Looks like it could obstruct the airbag in the event of an accident.
It's mounted against the windshield behind the rear view mirror so it shouldn't cause any issues
@@tayloradventures My bad. I thought there was an airbag in the a pillar and the wire was looked over the top of it. I see there isn't now.

Did you buy a longer wire ?
No, this is the wire supplied with the camera. Just about the perfect length with just a little extra to spare.
You went to too much trouble. Just run the cable straight down to the power connection.
