Racing side by side, topped out down dirt roads looks like a blast.
I got out of power sports for about 10 years and just got hooked again last year. I am shocked at how many models of legendary ATVs have been discontinued. Super cool video ! Both of those quads are killers.

Banshee all day there's a lot more factors when it comes to that Banshee it's carbureted fuel air screw needs to be adjusted for optimal AFR every time you want to really put the power down as well sounds like it's running a little Rich to me

You gotta open up that banshee bc it has much more potential. Btw a raptor is much faster than a banshee bc it has all the torque and a modernized frame/suspension (if there stock)

Nice runs. Seeing how quick the banshee went past the 450 top end , you're probably maxing out around 70-72mph. Seeing that it is a MX edition, it may have like a 13t front sprocket to give it that acceleration.
That's a very good point! I'll have to mess around with sprocket sizes.

Hard packed gravel roads don't provide enough traction to show either of those quads acceleration potential at lower speeds.
Rider skill, gearing and the tires throw in a lot of variables. Drop a few teeth on the rear sprocket of the 450 and line them up on pavement, you'll see why you can't spell Banshee without she.
There isn't any hard packed gravel for the first 1/8 mile. After that it is hard packed limerock.

The guy riding the can am first then switches over to the banshee just clearly likes the can am better and it cracks me up watching the very first race when he switched to banshee because he didnt try to win at all and said yep no comparison after they ran it that first time lol and i just knew he was gonna say that. Lol i dont mean anything bad at all i just wanted to point that out because it was cracking me up lol! But i dont blame him that CanAm is one bad mama jama!
I'm power shifting on the Banshee and hitting the shift points just right. So I'm not really sure how I could accelerate any faster to prove to you that I was not being easy on the Banshee to make it out for the Can-Am to win.
I just got a 08 can am not stock and I yet to hit 5th gear like insane nutty I can’t wait for it blow up gonna send it out for crazy build I was a Honda 450 guy never going back can am ride says it all lol 😂 bad ass

LOL this is funny I've owned every single quad you got the Raptor with the big three the xmx and the Banshee with T5 pipes pod filters 28 mm flat slides vforce reeds 4 degrees timing and the Banshee is faster than them all the Raptor was definitely faster than the xmx just didn't handle as well even after I put long travel on it ergonomics are way different but the low-end torque of the Raptor crush the canned ham I only use my xmx through the trails Great handling quad definitely not pipe Banshee or Raptor fast

A stock Banshee on a fresh rebuild only makes 34hp at the crank, that's trash for a 350 twin 2 stroke.
250f dirt bikes are making 40hp or more while being almost 200 pounds lighter.
If they raced on pavement and the 450 dropped a few teeth in the rear it's obvious which one would win, and the DS450X doesn't even have a strong motor for a 450.

Completely stock Banshee? The stock pipes and air box are highly restrictive. The stock jet is a 200. Pipes and air box bump the main jet up to like a 300. Not saying that a modified Vs Stock is fair. But Yamaha did mess up on the air flow on the Banshee. Pipes and an air box Delete are pretty much the first mods to a Banshee. That and the TORS delete.
Build the banshee to a 421 cub and dune port it and see what happens

I bet you have a lot of work done to the 450 though because my stock Raptor was faster than a stock 450.

Normally they hit low to mid 70s in my experience. My 450 hits 98mph according to satellite but it's a dirt bike.
