The prayers we pray for our beloved people still in, may not affect them to leave, but if they pass, our God Jesus will meet them and be merciful and loving. God knows how trapped some people are in the WT of New York businessmen. They’ve been told horrible lies and have not formed the abilities to critically think yet. For some to leave, it would mean leaving family behind and never seeing them again. They are not strong enough yet for that to happen. Others are held captive because they have been told if they leave, they will be destroyed and a JW loved one who died will be resurrected but will miss the destroyed one. Remember, WT is a cracker-Jack Corporate Entity with the best marketing and advertising teams, well-paid. As their businesses abound, it is imperative that a religious front for tax exempt status stay strong and controlling. For that, and to keep from losing money and Court cases, WT must hire the best and most savvy Experts in every field. JWs are being bought and sold and are ready to drop everything, pick up their “to-go bags” and follow the now-well-filmed and known GB heroes anywhere at anytime. Narcissist is a mental illness, not physical. But everyone has personas which is “normal”. I know what you mean. Some guy was talking about the narcissist thinking about him or herself. Then I felt guilty because I thought well, yeah, you think about yourself. Even Jesus said: “Love your neighbor as YOURSELF.” Gaslighting was a big popular term; being a sociopath came before narcissism. Psychopath was popular before any of them. I’m not denying they’re real diagnoses, but people tend to hook up with these phrases and think they apply to everyone they meet, like JWs have hooked up to Armageddon and Paradise and being Special. We’re human beings being human. That’s it.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses (the organization) is narcissistic. At the core, humans who 'leaned into' their own narcissism are attracted to the message of "living forever on a paradise earth" and will do whatever takes, at any cost, at any loss, at any loss of relationship to achieve that sole very selfish goal which is a choice. That being the core, everything else you mention is power-for-the-course once one is inside the organization and the consequence of that choice. The other humans within the organization making the same choice, drawn to the same selfish goal behave dreadfully as they too have 'leaned into' their own narcissism. Some Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses (unfortunately) have never explored this and is why some ultimately return to the organization or fall deep into victim-hood via binary thinking that "they are bad, I am good" which is still leaning into their own narcissism. Life is nuanced as are our relationships, experiences and growing discernment muscle enables us to make better choices when faced with them at any time in our lives.
The Bible clearly states that before humans appeared on the earth only Jehovah's family of witnesses existed in the universe. The first witness to leave the family was the angel who became "Satan" the first apostate. Today either one is serving Jehovah or the adversary Satan. There is no sitting on the fence.

Sooo...the kid who disagreed with a doctrine got disfellowshipped and labeled “Apostate”. He committed suicide. The doctrine was changed years later. So the suicide and being marked was for nothing. Which side of the fence was the GB on?
