Life was so much simpler then, wish it was 1980 all over again.
I am 24 born in 98, watching urban cowboy reminds me a lot of my childhood in Houston. The houses or even the how that’s how most of Houston used to look like
The Urban Cowboy Movement shaped and molded Country Music into something truly unique and special.
Urban Cowboy never gets old one of my favorite movies
Mickey Gilley , Rockin' The Great Gilley's in The Sky.....
Play on...... 5/7/2022
I went to Gilley’s one night during the height of the “Urban Cowboy” craze. I remember that it had just rained and the parking lot was full of giant water-filled potholes. Once inside, the place was crazy crowded. Their men’s bathrooms had long urinals. I remember standing next to one guy who was from Australia and on the other side of me was a guy from Britain. The dance floor was so large that during a slow song you might only make a complete circle once before the song ended.
Please post positive proof pronto

Such sweet heart I love all of his songs
Ive studied Conway Twitty's life and career, and I never knew that he helped Mickey really get his touring career going.
RIP Mickey
I miss Dave Ward.

If John Travolta's in a movie I'm watching it. Even a country music movie. He's one of the best and so good looking always. ❤❤❤ 😊😊

I didn't know Gilley had that accident, so sorry he can't play that piano anymore, he was as good as his cousin's I believe they are, Jerry Lee Lewis. Glad he's still singing! And Urban Cowboy is a great movie!
I have this movie on DVD
No mention of when he wrecked his Miata and nearly got killed.
Pam? Or Sissy? 👀
I hope Micky Gilly comes back to singing
Unfortunately he probably died soon after your post
Sherwood Cryer did more for Pasadena, country music and the culture than most of the dbags in the hof. Sherwood Cryer not being in the CMHOF is shameful. Can't trust anyone. MG lied i the interview as usual, he did announce they were doing UC on a talk show. Like he thought it up. smmfh
We all know Gilleys was burned down to collect the insurance.
Where's all the people of color at..
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe not your movie... move along.
