I was an elder and in for 60 years. I got to the point of being suicidal. Severely depressed and had uncontrolled anxiety. I had to make a change so I left. I lost all my so called friends and my wife and son. With a lot of work I am now 45 pounds lighter , off all meds and truly happy for the first time in my life. No more cognitive dissonance and I can serve God and his son with a clear conscience . For the first time I feel like I have a real relationship with God and real freedom.
Sadly my father's involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses when he committed adultery in his marriage to my mentally ill and reactionary mother played a part in him going through with his choice to take his own life in 1974. It created a legacy of deep pain and dysfunction which is now in it's 51st year. I firmly believe that the Jehovah's Witness policy of Guilt shaming played a major part in his decision. Thank you Watchtower Society for all the compassionate guiding before I lost my father and all the manipulation after.

Re higher education, the last talk this summer on Saturday assembly by Brother Bell from Warwick was heavily pushing against higher education, and pioneering as the only option because armaggedon is so close. I was baptised 1968 aged 13 and I pioneered during the 70s because the paradise was coming in 1975. That was a fact, and heavily taught at meetings and assemblies. Most of my jw friends now live very poor lives now with tiny pensions because of the lies from this Watchtower book publisher and and they don't care about the rank and file Jehovah's Witnesses.
Oh shunning is alive and thriving here in the UK… I’m sure it helps them feel more ‘a special chosen’ people but of course never mind who they crush on their journey☹️

Higher education is definitely soft shunned. I was JW 3 generation for 30 years, elder for several years. You nailed it completely with this video!! Whoever says that higher education is allowed has no clue. You may risk to lose your privileges and are considered bad company. Sorry but most JW don’t know anything about their own rules. They make up their own religion. But reality will confront them brutally one day.
I saw 75 as a young boy. My mother wanted me to be a carpenter.... I made my way, but how many people are living today in poverty because of the simple rule, - no higher education? Since the CSA cases more and more get's known to the public and governments start to react. Others realize that the Bible has not changed since 2000 years, JWs have changed 180 degrees in just 100 years. Not to speak of "the end of the world is just around the corner - since 1914. They have nothing left and soon all will only be online - so to avoid any further consequences. But, and this is sad, there are some good people. I just watch and do not judge. I left 30 years ago.

The funny thing at 7:00. The rule change of beards was because Governing body decided to change the rule. Nothing said about Ja-hova or new light. But as a JW we put the governing body’s rules as rules coming from Ja-hova.
No animosity here, my fellow human. The funny thing is that Jesus compared the extra rules of the Pharasees as being heavy and very burdensome like a yoke. It's notable the Mosaic Laws itself, although instituted by Jehovah,already consisted of hundreds of laws and rules. Do not lose sight of the huge significance of Jesus reducing it to only 2 principle commandments on which the whole Law hangs. Those 2 are what we are to live by, that's why he was able to truly say his yoke is light and kindly. Jesus nor the Apostles burdened worshippers with burdensome rules, neither should anyone today.

💯!!!!! I had a discussion a couple years back and couldn’t get my friend of 40 yrs realize the GB wasn’t inspired. She started to act like I was crazy. I then stated the watchtower that specifically said they were not. She was soooo upset. We later separated as friends and I left her with the fact that she doesn’t even know what she’s supposed to believe. How can she or any of them say they are in unity with this org if they don’t even know the teachings. And the latest easing of “rules” to me seems like a real distraction. The world is going nuts and they are focused on beards and pants😑

Boy o boy do I ever remember my own identity crisis when I left 32 years ago! It was plum scary. But I had to go through it before I could go on with life. We all go though an identity crisis in some form or another, some more than others, when we leave the cult. I was raised a JW and never developed an identity other than being a JW. To be truthful, I still shy away from any kind of identity. I don’t want ANYTHING pinned on me again even if it is good. You’re a very deep thinker, I truly appreciate you!
I feel bad for the kids that were brought up in this cult. I came from the door to door ministry. I was a pioneer pre 1975. I remember when they told us we were separating the sheep from the goats and the end was so close we could not conduct a Bible study for more then 6 months because the end was so near. I knew sisters who never got married because it showed a lack of faith. Wait for the New Order and that was in the late 1920. This cult destroys lives. I remember when every Awake in the cover said the generation that lived in 1914 Jehovah promised they would still be alive. I woke up after 1975, however the poor kids that trusted their parents and then found out when they became an adult The Truth is Not The Truth. I was 16 easily brainwashed, but I escaped and did not become a slave of The Watchtower for so many years. So Sad ! 1799,1874,1914,1925,1975 . You are correct about education and everything else.
I have walked past and directly in front of two witness carts in the last 3 weeks. They did not even say “Hi” to me as I walked past. Pathetic. If they really cared about people and wanted to talk about their religion, they would greet people.

The “new light” story that they feed us for more than a hundred years. My parents never thought that they would die. Now they are in their 70s and grandparents. That 1914 generation end times teaching, is plain false teaching. And yet the pressure in the congregation is still strong. If you’re not seen in the field service often enough they start with soft shunning you, not inviting you anymore, no more friendly chit chat after the meetings. Only the elders that invite you for field service until you give in. I used to get disgusted with the way young people used to dress in the 90s. Now I don’t recognise the congregation as being Jehovah’s Witnesses any more. It’s only watching silly videos during the meetings. No more real study like we used to do in the 80s and 90s. With their bible only on their phone-app most witnesses don’t have any clue which bible book is where in the bible. Brothers don’t know if Mozes was there before or after Abraham. It’s like you say, there’s a big identity crisis.

When we regularly studied deep topics from books like "Did Man get here by Evolution or Creation",......"True Peace and Security--From what Source?"....."Is the Bible Really the Word of God?" "Life: How did it get here? By Evolution or Creation?"...."All Scripture is Inspired of God and Beneficial",..."Daniel's Prophecies",......"Revelation: It's Grand Climax at Hand!",........etc. etc. Demonstrations at the Theocratic Ministry School where we actually used a hard cover Bible to answer questions with many scriptures. And the books "Make Sure of all Things" and "Reasoning from the Scriptures" were my favorite reference books on commonly asked questions. I agree that his proliferation of wireless electronic devices radiating at gigahertz frequencies into the brains and cells of ignorant people not informed on the effects of EMF has dumbed down the average JW.

Real Truths are incorruptible. Solid as a Rock. You can build anything on solid foundations. Jehovah's Word is perfect, Jehovah doesn't need to be, re-edited. If Jehovah has to change his position, then something has gone wrong because he is infallible. Jehovah cannot be contradictory. So where does this, New Light come from? Who are the Governing Body to say, Jehovah has got it wrong on many issues and wants his imperfect (Faithfull and Discreet Slaves) Humans to question Jehovah's Almighty Will and break the news to his Worshippers that Jehovah isn't quite the absolute Law of the universe he was supposed to be. That's either new light which destroys Jehovah utterly and completely, or Watchtower is a Satanic Organisation like every other Heretic operation on earth.

@@robertgrey6101 My life has been negatively impacted upon by the family association of the JWs, from a very very early age. Hence I feel qualified to speak my mind and experiences. I am not motivated by anger, even though I have a right to, I am moved to comment based on truth. I have studied their ways and have spent a lot of time trying to make sense of the circus which never added up. I find most of the Jehovah's Witnesses I know to be nice agreeable people but ever so slightly brainwashed or lacking the capability to question some very blatant inaccurate conditioning. That is more to do with my interest in the psychology of how people's minds work. It troubles me to see good people being manipulated into accepting unproven conjecture. I won't roll over and comply to false teachings. I watch a TV show called Judge Judy. It features a Courtroom situation where a female US judge presides over issues between two parties and make a ruling. My favourite expression she says on a regular basis is one we should all employ if we want to clear up the blurred double talk some plaintiffs or defendants use to try to worm their way out of an untruth. Her mantra is, "If something doesn't make sense, it's because it's not true"! So every time someone tries to "pull the wool over somebody's eyes" challenge their statements and test them with her "acid test". It will serve you well, everytime.

It should never be that you are reliant for healing upon the whims and positive responses of people who in the past have proven themselves to be destructive, neglectful, abusive manipulative etc.” “If someone is manipulative, they will only respond to consequences. Conversations with manipulative people without consequences are meaningless, in fact you’ve just shown them a weakness, in that, you want them to behave better which means they will start manipulating you based on that. If you show a weakness or a need to a manipulative person you’re just saying to an abuser ‘this is where it hurts me the most.’” “Depression is the exhaustion left behind when you fail to get angry when you should get angry. Whatever you’re not angry at or won’t let yourself be angry at, the shadow cast by that is depression.”
Realistically speaking, paradise will never be. Your father must realize this. 😔 It took my parents over 50 years to finally wake up back in 2022 when the pandemic started to stabilize. They were scammed, hoodwinked, and bamboozled. Best wishes in 2025. 💗

I am non-denonination. My family is JW. I have cousins in town and cousins in the big city 2 hours away. I would ask cousins in OKC a question, then ask the cousins here and vice versa and got different answers 100% percent of the time. Neither knew what their own beliefs were. Neither wanted to discuss Jesus either. I never got an answer about why none of their buildings had windows either. I genuinely had legit questions! Nothing was scriptural and I caught Bible quotes in their Watchtower quoted wrong by moving a simple comma. They wanted me to hear them but they had no interest in hearing me. I invite them into my house (Momons also) but when I am done with them with scripture they don't come back. I have made one Mormon friend who helped me fix my car 5 years ago. We remain friends. Jehovah's Witnesses are so FALSE. READ YOUR BIBLES PEOPLE! Not a magazine!
I've also wondered why there now r 3 standing at carts also, when it's clear people r walking by as families, with their dogs or a friend facing ea other talking n have no idea what or who they passed. Once I was at a family baby shower n my mother in law (I was a witness at the time, but not anymore). Shecsaid to me, what is that down there. I looked n said, oh its the jws n their cart witnessing. Say no more she walked away respectfully. But I thought, what a stupid place to put it when all the people were on the streets where the shops were. (I realise they can only be where council approves). But these witnesses n itsxall approved count this as witnessing time n as a witness fading for yrs, felt it was false n wrong. I go walking a fair bit in diff areas n sometimes just sit n observe the witnesses at their carts, gasbagging to ea other, occasionally acknowledging a pass a bye. Pants just approved ....what a joke....NOT ON THE PLATFORM , but yes but witnessing. But if u visit Bethel (the house of God) put your skirt o, make it knee length or longer. Um isn't that csme sis representing God when she attends the kh. It's illogical n men STILL putting a woman in place with we r superior to u. Don't u represent God out in the ministry also. I've seen one sister in leggins. She made them look nest withba long jumper n boots (definately my style, comfy n what I also would like to wear also. All prominent witnesses who had a different opinion atvthe time n were silenced n disfellowshipped. No diff to beards 2day, bros in the past have been stood down as elders, min servants for beards. So yesterday your bad association n 2day your gods loyal witness. Yesterday u couldn't be an elder bc your only reporting 8hrs a mth....u need 10 for the body of elders to approve u. N now r reporting...nar forget it. I reported mthly since a kid, so thousands of reports???????? N to finish I saw 3 sisters recently at the carts. All sitting on a bench near the cart, heads down on their mobiles. Took a pic to prove it to my husband incase he didn't believe me. He did. I said to my elder bro in law, I think they r from your cong. His response. He laughed.

There is indeed an identity crisis. My father, like yours, has been a JW since the early seventies. I was never baptized and left the organization since 1992, I was born in 1970, I was a child when my parents started in the organization. He has been an elder for over 40 years and she is a regular precursor. I recently learned and confirmed that all the original literature of the organization is full of spiritism and occultism, and that the Governing Body was serving at the table of demons by reading, studying and quoting spiritist literature in their publications. The Governing Body knows that everyone knows this, so they are in an identity crisis. They know their roots are in spiritism.
These new changes show how they're not above lawsuits but the changes also make me angry because I got the short end of it, back when shunning was their card of choice. I was never good enough and when I dared to love someone from the outside, I was HOUNDED at work and my home, accosted to admit to sins and shortcomings and in the end, the elders signed my resignation letter for me... all because I was going through a traumatic separation and didn't want them to further crush my spirit. I lost contact of "friends" of years and family. It's a guilt ridden cult.
5:36 Women can still wear pants and be formally dressed. Some countries like in India have some formal styles where women wear pants. JWs are so caught up with Watchtower’s culture that they lose sight of the spirit of the occasion.

The change on beards finished me off. As a teen and in our 20s we were lambasted for not shaving and not used for the microphones or sound desk. Now its ok, its fine. You would be deleted as an elder, true. But you still can clean toilet, comment, etc. We have to distinguish “not favorable” from “removed as a JW.” Watchtower not elders will pay your bills. So if going to college to better feed yourself results in not being an elder, in my perspective, it is a good deal. After you get your degree, volunteer for Watchtower and all is forgiven. And I am aware most JW are sheep-minded. Almost none have my point of view. But that does not mean my point of view is wrong or a JW would get deleted for it.

I feel sorry for j ws. I speak with them and pray for them . Many feel " something is wrong..." I had one couple on my door. After they presented their version of gospel I asked them to read Revelation John 20:7. Saying: By the end of the thousand years Satan is let loose from his prison..." Asked the jw to repeat it 3 times. He was confused. I said; you just told me that the thousan years is paradise...eternity...where the devil and all evil is gone..." He looked at me, we continued reading. And he/ we saw that the Bibilcal Harmageddon is to happen after the thousand years, when Satan for the last time seduces people. He was so confused but very honest. I said we go to John revelation 16, where its written the PLACE Harmageddon, also explaining that this is Gods true plan. He will gather satans follower there and the battle og Harmageddon will come. At the same time showing them that saved believers are in heaven, the big white crowd. The woman tried to call an elder. She also thought my bibel was wrong. So I used her Bible. I explained that the Harmageddon war is Gods business after thousand years. It has very little to do with the true gospel of Jesus Christ and His kingdom. But we see all the signs, the wars , catastrophes etc. Thats right, its signs of THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST COMING WITH ALL THE HOLY ANGELS. ( MATTHEW 25). A New heaven and a New earth is waiting for us. The man was almost in shock. They promised to come back. He came 2 months later. Thanking me. He had really woken up. Started to unravel the ideology. I was an elder and in for 60 years. I got to the point of being suicidal. Severely depressed and had uncontrolled anxiety. I had to make a change so I left. I lost all my so called friends and my wife and son. With a lot of work I am now 45 pounds lighter , off all meds and truly happy for the first time in my life. No more cognitive dissonance and I can serve God and his son with a clear conscience . For the first time I feel like I have a real relationship with God and real freedom.

Sadly my father's involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses when he committed adultery in his marriage to my mentally ill and reactionary mother played a part in him going through with his choice to take his own life in 1974.
It created a legacy of deep pain and dysfunction which is now in it's 51st year.
I firmly believe that the Jehovah's Witness policy of Guilt shaming played a major part in his decision.

Re higher education, the last talk this summer on Saturday assembly by Brother Bell from Warwick was heavily pushing against higher education, and pioneering as the only option because armaggedon is so close. I was baptised 1968 aged 13 and I pioneered during the 70s because the paradise was coming in 1975. That was a fact, and heavily taught at meetings and assemblies. Most of my jw friends now live very poor lives now with tiny pensions because of the lies from this Watchtower book publisher and and they don't care about the rank and file Jehovah's Witnesses.

Higher education is definitely soft shunned. I was JW 3 generation for 30 years, elder for several years. You nailed it completely with this video!! Whoever says that higher education is allowed has no clue. You may risk to lose your privileges and are considered bad company. Sorry but most JW don’t know anything about their own rules. They make up their own religion. But reality will confront them brutally one day.
I saw 75 as a young boy. My mother wanted me to be a carpenter.... I made my way, but how many people are living today in poverty because of the simple rule, - no higher education? Since the CSA cases more and more get's known to the public and governments start to react. Others realize that the Bible has not changed since 2000 years, JWs have changed 180 degrees in just 100 years. Not to speak of "the end of the world is just around the corner - since 1914. They have nothing left and soon all will only be online - so to avoid any further consequences. But, and this is sad, there are some good people. I just watch and do not judge. I left 30 years ago.

The funny thing at 7:00. The rule change of beards was because Governing body decided to change the rule. Nothing said about Ja-hova or new light. But as a JW we put the governing body’s rules as rules coming from Ja-hova.
No animosity here, my fellow human. The funny thing is that Jesus compared the extra rules of the Pharasees as being heavy and very burdensome like a yoke. It's notable the Mosaic Laws itself, although instituted by Jehovah,already consisted of hundreds of laws and rules. Do not lose sight of the huge significance of Jesus reducing it to only 2 principle commandments on which the whole Law hangs. Those 2 are what we are to live by, that's why he was able to truly say his yoke is light and kindly. Jesus nor the Apostles burdened worshippers with burdensome rules, neither should anyone today.

I had a discussion a couple years back and couldn’t get my friend of 40 yrs realize the GB wasn’t inspired. She started to act like I was crazy. I then stated the watchtower that specifically said they were not. She was soooo upset.
We later separated as friends and I left her with the fact that she doesn’t even know what she’s supposed to believe. How can she or any of them say they are in unity with this org if they don’t even know the teachings.
And the latest easing of “rules” to me seems like a real distraction. The world is going nuts and they are focused on beards and pants😑

Jesus Christ accused Peter of being controlled by Satan. Here is the deal Matthew 11:25 makes it clear that only God can give a person understanding of the bible where Jesus Christ said in prayer: "I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children" That holy spirit operated toward or upon men to move them and guide them in setting down God’s message. Thus, the apostle Peter says of Bible prophecy: “You know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.” (2Pe 1:20, 21) (2 Timothy 3:16) "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness" The true God chooses who He gives knowledge to and like the apostles of the 1st century CE the GB fills a similar role today as the faithful and discreet slave that feed the sheep and defend the truth with God's spirit.

JWs are not trained to debate they are trained to preach. From a spiritual point of view nothing good can come out of debating God's word the bible. Boy o boy do I ever remember my own identity crisis when I left 32 years ago! It was plum scary. But I had to go through it before I could go on with life. We all go though an identity crisis in some form or another, some more than others, when we leave the cult. I was raised a JW and never developed an identity other than being a JW. The “new light” story that they feed us for more than a hundred years. My parents never thought that they would die. Now they are in their 70s and grandparents. That 1914 generation end times teaching, is plain false teaching. And yet the pressure in the congregation is still strong. If you’re not seen in the field service often enough they start with soft shunning you, not inviting you anymore, no more friendly chit chat after the meetings. Only the elders that invite you for field service until you give in. I used to get disgusted with the way young people used to dress in the 90s. Now I don’t recognise the congregation as being Jehovah’s Witnesses any more. It’s only watching silly videos during the meetings. No more real study like we used to do in the 80s and 90s. With their bible only on their phone-app most witnesses don’t have any clue which bible book is where in the bible. Brothers don’t know if Mozes was there before or after Abraham. It’s like you say, there’s a big identity crisis.

And the books "Make Sure of all Things" and "Reasoning from the Scriptures" were my favorite reference books on commonly asked questions.

I watch a TV show called Judge Judy. It features a Courtroom situation where a female US judge presides over issues between two parties and make a ruling.
My favourite expression she says on a regular basis is one we should all employ if we want to clear up the blurred double talk some plaintiffs or defendants use to try to worm their way out of an untruth.
Her mantra is, "If something doesn't make sense, it's because it's not true"!
So every time someone tries to "pull the wool over somebody's eyes" challenge their statements and test them with her "acid test".

I am non-denonination. My family is JW. I have cousins in town and cousins in the big city 2 hours away. I would ask cousins in OKC a question, then ask the cousins here and vice versa and got different answers 100% percent of the time. Neither knew what their own beliefs were. Neither wanted to discuss Jesus either. I never got an answer about why none of their buildings had windows either. I genuinely had legit questions! Nothing was scriptural and I caught Bible quotes in their Watchtower quoted wrong by moving a simple comma.
They wanted me to hear them but they had no interest in hearing me. I invite them into my house (Momons also) but when I am done with them with scripture they don't come back. I have made one Mormon friend who helped me fix my car 5 years ago. We remain friends. Jehovah's Witnesses are so FALSE. READ YOUR BIBLES PEOPLE! Not a magazine!

I was never baptized and left the organization since 1992, I was born in 1970, I was a child when my parents started in the organization. He has been an elder for over 40 years and she is a regular precursor. I recently learned and confirmed that all the original literature of the organization is full of spiritism and occultism, and that the Governing Body was serving at the table of demons by reading, studying and quoting spiritist literature in their publications. The Governing Body knows that everyone knows this, so they are in an identity crisis. They know their roots are in spiritism.

Follow the SAME religion that Jesus, his Apostles and Disciples followed : none! It wasn't Judaism, Jehovah's witnesses, Catholic,Etc.
Jesus himself said to the Samaritan woman at the well that Jehovah is to be worshipped in spirit and truth so therefore He could be worshipped anywhere . Since Jesus is the ONLY WAY to Him, then ONLY what Jesus taught in the Holy Scriptures is to be adhered to.

We have to distinguish “not favorable” from “removed as a JW.” Watchtower not elders will pay your bills. So if going to college to better feed yourself results in not being an elder, in my perspective, it is a good deal. After you get your degree, volunteer for Watchtower and all is forgiven.
And I am aware most JW are sheep-minded. Almost none have my point of view. But that does not mean my point of view is wrong or a JW would get deleted for it.
The Bible clearly states that before humans appeared on the earth, only Jehovah's family of witnesses existed in the universe. The first witness to leave the family was the angel who became "Satan" the first apostate. Today, either one is serving Jehovah or the adversary Satan. There is no sitting on the fence.

I speak with them and pray for them . Many feel " something is wrong..." I had one couple on my door. After they presented their version of gospel I asked them to read Revelation John 20:7. Saying: By the end of the thousand years Satan is let loose from his prison..." Asked the jw to repeat it 3 times. He was confused. I said; you just told me that the thousan years is paradise...eternity...where the devil and all evil is gone..."
He looked at me, we continued reading. And he/ we saw that the Bibilcal Harmageddon is to happen after the thousand years, when Satan for the last time seduces people. He was so confused but very honest. I said we go to John revelation 16, where its written the PLACE Harmageddon, also explaining that this is Gods true plan. He will gather satans follower there and the battle og Harmageddon will come. At the same time showing them that saved believers are in heaven, the big white crowd. The woman tried to call an elder. She also thought my bibel was wrong. So I used her Bible. I explained that the Harmageddon war is Gods business after thousand years. It has very little to do with the true gospel of Jesus Christ and His kingdom.
But we see all the signs, the wars , catastrophes etc. Thats right, its signs of THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST COMING WITH ALL THE HOLY ANGELS. ( MATTHEW 25).

Most jw are truthseeking people who are caught up in a salad of words and twisted bibleverses. Be kind with them and show respect. Their intention is good. They are truly lost sheeps and need the true light and faith in our living and loving saviour. ❤

But Catholics and Protestants, both Christians killed each other for hundreds of years. Civil Wars were Christians killing Christians, even families kill each other. World War 1 and 2 were Christians killing Christians. Hitler and Mosoulini were Christians. The Constitution of America is based on the Christian God, but wherever there is war, America goes.
Jehovah's Witnesses were executed or incarcerated on both sides of the World Wars because they refuse to join the war and kill their fellow man.
There are Museums about Jehovah's Witnesses during the World wars in London and Germany.
