I loved the punch debate! Thank you for leaving that in. These types of back and forth are both entertaining and informative. I never skip ahead, because the reason I watch the channel instead of using a text recipe is for exactly this stuff.
Thanks so much for the shout out! Big fan of your work and am just amazed at the rate you’re able to churn out such high quality informative videos! One of these days I’ll get back to film something haha. Regarding leftover punch, one suggestion is to milk clarify all your leftovers and it should last indefinitely in the fridge. Then it’s a quick and delicious cocktail to serve any guests who come over! I do this with leftover punch that I bring to parties as well since it pains me to dump anything. You probably already know how to milk clarify, but basically I just add the leftover punch to about 1/4th the volume of milk, shake well and let sit overnight. Then run it all through a coffee filter once or twice until it’s fully translucent. Keep in fridge and bam, ready to go “fancy” cocktail that lasts indefinitely! :) Cheers!
You should get back to filming for your channel, it takes a while to get it going, but you were on to something there. We were watching. Good suggestion on the punch. We a video about milk clarification.
If you make a punch, throw a staff party, I'm sure they will be happy. Also, I've found if you prepare fruit for a sangria, soak it in alcohol and then throw that mix in the freezer it will infuse and preserve nicely. I wouldn't freeze a premixed cocktail though as citrus elements would likely degrade.
Finally subscribed and did that bell thing! I never did before because I always made sure to watch the videos anyway. But every little bit counts. Do your part, people! Anyway, here's a cocktail suggestion: The Manzanita. I've always been a classic cocktails guy, but this cocktail is phenomenal. I've never heard of it before, but Nopa ins San Francisco makes one that is seriously one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Not sure of the full specs in terms of measurements, but it's got Del Maguey Mezcal, Apple Liqueur, Punt e Mes Dolin Dry Vermouth
Is it possible to obtain some kind of similar result with another Rye Wisky ? Like let say Hudson Rye for exemple ? Thank you guys for what you share :)
Yes, I rarely use proprietary brands on this show and if I do I state it explicitly. You can use whatever Rye you want, I recommend over 100 proof but that’s a preference

I just made one, making the quarantine a bit nicer. I happened to have all the ingredients, although I've used Jim Bean Rye, as we don't have Rittenhouse in Europe. It's very good, and nice to use a bit of my Benedictine again. Thanks for the vid!
We do have it in Europe now! Lol. My bottle arrived yesterday in the mail. The same 100proof/50%alc used in the video. It’s very good whiskey, i had a little sip
The Educated Barfly maybe you could have a series where you randomly choose a bottle or two and make a cocktail on the spot? Like someone doing the “Surprise me” at a bar. That way you show us what’s back there and get creative.
@@TheEducatedBarfly I don't think so. I'm always looking at those bottles on the backbar. It could serve as inspiration as I'm currently adding stuff to mine.
Try my non rum tiki cocktail. 1.5oz pink gin .75oz lime simple syrup 2.5oz fresh pineapple juice Shake, pour over ice top with about 3oz Canadian dry ginger ale
For years now I have been juicing limes/lemons large scale and then freezing in ice cubes. Each is 30ml. I’ve taste tested against fresh and can’t tell the difference. Cuts down on waste. 👍
Same here. My bottle of Benedictine was being reduced at the rate of two bar spoons per occasional drink. At that rate it was going to be finished by my distant descendants.
Vincent Mangelli Nope - The Cocktail Kingdom Nick and Nora (linked in show notes) is not etched. They offer several on their actual website but none are this one. The mystery remains.... I think in some show he mentions getting it from a gin producer but I could be wrong on that. 🤷🏻♂️
David, after I replied like you I didn't find the same glass. However, AMZ does have a couple of other etched glasses that in my "list" to buy, when I have an oppty I'll post here... They may be identical to Leandro's or at least I'm sure you'll find them more similar is your look
You have a good personality, but will your editor please let us know if you’re going to spend 10 minutes talking about irrelevant things? I came here to watch your video. But to waste my time talking about stuff that really isn’t relevant is stupid. It’s kind of a spit in the face. Just give a quick historic speech on THAT cocktail you’re making. Not every other cocktail in existence before it. Shut up, remember all your stuff, and make the drink. For the love of god.
sknybrg i Watch on my TV. There’s no way to find time stamps. Also, if it takes you over 9 minutes to read four or five sentences, you may need some help.
Oh I'm sorry. I'm new to this channel so I never knew that. So a timestamp in a video to not watch a part of a video. Very clever. Thanks for informing me. Will definitely check the 'TIMESTAMP' next.
Seems like our friend Jon Cab here is very accustomed to this channel, he spends his time scolding new subs while drinking his newly learned cocktail, ain't it Jon?
Next time, you ask the uploader to put your name in the title of the video. Like 'Dirty Martini with Jon Cab dissing new viewers about timestamp'. That way it will keep us 'PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW TIMESTAMP IN THE DESCRIPTION', from bothering your glourious, precious, flawless videos. Yeah Jon Cab? Whatchu say bro?

Faith you´re awesome! :)
Some goooood pre cocktail rambling in this one. Love it! Great work again
A cocktail using Benedictine! Yes! Everything needed is already in my cabinet, and I can grab some limes on the way back from work. Thank you!
Very nice. This is pretty close to a Monty Carlo. I will have to give this a try for sure.
You could do the punch episode at the bar and sell as a special
Made one of these while I’m watching the video. This cocktail is really nice, like a cold tart cinnamon roll in the best way
Iirc. Dave Arnold writes that citrus juices go bad in freezing as well.
I dig this one.... Will be assembling @ 5:01pm today.
Leando doing lots of tikis is the reason I ran out of rum...

Glad your back to whiskey cocktails. I have been making nothing but tiki for the last month. I haven't stirred a drink in a while.
Cocktail pour: 9:08 :)
Love the idea! I'm gonna go get me a big punch bowl. Can't wait!
I clicked the time stamp. Well played sir
I'm a simple man. I see Benedictine, I like.
There is nothing simple about benedictine :D
@@streetninja510 Ya got me there.
I love Master the Classics!! YEEEAAAAAAHHHHH
Whenever I see Old Overholt... I buy it. That said, Rittenhouse is my next go-to
Would scaling the punch work? E.g. 10:1 etc
What's that Rhum (J. M.?) bottle in the background on the right? Never seen it with blue label.
Hello, I went to your amazon page and i was looking for your apron you used in this episode but i didn't saw it there.

could you do a video where you go through all the bottles behind you on the counter?
moviehousefire sure, wouldn’t that be super boring though?

So, is this basically a variation of a Frisco?
Finally benedictine drink 🥰 my bottle which I bought 2 years ago is almost full 🙈 usually using it just for Singapore Slings

@@christopherreed4723 and honestly.. This is why i love Mixology. Buying nice bottles not just for drink it same night but collect and make memories 🤗
So it's basically a Montecarlo sour. I'll have this tonight.
This conversation makes me want to freeze my grandma's punch in smaller batches/rocks then add alcohol. By the glass punch!!
I’m sure you’ve answered this 1,000,000 times.. but where did you get that Nick & Nora?? It’s awesome!

Nice cocktail. Doesn't stand out but it's nice.
More rye cocktails. Josss.
This looks delicious. Gotta grab some benedictine

Too much talk
da fak are you talking sooo much!!!???
make the drink and then talk as much as you want

Yeah, this is actually bordering on ridiculous. I'm 8 minutes into babbling about other subjects...
There's a time stamp in the video description. Really not that difficult.
This video is so long because of your discussion. We just wanna drink
