- On January 21st, Burton Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire on Norton Street. Crews called in route and chief arrived to report fire showing from the upstairs of a residential structure. All occupants were reported out of the house. Ladder 1 arrived with a crew of five, and pulled a pre-connect from the truck. Crews made an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control within 10 minutes. Temperatures were negative one degree during the fire. Burton responded with both stations.

Question from a Buff: Totally understand the need to flush a hydrant, but why such an extreme flush? Temperature???
@@jimdavenport8020 the water looked awful for most of the flush. And I think he was trying to avoid flowing a crazy stream across the front of the ladder.
