ToDs and if one gets discovered we find a way to remove them.
