That role really took a toll on LaKeith and you can see and hear it when he talks and his demeanor in this interview. He went to a therapist that's how much playing William O'Neal took out of him. Powerful performances from the cast and great movie that needed to be seen and heard today as it needed to be heard then for our people.
David, Lakeith, Jesse & Dominique all did an _incredible_ job! This is the Fred Hampton movie I'd always hoped for, and knew would almost certainly never get made...
I always see Jesse Plemons explaining his GAME NIGHT Pictionary drawing: “It’s me. Crying at THE GREEN MILE…” That and the blooper role of him vaulting cop cars: LMAO. Yet he’s a fine dramatic actor (and doesn’t jump any cars here).
What's the big deal about playing a snitch? It show's your craft as an actor. Denzel played the bad guy, do that makes him now a bad person? Actors act but it doesn't define who they are as a real person. It's a movie that all. Why every time a black movie comes out people make a big deal or fuss as if blacks can not do it or act as an actor?
Denzel’s role was a fictional character. Lakeith’s role was for real. This character was responsible for the death of a Panther along with other Black people.
TheCakesterRides it’s hard to picture him playing Fred after I watched the movie 3 times..I get what you saying by lineage since Daniel Kaluuya from the UK..I even went back and watched some Fred Hampton interviews, and they got got the right one to play him, he was spot on
Lakeith is still feeling it he even had to see a therapist, u can sense that by his demeanor, must be crazy much love, he is truly strong
@Cliff Byrd i feel you but Jesse didnt have to go through therapy after his role
@Cliff Byrd ahhhh i understand 💯💯💯💯💯

Everyone did an amazing job, but LaKeith's performance 🤯... he was absolutely outstanding!

Lakeith did an awesome job. Hope he didnt let the role get to his head.
It did but he has gotten help
Lakeith was amazing. Hope he’s well.
Thank you so much for sharing this conversation! 🙌🏾💥🙌🏾💥🙌🏾
Amazing movie and performances. Btw the interviewer has a rocawear shirt didn’t know they make them anymore, that’s dope.
Jesse Plemons is underrated
I thought the actor who played the FBI agent was Matt Damon

Cannot wait to see the final project!
No pigs have watched this so far
The people that need to watch it the most, unfortunately won’t.
Of course plemons is cold... THATS TOD
FBI guy Roy wow-yes you played an absolute slime ball very well
HE LOOKS LIKE MATT DAMON
This movie managed to make Todd Alquist the second most evil character Jesse Plemons had ever played.
Good interview 👍

@@liznick9901 now i feel bad for bruno ganz
Lakeith should have been Fred Hampton 💪🏾❤
Honestly they couldve switched and both have played the role exceptionally but daniel had me sold
Hell nah he was great at his role, he too skinny
@@jj89867 by that logic Lakeith should've played Fred because the look similar (skin tone, beard, and lineage).
