We just love this guy and his amazing voice! I can only hope he sees my posted videos from this show (I have others) and I can talk with him some day, my wife and I would love to meet him!
Here's Wendel Adkins performing at GILLEY'S July 3, 1982 with the Bayou City Beats band! Rescued from original U-Matic 3/4 inch videotapes - all that survives are 2 "timecoded" tapes (hence the running number code on the screen). This clip is from the multi-camera tape. "Mommas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" and then "Mommas Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up To Be Babies"!! Enjoy the clip! Long live Mickey Gilley!

This is a treat for me! I’m 68 years young! I live in Atlanta,Ga Used to go to concerts at the Great Southeast Music Hall here. Saw David Allen Coe there many times. He had Wendall opening for him and it was an awesome show.He sounds a lot like Waylon Jennings to me . Thanks for posting! Great memories for me!
